Walton Montessori offers a child-friendly environment for 4 month olds to five-year-olds, which follows the Montessori Philosophy of encouraging independent learning.

Each child has their own targets, which they work towards with support from qualified Early Years practitioners. At Walton Montessori Pre-School they also follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is an early years curriculum for children from birth to five-years-old. Walton Montessori is a fantastic nursery! Both of my sons currently attend and they have come on in leaps and bounds. The nursery setting is boundless for little minds to explore and have fun in and the teachers are one in a million, they really care about the children and their learning. The weekly newsletter is a great read too! They are currently preparing my eldest for school in many ways and this will really help him in his transition to big school. All in all, I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough, they do a fantastic job every single day.

My son has attended Montessori since he was 2.5 years old having previously been with a childminder. He settled in ever so quickly making special bonds with other children and staff. He has learnt ever so much, he has lots of fun and has especially enjoyed Forest School and playball. He adores his key worker and they are always making very creative arts and crafts together. The newly refurbished room is fantastic. We have loved him being there and will miss all the lovely caring staff now he’s off to big school.

Our son has had a lovely educational journey at Walton Montessori. It was his first experience at a nursery and he was immediately made to feel welcome and settled in with ease. Everyone is so friendly and supportive and they provide you with regular feedback about your child's learning, eating and sporting achievements. The nursery coped really well with lockdown providing online support to the children via Zoom and ensuring the kids were always kept busy with abundant activities. I love the weekly newsletter we receive which gives an overview of their learning and weekly activities and I like that we get to see what our children have been up to via the app. Thank you for giving our son such a great start, he is more than ready for school now!

I cannot rate the staff at the nursery highly enough. I have been so happy leaving my two children here in their care. It has not always been easy given that they are both criers! The staff know exactly how to reassure the parents as well as the children. My children love their time at the nursery and for me, that was the main concern, that they were happy and cared for in a safe environment. Thank you for being brilliant Walton Montessori!

This is a lovely nursery with caring, engaging staff. The classroom is well set up with a range of fun activities for children participate in.

Forest School is a particular strength where the children learn about fire safety and enjoy exploring their environment outside.

The team are extremely approachable and will listen to any queries or concerns you might have, working hard to support the children in their learning and ensuring that their happiness is priority.

My son started at Walton Montessori just after his second birthday. I was a little worried he would be the youngest (and smallest) but I need not have been concerned. The principle and all the staff at Walton Montessori have been brilliant, they all helped my son to settle in at his pace, providing him with the structure and nurture he needed. He now runs in each morning, speaks highly of his friends and staff and looks forward to going.
I viewed other nurseries when making the big decision about where he would be best suited and other nurseries did not display the personal yet professional feel that Walton Montessori demonstrated. They greet each child not only by name but with a smile and they appear to have a genuine interest in supporting each and every child to achieve their full potential.

The newly refurbished rooms, furniture and equipment has been the icing on the cake as this has now provided an even more fabulous space for the children to learn and grow.

My daughter has attended since May and I honestly could not be happier. I leave for work knowing that she is in a safe and loving environment. The principle and the team at Montessori are genuine, loving, fun and caring. They are always on hand to talk to and will give me a full honest brief of her day. My daughter does not want to leave when I pick her up and has such a good relationship with the principle and her team. She has made lovely friends (and I have met lovely mums) and has come along leaps and bounds. I feel so lucky to have the Montessori on my doorstep they really made my transition back to work easy. I would recommend this nursery to all.

We put our son into Walton Montessori in the summer after moving into the area. We chose the nursery as we liked the Montessori ethos but also the forest school on site.

Since joining, my son has settled quickly and loves attending and talks about all the members of staff all the time and how they are his friends.

We have been really pleased with our choice of nursery and I feel our son will be ready for reception next Autumn. I would recommend the nursery to any parent.

Having moved our little girl from another nursery in the area, we have been absolutely delighted with Walton Montessori. The staff are exceptional, so caring, diligent and professional. My little girl is very shy and skipped in after her first day, she now asks to go on her days off! The staff do so much with her, she does Forest school, playball and athletics alongside the usual painting, drawing etc activities. Such a difference to our last nursery- a genuinely lovely atmosphere which is nurturing whilst encouraging independence. They have also been very flexible in giving me extra days at short notice. I would recommend to anyone.

My daughter has been going to Stagecoach Montessori since earlier this summer and settled in straight away - to the point where she doesn't say goodbye at drop off and doesn't want to come home at pick up! Laura and her team are so caring and their genuine enthusiasm and interest in the children shines through. I've also been extremely impressed with the Montessori methods of learning-through-play and feel that my daughter will be well prepared for reception next year following her time at Stagecoach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to others looking for a nurturing environment that enriches their children's lives and encourages their development in a gentle but considered way.

I have been working in Early Years for over 23 years, I have a level 5 in Early Years and am also Forest School trained. I have a passion for teaching in the early years and seeing how children learn and develop in their first stage of life is so important and of course supporting parents in all stages of the early years. I am also SENCo trained and support any additional. We as a team are like a family I work closely in all rooms and support staff with teaching methods with my knowledge.

I consider myself a committed, creative, and enthusiastic educator who believes in making learning fun for children. My 21 years’ experience in schools and nurseries has taught me that parents are children’s first educators, making communication with them vital to children’s learning and development. I am passionate about providing a stimulating and natural learning environment for children; especially considering the nature deficit created because of lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the years, I have developed the leadership skills crucial to inspiring and motivating teams into working together to create an ethos of quality, learning, care, and development for all children.
