My son and daughter have both been extremely well looked after at Walton Montessori and we all feel part of the family. They have loads of fun in the big garden and forest school, and doing theatre bugs! My daughter has additional needs and staff have been very attentive and caring, making time to discuss strategies often with myself and my partner, and have helped us so much in so many ways. We are so grateful, and so glad we found Walton Montessori. It really is a special place.
I was anxious about her starting nursery and expected it to be a traumatic and long settling-in period due to her strong attachment to me.
She has settled in so smoothly and well it took less than two months thanks to the nurturing environment created by the team.
I can't express my satisfaction and gratitude enough for the care and support provided to her by her teachers.
I must especially highlight the invaluable role of her key person.
The key person's care, love, support, and positivity have had a huge impact on my daughter's settling in at the nursery.
Her regular observations and feedback have been incredibly informative and reassuring for me as a parent. Her enthusiasm and dedication are truly remarkable.
Great work and a huge thank you to everyone at Montessori!
It’s a great place that we’d recommend to anyone.
The learning while having fun approach is spot on and the outdoors spaces they have are a real bonus.
It’s a great place.
Walton Montessori Nursery is a welcoming and supportive environment. My child has settled well and the staff make efforts to create bonds. I'd recommend this setting.
A bustling and social nursery. The staff seem so happy and their manner with the children is loving. Varied activities to stimulate the children. Often arranging events to integrate the parents. I was reassured by the various cultures celebrated, the male to female staff ratio and the quality of chef-cooked food. My eldest is a tough nut to crack; she did not settle with the childminder and was often off nursery due to illness. Yet, she did settle and become very fond of the professionals. My only concern was how onerous the app updates must feel for employees.
Wonderful nursery. The staff are amazing and really go above and beyond to make the children's days fun, interesting and educational. They have a lovely forest school area, so the children get to whittle little pencils and make hot chocolate whilst in nature. Our daughter absolutely loved it here, and her speech and development have been amazingly fast as a result. Lovely community feel and also places to park your car and leave your buggies too. Highly recommend!
The nursery has been an amazing experience for my son and us as parents. Loving and caring staff, lots of activities with and for children. Kids grow and develop in a safe and comfortable environment. The app also helps parents to get updates on their baby's daily activities. If not for the relocation, we'd love to stay here until school and bring other (future) siblings here too. Amazing!
It is convenient to drop off and pick up, with parking being available most of the time (when selfish locals don’t block the parent spaces!)
There is a good focus on a varied food menu, with special occasions being celebrated with themed food.
The forest school and outside area were a key factor in my choosing the nursery, they are blessed with excellent facilities in this respect.
I find it hard to comment on resources/equipment as parents aren’t allowed into the nursery, so I’m not really sure what they have in this respect, but there always seems to be plenty of activities and themed play organised.
Overall, lots of positives and the staff are such a strong element of this nursery!
A wonderful, safe place to leave my daughter. She goes in happy and leaves happy. We get ample updates during the day which is reassuring and inclusive. The range of activities my daughter is involved in is incredible. Can’t fault it!
My daughter goes to Walton Montessori and I will have no hesitation sending my second one here this year too! A wonderfully nurturing environment with fantastic staff. My daughter goes to nursery happy and leaves each day exhausted as her day is filled with activities and play. Great outdoor space with a forest garden.
The people who work at the nursery are all so caring. They do such nice things with them. My daughter comes home singing songs she has learned. Now she is settled, she basically runs through the door every morning excited to go.
Our children have both been at Walton Montessori for over a year and it's been a very positive experience for us! The staff are fantastic and the attrition rate low, so the children and parents build great relationships with the teachers. Our two are thriving there and we can't recommend the nursery highly enough. Exceptional management, great forest school and regular feedback and photos of what the kids get up to.
We have been really happy with our son's experience at Walton Montessori.
My daughter has been at Walton Montessori Nursery for a year and loves it. She runs in every day, this morning she didn't even have time to say goodbye in her eagerness to get in there. She loves all the nursery staff and frequently talks about them. They do great activities with the children and update us regularly. Her development in phonics and rhymes over the year has been phenomenal. Forest School is a real plus for us too and she often chats about her adventures there. I have been really impressed by the management team and also the level of care each individual takes. I feel my daughter is in the very best hands and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
All the lovely staff of Walton Montessori Nursery (WMN) were part of our daughter's development and 1st stages in life and helped to prepare her for school through creative and educational activities. From day 1 they have made us feel very welcome and my little girl settled into nursery so quickly with a smile at the end of most days which was down to the care and attention of the nursery staff. Initially, our daughter was very shy and struggled with her previous nursery to integrate with other children. One of the most impressive achievements at Walton Montessory Nursery was to guide and nurture our daughter's social skills. A year and a half later, she has become confident to express herself and able to socialise with other children freely. A big thank you to all the team it was a great milestone for us. Many thanks from the heart for all your hard work, love, dedication, patients to the children I can't recommend Walton Montessori Nursery enough. It is a very special place for children and we will never forget them.
Lovely nursery. Both my kids have attended here and couldn't recommend enough. The staff are lovely, and I couldn't be happier with the team. Beautiful set up in each of the rooms as well.
My daughter has settled well and bonded with the staff who are caring and fun. They have great enthusiasm for new themes and different learning environments making the most of the resources they have.
We were unsure where to place our third child after a gap of 2 years out of nursery but have been delighted with Walton Montessori so far. We have used 2 other nurseries in Walton in the past with our other 2 children so know what the local competition is like. Despite all of the challenges of covid, the nursery has been fantastic for our first 4 months. Lovely staff, lovely safe environment, great communication and weekly updates with photos and quality commentary on our little boy and lots of fun activities every day. The staff have been stable and all seem very friendly. Our son reaches out to join them every morning. We couldn't be happier so far with the nursery and hope that others get to read this and feel confident in using this nursery.
After moving to the area and doing so much research and talking to many nursery’s, and doing viewings, I went to see the nursery. I was met by a member of staff to show me around, I found her so lovely and friendly with me and the staff and then I met another member of staff. She was the reason I went for the nursery. She went out of her way to find out about my son and interacted with him straight away without even knowing if I would choose the nursery. This put me at ease knowing I was leaving him with someone who would love and care for him and cuddle him if he hurt himself or just needed that reassurance.
Our son has attended the nursery for the last 2 and a half years. The nursery has recently undergone a massive overhaul and change of manager. We are very happy with the level of care our son has received and the numerous activities he has participated in and as a consequence how he has developed intellectually, emotionally and in himself. Very sad that his time is drawing to a close. There are particular members of staff which really go above and beyond and we really like the fact there is a male nursery staff member who is able to engage active boys so incredibly well.
Thank you very much for your feedback, we are really sad to be saying farewell to your little boy. However, we know he is more than ready for his next journey and we know he will continue to shine at big school.

Meet the Team (23)
I have been working in Early Years for over 23 years, I have a level 5 in Early Years and am also Forest School trained. I have a passion for teaching in the early years and seeing how children learn and develop in their first stage of life is so important and of course supporting parents in all stages of the early years. I am also SENCo trained and support any additional. We as a team are like a family I work closely in all rooms and support staff with teaching methods with my knowledge.
I consider myself a committed, creative, and enthusiastic educator who believes in making learning fun for children. My 21 years’ experience in schools and nurseries has taught me that parents are children’s first educators, making communication with them vital to children’s learning and development. I am passionate about providing a stimulating and natural learning environment for children; especially considering the nature deficit created because of lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the years, I have developed the leadership skills crucial to inspiring and motivating teams into working together to create an ethos of quality, learning, care, and development for all children.
