Bright Stars Day Nursery is a privately run day nursery based in Leatherhead caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years, 52 weeks a year.

There are four different rooms within the setting. There is a calm and cosy baby room where babies can learn, explore and discover the world through sensory based play. The exciting and fast paced pre toddler room where children are encouraged to express themselves and learn through their play, the brand new cabin which caters for older toddlers. The bright and inviting Preschool room is where children are encouraged to take steps towards independence and school readiness whilst still enjoying their learning-based play. Each of these rooms have direct access to their own fully equipped gardens where children have constant free flow access to extend their learning in the outdoor environment.

At Bright Stars Day Nursery, the team work in partnership with parents to ensure that children develop socially, intellectually, culturally, physically and emotionally in a caring and secure environment. Staff encourage parents' contribution to their child's learning and work closely with them to gather information about their child's learning at home.

    9-3 fully funded term time only - small charge of £5 per day for cooked meal/pudding & am/pm snacks
    9-3 x3 days per week for all year round place & 1x 9-1 will give you the full 22 hrs stretched -small charge of £5 per day for cooked meal/pudding am/pm snacks.
    Option to add on 7.30-9 & 3-6pm at additional cost of private fees.

  • Fees are made payable monthly in advance on the first day of attendance. Absences will be charged at full cost. Once a place has been confirmed at the nursery the equivalent to one month's fees will be required as a deposit. If the place is then taken, your deposit will be deducted from your first payment. If your child does not attend the nursery once the place has been accepted the deposit will be non-refundable. If leaving a period of one month is required as notice. Full fees will be charged for days we are closed i.e. bank holidays and a period at Christmas.


    Fees are reviewed in September annually.


    Funded hours= Max 22 hours per week can be claimed if eligible on a stretched place. Max 30 hrs can be claimed on a term time only place.
    Max of 6 hrs per day can be claimed.

Fantastic nursery. My daughter has been here since around 11 months. I have watched her grow and progress here and she become so close with all the nursery assistant's. She knows every single one of them! They always give you daily updates and go above and beyond. She has loved every minute here and
I will be so sad when she leaves for school! Best nursery in the area!

We have been overall very happy with this nursery. My son started there in May this year and we were able to settle him in gradually with us staying with him and then letting him spend an hour there without us which has really helped him settle well. We find the updates from the staff on the app so
helpful and they will always update us quickly in the morning if he has been upset at drop off which is really reassuring. They do so many varied activities with the children and have recently bought in a new food menu which features lots of varied foods that our son is loving! We are very happy with it and our son is very happy there to!

We can't speak highly enough of Bright Stars and certainly can't fault them in any way. Our first born went there from a year old until starting school, our second child is there currently and truly loves it and get excited at drop off.
Every member of nursery staff, including all the room leaders
and management are great; truly caring people who have a passion for what they do and take pride in the activities the children do throughout the day.
Great food provided for the children, and plenty of updates via the app to keep you informed.

My son started at Bright Stars a term ago, and has just turned 2. He has been so well looked after here, and loves coming to nursery every day. His speech, gross motor skills and fine motor skills have all developed really fast, and I feel like every member of staff really cares for him.
They do a
wonderful range of activities every day, and spend so much time in the lovely outside spaces. Communication is fantastic, and I love the app. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.
Our experience at Bright Stars has been wonderful, and I'm so glad we moved my son here from his previous nursery.

Bright stars is a great nursery, my daughter is very happy there, she alway comes home with different pieces of artwork and she does different daily activities, with different themes each week. Bright Stars Day Nursery has surpassed all my expectations. My son has been going to the nursery since January 2024.
I am always impressed with the communication and updates provided by the nursery, as well as the activities, balanced meals and milestone-focused development they provide. In every
area possible, my son has developed and I definitely put some of that down to the hard work they put in every day. Whilst being professional, the staff are also nurturing, kind, patient and fun. I have no concerns whilst my son is in their care and that is priceless. He is happy and stimulated throughout the day and is consistently learning new things. They provide sessions that allow parents to have an insight into nursery life throughout the year and give comprehensive reporting around parents' evenings. With the cost of childcare being a constant topic of conversation, Bright Stars has been and continues to be worth every penny. I would not hesitate to recommend them, over and over again!

I love Bright Stars Day Nursery. The staff care so much about the children, there is always some creative activity which encourages both the imagination and development.
They have been instrumental in leading my son's potty training and speech. He loves going in, I rarely get a second glance at drop-off.

My son has been attending this nursery since September 2023 and it is like a second home for him. The staff are so attentive, kind and friendly towards his additional needs. The app updates are amazing and reassuring for parents who like to know what their child is up to and the activities put on for
parents, like sports day, breakfast club, parents evening etc., are all fab additions to his care. They provide good updates at pick-up and are always there for support and guidance. If you'd like your child to attend a nursery where they genuinely care about your children, send them to Bright Stars Day Nursery!

Bright Stars Day Nursery provided exceptional care and support to my twins. The dedicated staff created a warm environment, tailoring activities to their needs. They went above and beyond for my son with ASD, developing a personalised plan and fostering language skills. The nursery prepared them for
school academically and socially. In addition to the exceptional care and education, they also provided a wide range of stimulating activities and opportunities for creative expression. Communication and regular updates were outstanding, and the staff was always approachable and willing to address any concerns or questions I had.
I wholeheartedly recommend Bright Stars to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their children. The caring and committed staff, along with their focus on individualised care and holistic development, make it a truly exceptional place. This nursery has been brilliant for my child, who moved from another local nursery. I have been so impressed with how efficiently the staff (both carers and management) communicate, and how much information we get about what the children are getting up to. They seem genuinely so enthusiastic about early
years care and are always coming up with exciting activities and sensory play for the children. They are also very transparent and often have events where parents can attend with their children during nursery hours, for breakfast for example.

My children love attending Bright Stars and as a nursery, they have exceeded my expectations in every way. We have attended other nurseries locally and Bright Stars is excellent by comparison.
They care for our children like they are their own and have taken the time to get to know our whole family.
The staff are happy to see my children and the boys love telling me about their teachers and carers.
The range of activities on offer is relevant, seasonal and different every day. The team put huge effort into planning and arranging a huge range of activities and trips, which our children really enjoy.
The communication with parents is second to none and there are regular events to keep parents informed, connected with other parents and informed about curriculum updates.
I can’t recommend them highly enough or thank them enough for the superb job they are doing. I am looking forward to my youngest child starting later this year.
