Bright Stars Day Nursery is a privately run day nursery based in Leatherhead caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years, 52 weeks a year.

There are four different rooms within the setting. There is a calm and cosy baby room where babies can learn, explore and discover the world through sensory based play. The exciting and fast paced pre toddler room where children are encouraged to express themselves and learn through their play, the brand new cabin which caters for older toddlers. The bright and inviting Preschool room is where children are encouraged to take steps towards independence and school readiness whilst still enjoying their learning-based play. Each of these rooms have direct access to their own fully equipped gardens where children have constant free flow access to extend their learning in the outdoor environment.

At Bright Stars Day Nursery, the team work in partnership with parents to ensure that children develop socially, intellectually, culturally, physically and emotionally in a caring and secure environment. Staff encourage parents' contribution to their child's learning and work closely with them to gather information about their child's learning at home.

Funding & Fees

£85 under 2's price per day 7.30-6pm
£76 ages 2-3 price per day 7.30-6pm
£74 ages 3-5 price per day 7.30-6pm


9-3 fully funded term time only - small charge of £5 per day for cooked meal/pudding & am/pm snacks
9-3 x3 days per week for all year round place & 1x 9-1 will give you the full 22 hrs stretched -small charge of £5 per day for cooked meal/pudding am/pm snacks.
Option to add on 7.30-9 & 3-6pm at additional cost of private fees.

Fees are made payable monthly in advance on the first day of attendance. Absences will be charged at full cost. Once a place has been confirmed at the nursery the equivalent to one month's fees will be required as a deposit. If the place is then taken, your deposit will be deducted from your first payment. If your child does not attend the nursery once the place has been accepted the deposit will be non-refundable. If leaving a period of one month is required as notice. Full fees will be charged for days we are closed i.e. bank holidays and a period at Christmas.


Fees are reviewed in September annually.


Funded hours= Max 22 hours per week can be claimed if eligible on a stretched place. Max 30 hrs can be claimed on a term time only place.
Max of 6 hrs per day can be claimed.

Excellent nursery. It's so nice seeing updates and photos each day of how my child is getting on. Excellent communication through the app.

The staff at Bright Stars Day Nursery are absolutely fantastic, they are so caring towards all the children and work hard to provide fun activities.
The development my girls have had since being there has been amazing. Their speech and language have improved so much.

Bright Stars Day Nursery is such a lovely Nursery, has great facilities, for learning and playing and great outdoor space. The Staff are all really friendly and professional. Bright Stars is a fantastic and friendly nursery. My daughter smiles upon morning drop-off and enjoys the daily sensory/activities the nursery puts on. The nursery has a fantastic app which logs your child's food intake, naps and nappies, which for a first-time mum, was reassuring. The app also allows
staff to upload your child's development along with photos. What more could you want! All staff are very helpful, friendly and contactable via the app as well.

I have no words to describe how happy I am with Bright Stars. My little girl started in September when she was almost 14 months old. She settled really well in less than a week. By the beginning of the next week, she started to smile while I was parking in front. The staff are amazing. Very friendly
and patient with the parents and the kids. Plenty of activities every day, varied and healthy menu, nice garden and room space with separate sleeping area. Live reports every day including all activities, food taken, sleeping times, etc. Huge thanks to all staff in baby room, who are doing some kind of magic with all babies. The most important thing is the smile and happiness of my little girl every morning and evening. No better proof than that. Highly recommend to everyone.

My daughter started at Bright Stars in September 2021 and it literally took her just one day to settle there. The nursery staff are utterly lovely and so personable with all the children. The communication from the nursery is generally excellent. My son also joined in September this year and because
of the positive experience with his big sister, he also runs in every day! I highly recommend!

My son has been attending Bright Stars Day Nursery for a couple of months now, and I have been so impressed with everything. The staff are wonderful with the children, and they do lots of brilliant activities. The outdoor play area is also great and allows the children plenty of opportunities to play
outside as well as indoors. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Friendly and helpful staff. My son loves going and has lots of fun stories to tell us about his days at nursery. Staff always give time at pick up to discuss his day with whoever collects. Our son talks about all his friends and is happy on the days he gets to go to nursery.

My child moved up into preschool just before he turned 3 and I was very unsure to begin with as I felt he was too young and hadn't had much settling in. After speaking with the staff they reassured me that he would be fine and he was. The staff in preschool were very lovely and welcoming which made
me feel at ease as well as my little one. In the morning he is very happy about going in and there is always a friendly welcome when greeted.

Our daughter has been at Bright Stars for 15 months now, since her first birthday. I can't recommend the nursery enough; the staff are caring and compassionate and always have a smile on their faces which I can imagine is no mean feat after a day with lots of toddlers! Our daughter is always really
excited to go in, and we receive regular updates about her progress. Staff are always happy to chat at the end of the day about any concerns or observations.
The site is on the small side, but they make the very best of the space and have regular excursions, so I dont think it's a negative at all. I never worry about my child's safety in their care. The size of the nursery is perfect, as it really feels like a little family - overall, we have been very happy, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to families in the local area.

Very lovely nursery with great staff.
Love being informed about what my child gets up to during the day.
Never had any problems, and my son loves all the workers and talks about them and what they have taught him.
Very accommodating with dietary requirements and allergies.

My little boy has been attending Bright Stars now for two years, and he couldn't be happier. He absolutely loves going and really loves the girls in his room. He will speak highly of the setting on many occasions and always speaks about the different activities he has done throughout the day. He enjoys

We have had our son at this nursery for just over a year now and are very pleased with his development in this time and we feel his time at the nursery is a big part of this. The staff at the nursery are all very passionate about their job and have created a welcoming and friendly environment for him
to be in. The nursery provides a wide range of activities for him to get involved with and he has enjoyed his time there so far. The small size of the nursery has meant that he knows all the staff and many of the children there and there is no feeling of him being overwhelmed. Overall we are very happy with our choice of nursery and would recommend others to sign their babies and children up here.

All the staff are very welcoming and friendly and try their best to understand the children as individuals.
Despite their location (at the end of an industrial/office estate) and size, the nursery makes the best of the local surroundings. The staff do this by walking to the nearby park and exploring
the few trees right next to the building.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 1 year old and has been there for just over 2 years. She has been through the Baby and Toddler rooms, and is now in the Pre-school room. She loves it there. They are given ample opportunity to play and learn in a diverse range of activities. The outside
space is compact but full of things to do and the children are given loads of time to play outside, which is great. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful and have a great rapport with the children.
