Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-School is easy to reach from Shepperton town centre and just a minute's walk from Shepperton Railway Station, which links directly into central London, making it a great option for commuting families across the local area.

The nursery is proud to be rated Good by Ofsted, with inspectors highlighting the strong relationships between children, staff and families that help children settle well and make strong progress.

A standout feature is the huge three-storey soft play area, well-maintained and loved by children. It's a fantastic space for building confidence, problem solving and developing motor and cognitive skills, all important parts of the early years curriculum.

Bright, airy rooms encourage play, exploration and emotional regulation, while a large enclosed garden with a mud kitchen and smaller sensory garden gives all children free-flow access to outdoor play. Regular trips into the local community, including visits to the park and shops where children choose their own fruit for snacks, build confidence and a real sense of the wider world.

The friendly team take time to discover what sparks wonder in each child, using that knowledge to plan early years learning that keeps children engaged, curious and having fun.

If you are looking for a fun and nurturing nursery in Shepperton with great transport links and a team that truly knows your child, Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-School is well worth a visit.

Since my son has attended playtime nursery he now speaks much more, now he is around kids his own age and he now has wonderful key workers and staff helping him learn. You get a very warm welcome feeling as soon as you enter playtime nursery. I would just like to say a big thank you for bringing my
son out of his shell. And I also would just like to say, I think it's very good that you get a newsletter every week and a profile sent via email of your child's progress and pictures of what they have done. The staff are awesome!! 100% recommended.

I love this place for my daughter, she is doing so well and she loves coming in! I already recommended this nursery to my sis-in-law who's son now attends the nursery too. I love how they meet my daughter's dietary needs and she's not left out without the dairy.

I would very much like to say a very big thank you to all the staff and the manager at Playtime Nursery - Shepperton for the warmth and standard of care my daughter and I have received since we joined 1 year ago. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the way the whole team works, from the way
we are greeted to the wonderful things they do with the children to help them develop to the lovely newsletters that keep us informed on what our daughter will be doing or what she's done, parents evening and keeping me updated on my daughter's development.
All of the team are professional, warm, friendly and understanding of my needs as well my daughters and it has made being a working mum so much easier. Knowing that my daughter is safe, cared for and really happy has been a weight off my mind. I cannot recommend this wonderful team enough - Thank you!

My Godchild attends Playtime Nursery - Shepperton. He thoroughly enjoys his days there. He can't wait to tell us what he has been up to. He has lots of friends and has made excellent progress this term. He now eats a variety of food which in the past has been an issue. Watching other children eat a
variety of different foods has over come what was a big problem.
Thank you!

My daughter started this nursery in September joining Boppers, then went up to Pre-School in January. I withdrew my daughter from the nursery in May following an incident of neglect as well as a number of other issues. The nursery then felt it was appropriate to send me a bunch of flowers, if only they
put that level of care into looking after their children. I would not recommend this nursery to anyone.
Reply from Michelle Jerray-Silver, Manager at Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-school“We are deeply saddened as a nursery to read this review on several different sites of our nursery. The majority of our previous reviews have always been both constructive and positive, allowing us to increase and maintain our high standard of care. It is deeply upsetting that one of our parents has felt that we have not been satisfactory in our level of care, and as a result has made the decision to withdraw her child from our nursery.
The incident being referred to was in regards to a miscommunication between two members of staff regarding toileting. This issue was addressed and dealt with accordingly, but the parent still felt unsatisfied with the outcome. In regards to the other issues, these were not brought to our attention until after this particular incident had occurred.
The flowers we sent were made as a goodwill gesture, as we were aware that this particular mummy was very upset, and our Director also made a telephone call to acknowledge her concerns.
We have taken this particular incident on board, and fully appreciate the parent’s concerns on this matter. We will really miss this family and child at our nursery, and she will be missed by both her peers and staff alike.”

My son attends Playtime and has done for the past 2years every morning he wakes up asking if it's nursery day and when I tell him it is he gets so exited and talks about seeing his teachers and carers.
When my son first started Playtime he got quite upset at drop off but his key worker was great with
giving him lots of cuddles and reassuring me that he would be alright after I left him they would talk about all the fun activities the would be doing during the day and the girls would always make sure they rang to let me know how he was within half a hour of dropping him to nursery. His carer would also send me photos though e-mail to show me that he was enjoying himself and having fun. Within a week of my son going to nursery for 5 mornings he settled in bed well and loves going now. I have recommended playtime to a few of my friends who children also go there now and are also very happy.

Both my children have had very positive experiences at Playtime nursery. The staff are friendly, helpful and supportive and they work hard to build excellent relationships with the children and families. The nursery is clean and inviting and the facilities and resources available are excellent. The
children experience a variety of learning activities, both inside and outside, to help them develop. Parents are kept informed of important information and events and children's progress is shared at regular parents evenings. I can highly recommend Playtime nursery.

I have been extremely impressed with all aspects within Playtime nursery.

Starting with the fabulous soft play area to the wonderful outside play area and how wonderful to have an onsite chief cooking a variety of dishes to tantalise small taste buds.

But by no means last what a wonderful team

they have at playtime. There's not been a day that my daughter hasn't looked forward eagerly in seeing her playtime buddies, thanks to you all.

My daughter has been at playtime for a few months and she loves coming, she is always happy when I leave her and will tell me who her friends are. Staff are friendly and welcoming the feedback I receive is very useful and knowledgeable. Management is very accommodating if I require any ad hoc sessions
last minute. The meals at Playtime always smell so nice and my daughter is constantly telling me how yummy the food at nursery is. Playtime has given my daughter the confidence and knowledge to help her when she goes to school in September. I can't thank Playtime and all the staff for there support whilst my daughter as been at Playtime we will miss them in September.

My son has been at Playtime since he was 18 months young. In every room he has been in, he has built a bond with all staff, some of them are very special ones. My son's confidence has grown the older he got, he was given the space, freedom and support to thrive.
Playtime is a caring and happy environment
for all children with its great outdoor space and unique soft play.
We will miss everyone at Playtime, when my son goes off to school in September as they have made my son and me feel welcomed.

Really pleased with Playtime. My little boy is always very happy when I pick him up and chats non-stop about his day at nursery and all the activities he has been doing. He is kept very busy!

Staff in his Boppers area are very friendly. They always welcome him with a big smile in the mornings and

give clear feedback about his day at pick-up. The transition to Preschool has been managed with care and attention and it is nice to see that he is given some one on one time to make sure this works out well. Very reassuring!

My daughter started at Playtime at the beginning of the year. The staff have been wonderful with helping her to settle in, and even phoned me to reassure me that my daughter was fine on the days when there were not-so-good morning drop offs. I really appreciated those phone calls as it meant that I
could stop worrying! The manager is extremely helpful and accommodating. And the rest of the staff are always very pleasant and happy to answer any questions that you may have. I would definitely recommend this nursery to everyone!

Brilliant nursery so supportive to my son's needs as well as mine as a single working parent. He is always happy to arrive, there is a warm friendly environment and wide range of foods rather than that of your standard nursery. Staff are flexible and always willing to help. I always feel completely
safe and happy leaving him there :)

I have almost 5 years of experience with Playtime Nursery and their wonderful staff - and I couldn't recommend them highly enough! When we first started looking for a suitable nursery for my son, Playtime stood out a mile from the rest. We were very impressed by the facilities, especially the soft
play area and the abundant space that was available. The staff were very friendly and I was happy to know there was an in-house chef preparing healthy meals. Looking at the other nursery options in and around Shepperton, there really was no comparison. Throughout the years I've watched Playtime Nursery grow from strength to strength. I have an excellent relationship with the staff - they are attentive and compassionate towards the children, and welcoming to the parents. Safety is priority and, as well as being a fun environment, there is also focus on the children's social and educational development, catering to each child's individual needs as they grow.
I love it & my kids love it.

Both my daughters have enjoyed Playtime. The staff are great and seem to be well managed with high morale and attention to detail. They are very natural with the children, and accommodate everything to ensure they feel safe and loved. I was sad when my eldest moved on to school but she had a great start
at Playtime. Highly recommended.

When viewing nurseries for my son, I was extremely worried about leaving him as he was with me all day everyday. Playtime nursery was the first one I viewed and I knew straight away that was the one. The staff are amazing and they do everything they can to help you when you need it. They have an amazing
soft play area and a wide range of toys and books. He has come on leaps and bounds since joining them and is doing amazingly well. Thank you to everyone there for all your work and help.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.212)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.212) out of 10 for Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.745 for Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (109 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 141 Ratings = 4.745
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.467 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Playtime Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.667
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
