Christopher Robin Day Nursery - London Road (Guildford)

Brilliant. I haven't regretted moving my daughter after another nursery fell very short of our expectations, despite the latter receiving a 'good' Ofsted. The manager is very professional, experienced and approachable - she has been in post for a long time. The staff in the Roos Room (18 mths+) are incredibly friendly, personable, loving and competent and there is very little staff turnover, with the same smiling faces week in, week out. My daughter has been challenging - very clingy with her key worker, crying at drop off and lots of wobbles, however, I feel she has been given the best chance to settle by this team. Facilities are excellent - warm, inviting, bright and colourful with high-quality provisions and activities. I was relieved that there is a no shoes policy throughout. The online updates with photographs are informative and my daughter seems to sleep and eat well here. My husband and I have always been struck by how contented, engaged and well behaved the other children seem to be.

A fantastic nursery - I took to it from my first look around. The staff are warm and friendly but also professional. The spaces are well cared for and the communication with parents has really impressed me. I love getting the daily reports and checking the online portal. My 15-month-old had trouble with being left at first (crying when we arrived) but the staff were always so kind and reassuring with him. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far the best nursery I have visited and would love my son to stay there for longer if it wasn’t for the distance from home. We were very sad to say goodbye and would highly recommend this nursery to any parents.

My daughter started at Christopher Robin 3 weeks ago. I am very pleased with how well she has settled at the Pigletts room. Thanks to the experiences, patience and care given by the staff. She has already developed a bond with the nursery and is clearly enjoying it. The staff supported her routine, eating and sleeping habit and have been doing fun activities with her almost every day while she is there. The positive experiences have certainly exceeded my expectation. If the children could have a bigger room to walk around, that would be my only suggestion.

My two children started at Christopher Robin London Road nursery when they were nine months old. The staff and manager have been fantastic and as a parent, I have always felt happy and reassured that they are being looked after well. The staff are caring and go above and beyond to make sure the children are happy. We have been so pleased with the key workers who have looked after our children over the last three years. They have been amazing and we are so sad to be leaving you!

I can not praise all the team at Christopher Robin enough. From the settling-in day, to the first days, we were all reassured. My child settled in really well and loved going to nursery. As parents, we loved seeing what activities she had been doing and how much fun he was having. He loved the baby room team and has been very well looked after.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Great nursery. Very pleased with the standard of care. My son is challenged daily and is constantly learning. He has great fun every day doing activities both inside and outside. They regularly play outside getting lots of fresh air. We are really pleased with this nursery and glad we picked here.

Superb nursery in a highly convenient location facing Stoke Park. The staff are attentive to the needs of each child they look after and they are all extremely caring. The facilities are excellent, but most importantly the children are happy and well cared for. Thank you to all the staff for looking after our children so very, very well.

I am happy with this nursery. The staff and management are friendly and my child is learning something new every day.

My daughter has been at Christopher Robin (London Road) since she was 11 months old. She totally loves it and we have never once worried about her care. The staff are nothing short of amazing. My daughter has learnt so much whilst there, especially now she is enjoying the Montessori education along with weekly French lessons. Although expensive to some, I don't think you can put a price on someone else other than you caring for your child and we only wanted the best. In my eyes, we found it!

The feedback you get each day is amazing, its really evident that they take time to get to know a child and care for them and their development.

When my daughter started at this nursery, I was so worried about how she'd fit in and cope. She had previously been to a different nursery and it was a constant battle to get her to detach from me in the morning, there were tears and tantrums galore. However, from the first day she visited Christopher Robin for her induction, she was ready for me to let her go. Every day now I struggle to get her to leave and come home. The staff are all fantastic and my daughter absolutely adores her key worker.

Every day she goes to the nursery, she comes home with new artwork that she's done and new words and knowledge that she has learnt from nursery. She seems to get on with all of the other children, and she's never said a bad word about the place (apart from the sauce that they sometimes put on lunch, but that's entirely up to my daughter being a fusspot at the moment).

I cannot recommend this nursery enough, and I'm hoping to send my daughter for more hours as soon as finances allow! Thank you!

Great nursery. Love the people and so much learning and fun for children. The staff are great. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is friendly.

Having our daughter at nursery since she was 5 months old and now she has left to begin school, we cannot thank the nursery enough for the contribution they have played in her early years. She enjoyed her nursery days and will miss her friends and staff that she has had such great attachments with. We as a family, will miss you all and always hold happy memories of her days at nursery.

Since our daughter has started school in September, she has entered this next chapter with confidence. Being very independent in many ways and with the feedback from her school teacher, she has adapted very well to school life and settled straight in. In addition to hearing that, when she has been present of other challenging behaviour within the new environment of others, that she is aware how to behave and knows how to handle these situations appropriately. The guidance and support you have all given her to allow her to reach her highest potential is something we will always be grateful for.

The Nursery Nurse has been excellent with my son. He still struggles with drop off, but they seem to have a lovely bond. The girls in the Piglet Room are always friendly and seem to know each child really well. I'm really happy with our choice of nursery.

Our two children (two and three) go here four times per week, and the Christopher Robin in Burpham the other day. They have loved this nursery from the get go. They get three balanced meals, have flexible hours for a Montessori nursery and have a good garden with lots of activities.

My wife and I love it because the staff are all lovely and genuinely love kids. The turnover is very low, so there's a lot of consistency of care. The manager is hands on, meaning she is in the rooms, observing and helping and getting to know all the children. Being Montessori, they help our children stay independent, learning through play. We teach them manners but they learnt to ask to start their food and ask to get down from the table from nursery first!

The children love the staff and the other children. They don't seem to have issues with biting, bullying, fighting or anything else you worry about as a parent. They find it very easy to form friendships here.

I have no concerns when she is there, the website access is great as I can check her development.
