Christopher Robin Day Nursery - London Road (Guildford)

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Christopher Robin Day Nursery. From the very beginning, the staff created a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for our daughter. She absolutely loved going each day and came home excited to share all the new things she had learned.

One of the things that really stood out to us was the nursery's strong emphasis on learning through play and exploring each child's individual interests. The team truly understands how to foster curiosity and creativity, and they encourage the children to develop at their own pace while still providing a rich, stimulating educational foundation.A special thank you to a particular lady who was my daughter's lead teacher, a true professional, very knowledgeable and nurturing.

We saw such a positive transformation in our daughter - not just in her academic development, but also in her confidence, independence, and social skills. The communication from the staff was excellent, and we always felt involved.

Fantastic nursery. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time here and we were sad to leave. The staff were all brilliant and made her time there very special. She was always busy and doing lots of creative things which she loved telling us about. We were always kept informed of her daily activities with lots of photos and videos. Her leaving book was so nice which had lots of photos and messages from staff from her whole time there. Really lovely nursery. Completely different experience to other nurseries her brother attended in the area where they always seemed to have staff issues and often called to say he couldn't go in as they didn't have the staff ! Christopher robin was a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend.

You've given him the best possible start to his education, nurturing his love for books, drawing, singing, and even picking up a few words in Spanish and French along the way! He will be sorry to leave when he starts school in September.

All the staff at Christopher Robin have made our children feel so happy and comfortable at nursery. They always enjoy their day doing a range of different activities both inside and outside in the garden. The staff are approachable if there's anything we want to talk about, and both of our children have loved there time here.

Christopher Robin has really done a wonderful job at making our daughter settle in to nursery life. The staff are amazing and our daughter absolutely loves her days there. We cannot recommend them enough.

Professional, friendly staff, an amazing atmosphere. My child goes to the nursery with a big pleasure every morning. Since he started going there, my boy talks so fluently using a wide range of words and expresses himself very clearly. I believe all positive changes and developments we observe within him is thank to the staff members.

Fantastic caring staff, who create a safe calm atmosphere where the children can explore and play. Good feedback with real two way conversations regarding progress. Great support when toilet training with lots of flexibility! Our daughter runs in in the morning and runs out smiling!

Our son has been in the nursery since he was 9 months and every step of the way, we have felt supported and nurtured. Our son loves going to the nursery and asks for his teachers and friends often announcing "We are here" when we enter the nursery.

We have had the most amazing experience with the manager and the girls at Christopher Robin! We feel really lucky to have chosen them to look after our daughter! She has become so confident and kind under their guidance! We can't wait for our son to start with them!

We love Christopher Robin Nursery in London Rd. Both our children enjoy going to nursery. It's wonderful to see the bond they have with the teachers and other children. The setup is very homely and encourages learning. The staff are fantastic and we can see they take a great interest in our children's development.

It's a great Montessori-style nursery with hard-working and dedicated teachers. I have sent both my kids here and have always been happy with their care, kids come home fulfilled and happy and the teachers always seem to go above and beyond. The only downside I would say is that probably like most nurseries after COVID, the infection control isn't as tight as it could be, i.e. if my kid is unwell then I always keep them home but given how many viruses they come home with, other parents aren't necessarily doing the same (and the kids aren't being sent home either). Appreciate colds are part of school life though.

Beautiful nursery in every way. Staff are very loving, activities planned always encourage independence, the food is fantastic (accommodating for vegan diet), and lovely facilities. My little one has come a long way since joining the baby room.

We loved this nursery from the day we visited for a tour and immediately knew this was the place for our 9-month-old daughter. She started in the baby's room where the staff were absolutely amazing... in addition to everyday care, they helped and supported her with every milestone. I really liked how they encourage the child’s independence with everything they can do for themselves, especially when it comes to eating. That and their very varied and healthy daily menu, really helped my child develop positive eating habits (food was a very important factor for me). The manager is great, and the staff in the other rooms are also caring and very supportive with other milestones like potty training and nap adjustments. Each day they do plenty of fun activities and messy play and go out in the garden twice. My second daughter (5 months) has started now in the baby's room - I know she is in safe hands, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to look after her.

When visiting nurseries for our son, we knew immediately that Christopher Robin London Road was the right place. It’s a lovely setting with a focus on learning and development but with lots of play and a homely feel. The manager and her team work very hard to ensure both the children and parents are well looked after in all aspects of the childcare. The staff are so friendly, caring and imaginative. The children get a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities and experiences every day, learning new things and building on acquired skills. The daily communication, photos and feedback are excellent and provide a fantastic record, in addition to formal reports and play sessions offered. Our son absolutely loves being at the nursery and has developed strong bonds with all the staff. His growing confidence and physical, personal and emotional development have been amazing to see. Christopher Robin feels like an extension of our home/family. We honestly couldn’t ask for more!

This is the third nursery our eldest daughter has attended, and by far the best. The teachers are amazingly caring and know each of the children so well. The teachers communicate regularly with parents and keep us updated daily on what the children have been up to. The children do a wide range of crafty activities and spend time in the garden daily - our eldest is always so excited to tell us about her day. Our second daughter has now also joined the baby, then the toddler class and settled so quickly, loving the small baby class and teachers. I couldn’t recommend the nursery so highly and we will be sad when our eldest leaves for school next year, although we know she will leave well prepared for school.

The staff is nurturing and pleasant. The other aspect that has worked very well for us is the communication. The staff has been very prompt and intuitive. Very pleased that we chose Christopher Robins.

Would definitely recommend CR London Rd to local families.

This is just the most wonderful of settings - the team at Christopher Robin London Road have created such a wonderful and nurturing environment for both of my children. My son is currently in Tiggers and has developed wonderfully during his time in each room. The team have embedded the Montessori approach so thoughtfully and are so hands-on and caring towards each of the children. They take time to get to know the children as individuals and focus on their strengths. The team are always happy to speak when you have any questions and nothing is ever too much trouble. The nursery manager is very approachable and hands-on, and she and the team are excellent role models. My daughter has just started in the baby room and the team have been so kind and caring in helping her to adjust.

The lead-up to school has been so great, she literally ran to school on her first day and hasn't looked back, thanks to the lovely talks she had with her teachers. Thank you to the team so much!

My child attended the nursery from when they were 10 months old - 3 years old and absolutely loved her time there. The progression she’s made with her learning has been so lovely to see and she formed some lovely bonds with staff and other children. We will really miss Christoper Robin and would recommend it to other parents.
