Co-op Childcare Tadworth is set in a beautiful location in The Children's Trust mansion grounds with easy access to nature trails, a wilderness walk and large lawn areas, This unique spot also lets their children interact with children with disabilities and additional needs regularly, teaching them understanding and acceptance at an early age.
They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children such as encouraging them to express their feelings to making a difference in the world. They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.
Their app for parents, Famly, keeps them updated on life at nursery with things like photos from their day, meals eaten, assessments and even toilet training progress! The nursery is silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
They are big on happy children and have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local area and take care of each other and the world.
There are 3 home rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: 3 months – 2 year olds (including a sleep room and creative studio), 2-3 year olds and 3-5 year olds.
There are two secure, enclosed, landscaped garden areas which are tastefully sectioned off to provide safe play areas even if all age groups are out at the same time and include covered areas to enable children to have access to the outdoors in all weather conditions.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Well done team Tadworth. We can't wait to have our little monster with you guys for a few more years!
Thank you so much for the lovely, kind feedback (& ego boost)
We have been so happy with Little Pioneers... The outside space is fantastic for little explorers and it feels like everyone knows and cares for our son (even carers in different rooms). Thanks to all the staff.

The nursery itself is very clean and the manager and the team ensure they are maximising each space to enhance the children's play and learning.
The food is very well thought out, especially as my son has an allergy. They are very careful and conscientious to ensure he is not singled out and usually has a "dairy free" take on what everyone else is having. Which makes me very happy to know he can join in communally.
The price is average for the area, a little on the higher side but you get what you pay for. It's situated on the amazing secure grounds of the Children's Trust with access to green spaces and their secured gardens for the children to play in.
I would thoroughly recommend for all ages.
Thank you so much for the lovely words, greatly appreciated by the whole team.
My daughter attends Tadworth nursery in the Preschool class. She is very happy there and has been for the past 3.5 years. She is a bright young lady who is eager to learn. Due to this she is school ready and preschool has helped her on her way. My daughter loves the extra roles preschool gives, and...
The staff are very caring and she has always been happy and content. She loves her room leader.
The building itself is a little tired and could benefit from a refresh. It is generally clean in the mornings.
The garden is a great size and has some fun and well planned out activities. The garden surface is pretty awful and the dust means any summer day results in my daughter coming home black.
Over the years, staff turnover has been a lot. Luckily my daughter loves all and is content. As a parent i find it difficult with the different staff and building relationships/trust. The app helpfully keeps us up to date with what has happened in the day
Thank you for your kind feedback, much appreciated. We are liaising with head office presently with regards to the decoration and staff are working on the garden and doing what we can to improve this area too.
We are really happy with the nursery. Our daughter loves going in every morning, has lots of enriching experiences and has great relationships with staff and the other children. Communication with the staff is great.

We absolutely love the Co-op Childcare Tadworth. My daughter has been attending 3-4 days a week since she was 6 months old (she is now almost 2) and it's so clear that she is happy and thriving there and that every single member of staff genuinely cares about making it a safe, fun and educational experience for the kids. They are genuinely kind and patient with both parents and kids! They use appropriate techniques to gently correct unwanted behaviour and reward good behaviour. They do a good job of keeping parents informed. The premises are clean and secure and appropriate safeguarding measures are enforced. They serve fresh, nutritious hot food and have a lovely protected garden and managed woodland for outdoor activities. Cost-wise it seems to be in line with other nurseries in the area. Not cheap but at least it includes food, nappies, etc. and you can claim tax free childcare/funded hours. We absolutely recommend this nursery.
Thank you so much for your amazing feedback. It is very appreciated.
Largely a lovely nursery with great staff. Our boys love attending. Recently feels like the staff levels are low and the staff levels are struggling - rooms being combined etc. The original staff are fantastic and very creative.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the nationwide shortage of Early Years workers is making it difficult to recruit, but we have a dedicated team working on this from all angles and hope the situation resolves soon.

All of the activities that are set up has meant that my shy little girl has come out of her shell, and is now confident to go and play independently. Could not praise the staff in the up to 2 years room enough, who have tailored programmes and activities to meet my daughters particular needs. An added bonus of lovely outside space and in beautiful grounds. Would highly recommend.

The staff have been truly outstanding in supporting the family - undertaking extra training for special needs identified. The children are always happy to attend and pleased to see the staff in the morning and are greeted lovingly. The meals are also wonderful - both children are open to a wide variety of meals at home because they eat such a varied and high-class selection of foods at nursery. This is so different from the nursey my other grandson attended where we were never convinced that he was really known to the staff.
Thank you, this is lovely to read! I will make sure all the staff see this.

Fantastic. Our son loves nursery and all those who looks after him. The activities are great, interactive and developmental. Everyone there truly cares for the children, I'm glad we chose this nursery.

My son has become more confident, is assessed regularly and encouraged to develop new skills and appears to be truly happy there. He goes in smiling and putting his arms out to the staff and comes home happy.
Thank you to all the staff.

Also, the team work fantastically together, it really has a family feel to the nursery!
Thank you Little Pioneers!
I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. My daughter has been going here since she was 10-months-old, she is now getting ready to go to school in September and is so ready due to the skills that she has learnt here. We are going to be so sad to say goodbye, particularly to her key worker who...
My son also attends this nursery and was a lockdown baby. I was worried about how this would affect his development, speech and social skills but he is absolutely thriving, largely down to the environment and staff here.
It is a really difficult thing to have to leave your children in someone else's care whilst you work but I trust the staff team completely, I know my children are happy, loved and learning every day. We are moving house soon and it will be a real wrench for my son having to leave nursery. Finding somewhere that I trust as much as here will be really very hard.

The nursery has a friendly and relaxed feel to it, in a beautiful setting. Our child has been having some difficulties in settling in but the staff have been going above and beyond to help find solutions that work for us which we are very pleased with. The amount of communication we receive has been particularly reassuring. On the app, we get notified of each nappy, sleep, mealtime and activities they may do. At handover, we get a comprehensive description about the rest of their day.

The staff at the nursery are very kind and professional, and my son loves all of them. They have a well structured day, and he has learnt so much. I feel the staff care about each child’s development and provide great feedback at one to ones and on the helpful app. My son was a lockdown baby, and even though he hadn’t met many people, he warmed immediately to the staff. I highly recommend this nursery.

I have a good relationship with the staff and we share information well between home/nursery. I think it’s important to share ideas freely on care/play/childhood milestones and the nursery staff here are so approachable no matter how small you think the issue is.

It's evident that the staff truly care about the children and the nursery is child-focused. Small touches are hugely appreciated like sending lunch home when he had to go home sick and getting him ready and with a snack ahead of a long car journey. The app to keep up with what's going on is so helpful and the communication is good with regular meetings to catch up with our key worker. The food sounds amazing and I love the amount of time the children spend outdoors now it's warmer. I am so pleased with everything now we are settled in.
