My daughter has been at Teddies for just over a year and adores her days there. Her teachers are uniformly kind, caring, affectionate, and fun while also actively supporting her development with stimulating activities and plenty of time spent outdoors. I feel entirely content dropping her at Teddies
each morning, knowing that she will bounce out with lots of stories to tell about her day, be it about woodland walks, visiting musicians, or new crafting experiences.

After a brief period of settling in, our son has really taken to the nursery and bounces in every day! He comes home happy and with evidence of good learning. The outdoorsy nature of the nursery is also great! It is clear the teachers take great care of the kids.
One area it would be good to see more
of is the report - out at the end of each day and the use of the app. Comparatively to our previous nursery, this is the only area where we don't feel there is as good visibility as there could be.

Spring Grove have been super stars when it comes to looking after my daughter. I love that they get outdoors every day and are always doing new activities. She comes home every day with stories of what she's been up to and has really grown and flourished at Spring Grove.

Not the best nursery. One of the keyworkers who is in Giraffes is very rude and not child friendly at all. Teddies class cannot ask for better but when moving up to the next class of nursery I'd definitely consider looking at other nurseries.

Moving my little boy to Spring Grove School Nursery this year has been such a good decision. He has truly thrived and has been supported in his development since he started. The staff are wonderful and keep us well informed of progress and any issues. We get lots of photos and stories through the app
and each term we have parent-key worker consultations. The setting is wonderful and the large walled garden, which is specifically for the nursery children, was very impressive. The children get lots of stimulation through fun learning and a little bit of structure through classes in French, music and PE. The forest school is a particular hit! I really cannot recommend Spring Grove enough.

Lovely, supportive staff and atmosphere. Our child has grown so much in confidence and ability since joining.
There is always a wide variety of things to do for the children, and they are encouraged to be independent, which has helped at home too.
Staff are always open to your views on how things
can be done for your child, are never judgemental and genuinely care about the child as a person.
When we had an issue with potty training, we could talk to the staff and work together towards a solution. Our child was well supported, and the staff took extra care and attention to help us.

Our son has only been at Spring Grove a month, and we, as parents, are extremely happy. He usually takes a while to settle with new people, but after two settling sessions, he was keen to go in and see his new friends and teachers. The staff are so welcoming and caring. The facilities and outdoor space
is great for all children's ages and support the beginning of their learning experience.

We have two children at Spring Grove Nursery and could not recommend it more highly.
The whole team are kind, professional and dedicated. They value and care for our children as individuals in a very nurturing environment.
Every day our children are excited to go in and always say lovely things
about their time at nursery.
Communication between school and home is excellent, and the team always do everything they can to help.
We feel that the Early Years curriculum is well embedded and facilitates great progress, with the team having much experience in preparing children for their next steps.
The lovely big garden is wonderful, allowing for lots of time spent playing outdoors. Thank you to everyone at Spring Grove for all you do.

Our son is in Teddies and genuinely bounces out of nursery every day. He loves it so much! We were drawn to the outdoor facilities, in particular, a huge garden place for an active boy to run around in. But also, the attentive care and brilliant staff have ensured our son settled in straight away. We
couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery and highly recommend it!

Our toddler has been attending Spring Grove since early September, and he has loved it since day one. We weren't sure how he'd adjust to the new setting, having not attended daycare/nursery previously, but the teachers are wonderful and really supported us and him in the transition. It's so reassuring
to know he loves going to school, and he talks about wanting to be there on his days off. The setting is great - a good selection of toys and activities and lots of space to explore and run around. I have no doubt that he'll learn a lot over the coming months!

Spring Grove is a nurturing, calm and caring environment. All the children seem happy and contented to be in school. The nursery is a place of enrichment, taking into consideration what children need to grow. My daughter has learnt a lot and has developed so quickly. At Spring Grove, they have lots
of additional things that you wouldn't usually find, including Frech lessons and Forest School.

My daughter has settled in very well and enjoyed every day she has been at Spring Grove School Nursery so far. There is a great emphasis on outdoor learning and play, which is great. It's also nice that they have lunch with the rest of the school.

This is without a doubt the finest nursery there is. The staff are considerate, caring and friendly at all times. The regular app updates via email are an amazing way to use technology to gain an insight into what the little ones are up to during their school days. Spring Grove School Nursery are always
regular and efficient with the descriptions and photographs pertaining to our child individually. It is very easy to see why there is a waiting list for this nursery and it is a fantastic grounding for those that continue into the main school too. Our daughter started in the nursery and is now in Prep 4 and our son has progressed from Teddies into Giraffes and will remain at Spring Grove School Nursery into the future. Even at the nursery level, children get to experience aspects of school life that are not available elsewhere. The noticeable daily development in language, interaction with others and eating such a wide variety of foods at lunchtime as well as the education that is so well taught make this the best choice nursery.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.529)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.529) out of 10 for Spring Grove School Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.329 for Spring Grove School Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (62 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (11 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.329
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.2 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Spring Grove School Nursery is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.6
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
