Purpose-built to their own specification and opened in 2005 between Maidstone and Bearsted this site hosts nursery services and a home for Breakfast, After School and Holiday clubs. Air-conditioned and equipped with under-floor heating and two fully fitted kitchens; parents describe Newnham Court as ‘welcoming.’ It is bright and lively with extensive gardens and outdoor play facilities. Newnham Court was graded as good by Ofsted (March 2022).

Excellent nursery, all staff are very personable and make every child feel at home. The facilities Pennie’s offer are amazing, nutritious home cooked food on site, adventure playground, regular parent updates on child’s progress.

We have nothing but positive things to say about this nursery. We moved our son (3 years old) here from another nursery where he wasn’t very happy. The staff have looked after him and been very mindful of the change for him. He can be shy/sensitive at times but they have made him feel welcome and included.
He tells me about the different activities he competes and he loves playing in the garden. We have now moved our daughter (1-year-old) here too and she loves it. Best decision we have made.

My child is about to transition to her next room after being cared for in the shooting stars baby room. I was hesitant to send my little one to nursery due to her being a lockdown back but I am so pleased that I did. Her key worker and all of the staff have been amazing. They are so caring, attentive
and just lovely people that I have had no hesitation in leaving her in their amazing care. She is naturally a shy child but she loves going there. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone considering sending their little one.

Pennies Day Nursery are amazing. My 3-year-old attends 3 days per week and loves it. The best nursery and preschool in the area. Both of my daughters love to go there. Teachers are amazing. I love the space indoors and outdoors. Kids do lots of different activities every day, I like the fact that they spend time outside every day, no matter the weather.

My girls have attended Pennies Day Nursery Newnham Court for the last 7 years since they were babies. I always know that they will be well looked after, well fed and most of all have lots of fun! The nursery is really friendly with great facilities and my girls love attending the PKC holiday clubs.

My daughter has been at Pennies Day Nursery at Newnham Court for about 18 months and couldn't be happier there. The staff are lovely and she's always kept busy with various fun activities. The kids are taken outside every day when possible and are given good, healthy food at meal and snack times. My
daughter always goes off to nursery with a smile and is excited to tell me about her day when I come to pick her up. The reception staff are also helpful and understanding and make the effort to learn the children's names, which is lovely to see. I'd highly recommend Pennies to anyone looking for great childcare that isn't limited to term time.

I cannot recommend Pennies Day Nursery - Newnham Court, Maidstone enough. Two members of staff have been nothing but amazing to my child, they’re easily contactable and happy to discuss any concerns you have. My daughter has the most fun at school and absolutely idolises everyone who works there. The
girls in the offices who answer the phone are also so bubbly and happy to help with anything! I have already signed my boy up for when he turns three.

Pennies has provided a great start to our son's nursery life, and we highly recommend to others.
Since joining six months ago, the nursery has supported every stage of our son settling in and he now really enjoys every moment! Our experience has spanned across two lockdowns, and we have witnessed
the nursery staff handle the situation brilliantly, with the appropriate measures and sensitivities put in place.
We are kept up to date in person and via the app with his daily activities, interactions and crucially developmental stages. Its clear lots of thought goes into their programme of activity and how they execute it, giving us confidence when he is there during the day.
We are looking forward to watching our son grow and move through Pennies before he starts school!

Hi, my name is Claire and I have worked at Pennies since 2004. I hold a diploma in child studies and CACHE NVQ level 3 and 4 in children’s care, learning and development. I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Pennies working my way up to a management position where I am able to help and support staff with their professional journey.


Over the years I have looked after children right from babies up to 11 years but I particularly enjoy the older children in our out-of-school club.
