Pennies Day Nursery - Newnham Court, Maidstone

Our daughter attended here from 2.5 years old, and honestly I will miss her going here so much. Nothing was ever too much ask, they were always playing with the children and knew what activity she had enjoyed each day. They always greeted her and took extra time to make her feel confident. There's an open door where you can pick up/drop off whenever you like and I loved that as you could always see the children were cared for and engaged with no matter what time of day - i never once saw a child left crying unattended - which was so important for me and not true of other settings. The nursery is expensive compared to others but i feel confident my child was always safe and cared for, and they massively helped me as a working mother with all the little things I needed (eg suncream, medicines, brushing teeth!) which made it worth it. I feel confident she is ready for school and I notice all how much she learned from the activities by how she speaks at home! I would recommend to anyone!

My child recently switched to this Nurserys after school club and we have been really pleased with how easy the transition has been for him. The staff have spent time getting to know him and he loves the activities that are offered after school and in the school holidays.

As our journey at Pennies comes to an end I would like to thank three staff members in particular in the term time room at Newnham Court.

You have given my son a brilliant start in his education. He has enjoyed every second, learnt so much and flourished under your care.

We have been very pleased our daughter has attended Pennies. She is now in the term time pre school room after starting when she was 2 years old. The term time pre school room staff are amazing. My daughter has been so happy with them and has really developed her confidence and grown in her character. Pennies is always clean and is a lovely environment. They have a lovely garden area with a mixture of different activities. I would definitely recommend Pennies to any parent!

Our daughter previously had a bad experience with her last nursery. We moved her to pennies a few years ago and she loves it and has really developed in all aspects. Her teachers are very caring and really give our child the care and attention she deserves. She feels safe and happy at the nursery and at the end of each day asks if she can go to nursery the following day which demonstrates how much she enjoys the nursery. Credit to all the staff they do a fantastic job.

My daughter attend nursery already around 10months. Her settling was so hard, she was breastfeed for 2years and it was so hard for her without me. But the staff was so helpful. That to two members of staff in particular for their patient and professional work. My child now is so happy when is day for nursery and can't wait to see her friends! She start to speaking english as well. Thank you!

My child has been attending since November and he has grown to love it so much! Starting off at nursery was hard on him and myself but I knew he was in excellent hands. The staff are amazing and have been working there for years they made us feel so assured. He loves going now, drop offs are still challenging but by the end of the day he is happy and playing! He comes home with having excellent meals and snack, wonderfully creative messy play, loads of outdoor time and crafts! Pennies was recommended to me by a colleague and I would recommend them as well! It's a wonderful caring compassionate place, and feels like one big family!

My son has been attending PKC/holiday club for nearly 3 years and the ladies that look after him are outstanding. His confidence has come on so much because of them, he eats different foods and really has come out of his shell. My son is well looked after whilst in their care and I can't thank them enough. I also cannot recommend PKC enough. Always go above and beyond for the children.

Overall, this nursery is a fantastic place for young children to learn, grow, and develop in a loving and stimulating setting. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Pennie's at Newnham Court highly enough. My almost 3 year has attended since he was 13 months old and absolutely loves it. Settling in was tough for us both but the staff were so warm and loving towards him and really put my mind at ease. He runs happily into his room in the morning and comes home from each session having learnt something new and singing the praises of the staff in his room. I have always found the staff to be warm, approachable and happy to answer any questions I have about my son and his development. I really like the continuity of staff and how those who have looked after him in previous rooms seem to remember and speak to him when we see them. He also raves about the food and eats everything "and more"! My second son is signed up to join in 2025 and I have every confidence that he will be just as happy there. Leaving your children to return to work is the hardest thing ever but Pennie's have made it slightly easier and I am forever thankful!

Absolutely fantastic nursery. We now have two children attending pennies and honestly I cannot fault them. The opening hours are brilliant for two working parents, specially a shift worker. Both my children love attending and they love their key workers like another member of our family. There's no way I could have comfortably gone back to work without the peace of mind that my children love attending nursery! The food is incredible (better than anything I could make at home) and the activities they set up provide both a challenge and fun. No faults with pennies at all. The management are approachable and always there for advice and I feel the genuinely care for all the children. Very happy with pennies

My daughter has been attending nursery since January 2024. She has developed wonderfully since then. She is more independent and capable . So far we are extremely happy with our child, teachers and learning at pennies.

My daughter started Pennies in September 2024. My daughter was apprehensive to start nursery and pennies went above and beyond to settle her in. They respond to her needs, they no all her likes and dislikes, they give her extra food if she's still hungry. They have brought her on leaps and bounds and I'm so pleased she's a pennies girl

Outside equipment should be cleaner.

My son is starting Pennies in the new year and I look forward to seeing him flourish at Pennies, I would recommend to anyone I know.

My daughter has attended Pennies Day Nurseries since February 2023 and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The staff are fantastic and she has made great connections with numerous staff members over the years. The nursery is inviting and vibrant. The meals provided are nutritious and healthy. Every day she comes home happy.
