Oaklands Day Nursery

Oakland's is a wonderful nursery, the staff are caring, well qualified and fully engaged with the children's development. The setting benefits from a large garden which is half natural, ideal for forest school learning, and half artificial so they can use their vehicles with ease. The use of Tapestry really adds to the communication, we love seeing the photos and hearing about his day first from his key person. Weekly emails from the office and central office area fab too. Any concerns are dealt with quickly and professionally.

We are so thrilled with Oaklands, our daughter is just so happy there and is learning so much. She comes out each day with something that amazes us! The staff are all very caring, we especially love her key worker and you can tell they love the children because they know them so well. We have enjoyed watching our daughter transition from the baby room upwards and see her development and learning along the way. We are just so thrilled with the nursery and can’t wait for our second child to start there soon because we know how fantastic it is!

We don't have enough good things to say about Oaklands! There is an amazing team of people who work there. Our child needed some extra support and help with speech and the team have been amazing at working with his speech therapist and putting together a learning plan for him.

Both my children have gone to Oaklands; my eldest just left to start school and youngest is still there. The staff are excellent and have fantastic relationships with the children and provide wonderful care. Amazing outside space and the children are out there every day. Both my children have been so happy there and I couldn't recommend it enough.

I would highly recommend Oaklands. The staff are friendly and caring and the overall standard of care is excellent. Our daughter goes in with a smile every morning and is constantly developing with the support and encouragement of the Oaklands team. Our son has also recently left for school and his experience at Oaklands was extremely positive. He was sad to leave. There is also a great outdoor space which is used to its full potential.

The staff are incredible; they really care about our children and make sure they are safe and happy, whilst teaching them so many things we couldn't do at home. They are an amazing team who I trust with both our children.

I cannot recommend Oaklands highly enough. They took so much care to make sure my son settled really quickly and now he can't get through the door quick enough every morning! They do so much with the babies, and I love looking at the photos at the end of every day. He loves his key worker and is so happy and well cared for. He is always in a good mood when we pick him up, and I love seeing all the other children coming out smiling and happy too!

The rooms have small numbers so children are super engaged from babies through to preschool!

My daughter recently joined Oakland’s and she settled in straight away. She looks forward to going and comes home very excited to tell me what she has been doing each day. The carers always plan a fun-filled day, making good use of the garden and facilities. They give each child great care and attention and provide daily updates via tapestry, so you know how your child has been getting on. Overall we’re very happy to have chosen Oakland’s.

Really happy with Oaklands and the team. Our child's move up from Robins to Badgers went well and she is really happy at Oaklands.

We have both our children at Oaklands, our eldest attended before ICP acquired the nursery. We are delighted by the quality of care, and high standards the nursery adheres to. Our children are happy and well adjusted, and we are always informed of their activities through tapestry and 1-2-1's with their key workers. I would highly recommend it.

Our children are so happy at Oaklands. They love going in, do stimulating and engaging activities, adore the staff and enthusiastically tell me all about their day. A nursery/pre-school day is always a good day for them! We will always recommend Oaklands to any prospective parents.

A warm, bubbly room leader came specially to meet us when we dropped by before phasing our two-year-old back into the nursery after the first lockdown. We had felt nervous after so much time with our daughter at home and were instantly reassured - we felt she was going to a place that demonstrated kindness and energy. A few months older on her return, our daughter was moved to a downstairs room, which is spacious, airy and well organised. She settled quickly and goes to Oaklands with a smile and a spring in her step - she is stimulated by the crafts and outdoor activities, by the company of others, and often mentions the names of her teachers. She clearly feels safe and happy in what comes across as a happy team. We get a report on the app with the day's activities and meals and at intervals excellent observations with photos specific to our daughter's experience and learning, which make us feel she is in good hands and that we are part of the Oaklands family.

We are absolutely delighted with Oaklands and the service they provide. Our child absolutely loves going and is always excited when we arrive, even before he turned 1. He is always happy there, particularly when he sees one member of staff in particular!

Oaklands has been a great nursery for both of my children and they have both thrived there. Kind, attentive carers, a warm and friendly family atmosphere and a fantastic, large garden combine to make this a wonderful environment. Highly recommended.

My son has settled in really well at Oaklands, and he always comes home energetic and happy. He adores his key worker and she always reports back what he's been up to, how he's been and if she has any concerns. The online learning journal which the nursery use to keep parents updated is amazing, and a great way to see what the children have been up to during the day. The facilities are also fantastic. My son loves being outdoors so the fact Oaklands has such a big outdoor space was definitely a deal-breaker! The food is also really varied and always sounds really good. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone!

I would like to say that I am extremely happy with Oaklands Nursery. Staff is very welcoming, kind and professional. Our son returned to the nursery after three months break and he settled very quickly. He absolutely loves his key worker who made him a little video before his first return day. He was watching it over and over. Always after a day in the nursery, he comes home very happy and independent. I am looking forward to seeing him grow and learn in such a great environment.

Oaklands is great and we never worry about our little man when he's there!

I couldn't fault Oaklands in any way. My son has had a wonderful experience at Oaklands and enjoyed his time with the other children and the staff. He always came home, happy and exhausted from all the fun! His key person was very kind, approachable and caring. I appreciated that she encouraged my son with his learning, even though he was only 18-months. She continually encouraged his speech and counting and helped him develop. My son loved the staff at Oaklands and felt safe with them. I had been nervous about leaving my son when I had to return to work after maternity leave, but Oaklands made me feel so comfortable and relaxed because I trusted that they took care of my son to the best of their ability and had his best interest at heart. I really liked the fact they have a big garden and value outdoor exercise. I would recommend Oaklands to anyone living or working in Tonbridge looking for a safe and happy nursery.

Our little boy has recently started at Oaklands. Given the Covid-19 backdrop, this could have been a worrying and stressful time for us. In fact, it has been the opposite. The family at Oaklands have made his first few weeks a joy for him and very easy on us. The updates we receive show the dedication of the staff to enriching the experience of the children in their care - activities are full and varied and we pick up a happy and shattered little chap at the end of the day. Their focus on getting children outdoors and exploring is the reason we chose Oaklands and so far, come rain or shine, they have made sure he experiences play in the fresh air. Our son is the most precious little treasure to us and we would not send him here unless we had complete confidence and trust in the nursery and its staff - which we do. His key worker is an extension of our family and our only wish is that COVID could vanish so we could properly meet and thank the other staff that he interacts with.
