Oaklands Day Nursery

My daughter has been going to Oaklands for just over 9 months now, i have always absolutely loved the homely and realxed atmosphere- its one of the things that made this nursery stand out from the others we viewed. The staff are always so caring and attentive to the children. As everyone probably is, i was nervous leaving my child so i could return to work after mat leave but they made the trandision so smooth and i really appreciate all their support and hardwork!

Both my children have been very happy at Oaklands - they have both gone full time from around 1. They are currently in the baby room and preschool and the nursery is brilliant at both ends of the age group spectrum. The staff are fantastic and really care for the children. The garden is a big attribute, it's a really good size and the children have lots of access to it. I would thoroughly recommend this nursery, it ticks all the boxes.

Our daughter started at Oaklands in January 2025. She was attending a childminder full-time before this and so we were worried what the transition would be like for her doing a couple of days at nursery. All I can say is that the staff and especially our daughter's keyworker completely exceeded our expectations. The love, tenderness and support they show our daughter but also us as parents has been wonderful! Our daughter absolutely loves it at Oaklands and runs through the door without looking back to say goodbye at drop-off...what every parent wishes for, a home away from home for their little one. The staff are incredibly friendly, quick to support and are extremely caring and attentive to the children, making them feel valued. The garden is a favourite for my daughter as she loves being outside exploring and playing in the large space. The food is also a highlight for us, healthy and wholesome meals. Really couldn't recommend Oaklands enough to parents!

Our daughter found settling in quite challenging and the staff and management couldn't have been more caring to her and reassuring to us. Her key workers really did go above and beyond and we are extremely grateful for this. You can really tell the staff care about the children's happiness and development and we definitely recommend the nursery to other parents.

We are always up to date with everything happening with him during the day, which we find quite helpful!

We're so happy we chose Oaklands to send our son. The facilities are great and he loves going in the garden rain or shine. But the main thing is that the staff are just fantastic, it's obvious they adore our son and he loves them too, so it really does feel like you're leaving them with family. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their little ones.

The staff at Oaklands are wonderful, I have 2 children who both attend in different classes. Both children are really happy to go in and when picking up they look like they have had the best day. The admin staff take on board any comments and act quickly to any suggestions or issues. They are constantly making improvements, and have recently done the garden. I recommend Oaklands to all my friends.

Honestly couldn't wish for a more welcoming supportive and just brilliant nursery.

An amazing nursery! We made our choice to join Oaklands when our very tiny little one was 12 weeks old and we couldn't have a better decision. The small classes are perfect for the staff to fully get to know the children. Two teachers in particular were amazing in helping our little one adapt to nursery life and helping her to walk, eat, and talk! Another lady is amazing now with her and they all just seem to get her personality! Cuddles are welcomed, hundreds of goes down the slide are encouraged and even the fussy eating is being tackled as well. The best nursery around! Well worth the money.

Oaklands is a fantastic nursery. The staff are very attentive and considerate. Lots of stimulating play/learning activities and great outdoor space. Our daughter has been thriving there and especially enjoys playing outdoors.

Our son has been attending Oaklands for the past year, starting when he was 15 months old. He settled really well and has formed a great friendships with his key person and other staff members, which is really reassuring as a parent. He has received exceptional care and support for his development. The activities are excellent, including core stories and songs, as well as imaginative/messy play. They also spend lots of time outside in the lovely garden. He often comes home chatting about all the fun things he's got up to. We get regular updates and photos via an app and lots of info at handover. We are very pleased we chose Oaklands!

Our daughter started with Oaklands in Autumn 2023 when she was nearly 12 months. The staff have been fantastic and she has settled really well. She has two lovely key workers who she's very happy with, and who are consistently there, and are caring and engaged with how she's doing. I get the impression they mutually really like each other, which is really important and reassuring for a parent when leaving your child at daycare. The management are very good too - they are knowledgeable, supportive and helpful. The activities are excellent - they do arts and crafts (often tied to festivities/seasons/themes), core stories, songs, messy play and spend plenty of time in the wonderful garden. The quality of the food seems to be very good, with a varied range of healthy, freshly prepared, fruit-and-veg-rich lunches and teas. Our daughter loves her days at nursery, thank you team Oaklands!

Oaklands is a wonderful nursery. The staff are fantastic, really caring and considerate. Lots of great outdoor space and variety in what they do and learn. Our son is loving his time here and really thriving in the environment.

My 16-month-old daughter has been at Oaklands for 5 months now and is so settled - she's genuinely happy to see all the staff in the morning and the bonds she has developed with them are lovely to see. They really do care about the children. The activities are excellent, the meal variety is good, and the garden is fantastic - they are out there most days in the warmer months (when it's not raining!). We are very happy that we chose Oaklands.

Phonics for preschoolers on a Friday which is amazing for the transition to school.

Our daughter has been in Oaklands since she turned one and is now in preschool. I am very happy with her overall care. She does fun activities daily and seems very happy there. The food is all cooked fresh (though not always to the kids' taste - it encourages them to try new things), and it's a balanced menu. Would recommend it to a friend.

My 3-year-old son has been attending Oaklands for 2.5 years and has loved it from day one. All the staff are fantastic, really care about the children and create a great environment to learn and play. The flexibility of drop-off/pickup is a real plus, as is the garden which the kids are encouraged to be out in as often as possible! My 1-year-old daughter recently started and has settled in really well, I am always impressed with the range of activities they get up to, even for the little ones.

We’ve been so impressed with the staff and level of care at Oaklands. They’ve helped both our son and ourselves with the settling-in process and our 12-month-old now loves it there! He’s learned so much in the three months he’s been there. We chose it for its family feel and huge garden, and would fully recommend to anyone else looking for childcare in Tonbridge.

Our son has been attending Oaklands for around 8 months and we have been really happy with how well he is being looked after. He struggled at first to settle and the staff worked hard to come up with a solution to make it better for him. Since he's moved into a different room, he's come on leaps and bounds and has formed a wonderful bond with his key worker. She is always genuinely delighted to see him and he talks about her at home all the time. The garden space is great and we love getting updates about what he's been doing in the day and how much time they spend outdoors.
