Our child has benefited hugely from being in the Busy Bees environment, however, there are areas for improvement and I particularly refer to the collection of our daughter. There are not sufficient staff to update us on how our daughter's day has been, a number of occasions our daughter has needed to be changed and been in a soiled nappy.
That said, the care provided is very good, our daughter enjoys her time. I just feel further resources are needed in the window 5.30-6pm.
Nursery welcome feedback but it isn't always acted on or fed back to the parents. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the children interact with them well. The new uniforms don't seem very practical and the staff don't seem to have been consulted on the changes.
Our son really enjoys Busy Bees. We are always informed about his day and he is always excited to talk about what he has done. He has made lots of friends and loves the staff and food! I think he is really well cared for.
The staff have always been very welcoming, especially as it took my son a long while to settle but now he is really happy here.
He's also a lot more adventurous with food, thanks to the diverse food he gets here.
Great caring staff, very attentive to child's needs. Always keeping them busy and entertained. Great food, fresh on site.
My child loves coming to Busy Bees. The staff are brilliant with him and the nursery caters to his needs well.
My daughter thrives at this nursery. Her confidence continues to build as well as her independence. She has strong relationships with other children and staff. She has the biggest smile on her face at every pickup.
The only thing I'm unsighted of is how support is tailored to the specific needs of the child. I suspect this is happening but it is not communicated to us (at least not often). Small criticism as overall happy and our son loves attending.
Both children have been coming to Busy Bees from 18 months old and absolutely love it. I have never had tears or problems dropping them off. They love all the staff.
My son has settled really well into Busy Bees, Maidstone Hospital and he's made lovely relationships with staff members.
A lovely preschool space. Many activities support transition to school.
My son really enjoys his time at nursery. His development has come on leaps and bounds and is definitely attributed to his days learning and playing at Busy Bees. The staff are friendly and happy to speak about anything, at any time. I highly recommend this nursery.
Busy Bees at Maidstone Hospital has been fantastic for our daughter who has many additional needs. After a bad experience with a previous nursery, we moved our daughter here and they have been fantastic in the level of support, care and flexibility in terms of looking after our daughter. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to any other parents as it's a fantastic place, the staff are brilliant with the children.
Outside space is great, especially in the summer as the children tend to spend all of their time outside.
I would be more than happy to recommend this nursery to fellow Mums and Dad’s. The nursery staff are always friendly and very accommodating. My children always seem happy here. It is not the cheapest choice out there but it is run like a business and when at short notice you require an extra session they will always help and this is a real positive for me.
The facilities are good and the nursery staff seem to take the time to get to know my children.
Overall the nursery is amazing. All aspects of my children's care and education is dealt for by the staff. Very happy with everything and my children love attending and always enjoy every day they attend.
My son has been attending for nearly 6 months and loves it there. He settled within a few days and the staff were very accommodating with his sleep habits.
Love this nursery. It has been purpose-built to be a nursery so the rooms flow well and are decorated in a lovely stimulating way. The staff are all lovely and all know my son's name. The food is really good as there is an on-site cook. The outside parts are lovely too. Lots of fun activities which I like seeing photos of on the app.
Office staff are helpful and make payment using childcare vouchers easy.

Meet the Team (1)
Hello, I am Emma and am the Centre Director for Maidstone Hospital.
I have been working at Busy Bees since May 2013 and have supported a number of settings. I was the Centre Director at Brompton until August 2021 when we achieved an 'Outstanding' Judgement with Ofsted in January 2019.
I have moved across to Maidstone Hospital to embark on a new venture which I am very excited about.
I have a level 4 in childcare and management and have been in a managerial role across other settings since March 2004. I am dedicated, hardworking and very passionate about what I do and love sharing that vision in the setting with the team to ensure the little people we care about and nurture every day are getting the absolute best they deserve.
I have a beautiful daughter who is growing up too fast but makes me proud every day how she copes with her type 1 Diabetes since being diagnosed at the age of 5. It just goes to show the strength and determination these little people have, developing into their own characters which I am proud to be a part of.
