We trust the staff to keep them safe, which enables them to explore and develop. They eat well and are given a good variety of activities. We have seen our twin girls develop in many ways since they started earlier this year. They thrive in the supportive nursery environment set up to cater to their needs.
The nursery setting has also given the girls an opportunity to mix with other children of their own age, which is important to us, particularly during the lockdown.
We have been parents at Busy Bees St Albans City Hospital for nearly 7 and a half years now. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. They are outstanding. Both my children have been incredibly happy here and I will be so sad to leave next July as my youngest moves on to primary school. The nursery staff are exceptional-caring, kind, knowledgable and keen-from the baby room to pre-school, the staff who have worked with my children have been, without fail, amazing. They are led superbly by management, and the food by the chef is raved about by both my children. This nursery has that special something we all look for a good feeling that you can’t quite put your finger on.
This is an excellent nursey – I could not have wished for a better environment. Being a first-time parent is a very daunting experience, but the excellent level of support, care and professionalism shown by the wonderful team at St Albans Hospital Busy Bees nursery help make it a joy. Great staff, food, classes, activities, outside space, structured learning - with excellent parents evening feedback and an app to track progress, parent-friendly opening hours! easy drop off, parent support at all stages of development: from when my child joined at 5months to now 3.5years. The core team at the nursery is very friendly, strong, stable and experienced and that really helps to create an excellent nursery. Do not bother looking for another nursery - truly you will not regret choosing this nursery. (Extremely happy with the COVID measures put in place to safeguard the staff, parents and children - just another example of how well the nursery is run).
My daughter has attended since she was 10 months old and has always been happy there. I looked around 4 nurseries and I knew this was the one for us. The staff genuinely care about her and know her well. They give her the chance to be independent, to learn, have fun and make friends. When I told her one evening she had nursery tomorrow, she asked if she could go now and stay the night!
We have been a part of the Busy Bees (at SACH) family for almost 6 years. We could not have asked for a better environment for our girls to be in while we are at work. I feel the staff really know and understand our children, as well as us as a family. It is a fun, kind, supportive and nurturing environment. The children have loved their time at the nursery and have formed close bonds with lots of the staff, as well as the nursery manager. I feel the team really care for each other too which makes for a very positive and happy workplace, which in turn benefits the children. I trust the team implicitly and would not hesitate to recommend it.
I had no hesitation in choosing this nursery after our first child came here for 4-years. We have always been so pleased with the care. Staff are kind and welcoming and always go the extra mile. They enjoy their work, and I am happy that my child is well looked after each day and the activities on offer are varied. The management is exceptional. I was recommended this nursery by a close friend and have since recommended it to many others who have children here and are very happy.
Initially, my child went to a different nursery, but I was not happy with her being there, so moved her to Busy Bees at St Albans Hospital. I have been very impressed by the nursery and the staff. They have excellent safety and security, they set clear learning objectives, and the staff are all experienced and knowledgeable; whilst still being very caring.
My son has been attending this nursery since he was one. I chose this nursery because it seemed clean, professional and staff seemed friendly. My son settled very quickly and really enjoys his time there. He is always saying his keyworkers name at home. Lots of activities for him and nice outdoor space. Caring staff who seem to know him very well.
My daughter is now 4-years-old and has been at the nursery since she was 6-months-old. She has been very happy, and I am so pleased with how she has progressed and grown throughout the years. The Busy Bees team are amazing; they are compassionate, caring and supportive.
I am sad to say Goodbye to Busy Bees now that my daughter will be in school this year, but am happy to know that they have prepared her to go and be happy and confident in herself!
Choose Busy Bees...Amazing!
My daughter has attended the nursery since she was nine months old. During this anxious time, the staff went out of their way to make this easier. My daughter loves attending the nursery and the staff are very friendly and attentive to all of the children. The nursery has helped her with her development and confidence. The app used is updated with information and pictures to update parents of daily progress, which is great. Would definitely recommend the nursery as I’m very happy with my choice.
My son attends Busy Bees at St Albans City Hospital since May 2015. I am very very happy with this nursery as I know he is very happy here. The staff are helpful always, they provide many tasks and exercises to children, they are never bored there. The Parentzone is fantastic, they report everything about what my little boy is doing in the nursery. The staff are preparing very precise child assessments. The management team and all the staff are fabulous and they do their job very well. Thank you for all your help.
Busy Bees City Hospital is a fantastic nursery for your children. We continue to recommend this nursery to anyone as the staff and facilities are excellent. They give great care and attention to all children. We are delighted that our children go to this nursery and they always come home with a smile on their face.
Busy Bees at St. Albans Hospital has been exactly this. The attention to detail paid for each child has far surpassed our expectations. The food is wonderful (the on-site chef is already preparing delicious meals first thing in the morning at drop-off), and the staff are truly focused on trying to ensure your child is well-cared for.
We've built personal relationships with our daughter's caretakers, we get daily updates via the app, can call anytime to check-in, and the nursery is very well-maintained and cleaned. Some folks would rather choose a closer location to the train station, but for us, the tradeoff was well worth it after looking at all the options.
I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The genuine care that the staff have for the children is incredible. All the staff make the effort to get to know all the children regardless which room they're in and I feel like my son is part of a community. Most of the staff have worked there for many years and in the 1.5 years my son has been there the staff in each room he's been in have remained constant. The staff also care for the parents and show kindness and flexibility. Making contact with a member of management or the room my child is in is always instant, and if I ever have a concern or query it is dealt with promptly and professionally. My son is flourishing there.
Logistically the plus points that work for us, is the hours that we can drop off and pick up (very flexible) and there is always a place to park your car to drop off without getting stuck in commuter traffic as it’s not on a main road.
I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment in recommending this nursery.
Since my daughter, who is 19 months old joined the nursery, I have noticed a beautiful change in her. She is a lot more confident and independent. I have noted that the nursery environment is helping bring her character out whilst learning through play. At home she has an older sister and she is already wanting to write when her sister is doing a homework and is showing an interest in looking through books.
The staff are really friendly, caring and continually make improvements to the nursery, such as implementing an online Parents zone and introducing the children to drama, sports, French. My daughter is really happy at the nursery and has really thrived and the fact that she has just been accepted into a prominent private school is a testament of all the hard work that the nursery staff have put in over the last few years.
I’m kept up to date with his nappy changes, food and sleep through ParentZone as well as photos of him completing activities.
My son has attended the nursery for the last 8 months and he loves it. He is thriving there and I feel relaxed and happy about leaving him with the amazing staff there.
The food menu is varied and healthy and they are very accommodating to my varied shift pattern.
