Our little one joined Busy Bees in September, and as first-time parents, we were naturally worried about how they would settle. We needn't have worried! From day one, they have been nurtured, supported, and cared for by the wonderful team at the nursery.
Each morning at drop-off, our little one wriggles with excitement as a team member comes to greet us. Throughout the day, we feel reassured knowing they are well cared for and that their development is supported through a range of engaging activities.

They love taking part in everything on offer, and it's such a joy to see photos of them playing and learning on the app. As parents, we truly feel that the nursery is a home away from home, and we are so happy we chose it.

Busy Bees at St Albans Hospital has been an outstanding nursery in all respects from the first day that my daughter went in.

The staff are amazing and really do go above and beyond. In the three and a half years that my daughter has attended, the Busy Bees team have helped her grow incredibly as a person. She absolutely loves her time at nursery which is great for all concerned!

Honestly! I'm so happy my daughter goes here! She is picking up so much and all the staff are so friendly. It's very good! She is so attached to me and her grandma, but honestly, she loves going in to see her "friends " and easily says bye to us! Which is brilliant as you don't feel the mum guilt at all!

Thank you so much to everyone at Busy Bees St Albans Hospital! You're doing a brilliant job and keep it up!

This is our second child at Busy Bees, St Albans Hospital and there is a reason why. The team at this nursery is outstanding and always goes the extra mile. I could not praise them highly enough. Both our children love going there and the eldest is even asking if she could go back.

The staff at the nursery are amazing, and they go out of their way to do everything they can for the children in their care. My daughter has special needs, and they have been accommodating and have gone above and beyond for her. They have adapted to her needs and made sure she was included. They are flexible, kind and very patient, and this is mirrored in the behaviour of the children there. I cannot recommend the nursery enough!

My child has recently started at Busy Bees Day Nursery and is really enjoying it. The staff are all really lovely people, and she seems to really like her key person, which has made the process of starting the nursery much easier for us. They were really good with settling in and have also been great with her allergies, and the update systems are really useful. I’m really happy we chose this one.

Absolutely brilliant team at Busy Bees in St Albans Hospital led by the senior manager.
I was an anxious 1st time parent and for the past 4 years, my son has been so well looked after by the staff. They are all so incredibly kind, patient, professional and a true credit to Busy Bees.

I will definitely recommend this nursery. My son and I will miss the team. Thank you all for your ongoing commitment and excellent care.

First impressions are that this is a welcoming, friendly nursery with excellent facilities. Most importantly, the staff I’ve met seem to have a genuine love of children and really seem to care about the little ones, making sure all are given attention and cuddles where required! Particularly those just starting. Children seem well occupied with different activities and lovely to see how much time was spent outside.

We've had our daughter attend Busy Bees St Albans City Hospital since August 2021 and it has been a truly wonderful experience. Like many mums, I was nervous at first about sending my daughter to nursery when I finished my maternity leave, but I am so grateful for the team at Busy Bees St Albans City Hospital. They put us at ease immediately and my kid loves going there. The team is highly-qualified and it is evident that they truly love what they do. It's so heartening that I can drop her off in the morning, knowing she'll be safe, stimulated with age-appropriate activities and above all, cared for. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Recently everyone came in on a Sunday in preparation for reopening the facility to parents. They did so enthusiastically and were invested in forming relationships with us as parents. I can't thank these fantastic people enough for what they've done for our family.

My child has been attending since June 2019. When we picked the nursery, it was mainly on price (they offer an NHS discount) and hours (open earlier and longer than some other nurseries in the area), as well as being close to home. Now, I can safely say, it was the best decision we’ve made. The staff are brilliant (always available to talk, even when dealing with a room full of children!) and my child has really thrived. They’ve put up with many of my nuances! Like parents who shouldn’t have a favourite child, we don’t/shouldn’t have a favourite staff member, but one staff member really has been amazing from the very beginning. She was the one who ran through where my child’s development was at when she started nursery and was incredible at keeping us posted on the mayhem that she got up to in Baby 2. A great asset to the team (but like I said, I have no favourites)! Keep up the great work and thank you!

I can’t praise this nursery enough. When we moved to the area, we had to move our two-year-old into a new setting and start our one year old off on their nursery journey, all in the peak of a lockdown. When I met the team at St Alban's Hospital Busy Bees, I knew my girls would be absolutely fine. All the staff are warm, caring and clearly experienced at getting children to feel at ease and welcome. Staff always greet us in the morning with smiles, keep us updated throughout the day and my children are always happy when we pick them up, having been kept busy with imaginative play. They’ve got it right here and I can’t recommend this nursery enough.

I’ve had my daughter through nursery to preschool and now my son is in nursery at Busy Bees. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! The staff truly care for the well-being, safety and education of children. They have gone above and beyond during the pandemic to ensure both kids and parents continue to access outstanding childcare. My children have thrived in so many ways and made lifelong friends, which is a testament to the work Busy Bees staff have done for us. Thank you for your amazing care and for giving my children such a great start in their early years.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough. My first child loved it there and now my second child is halfway through her years with them and loves it just as much. I will be sad when the time comes that I do not have a child with them anymore. The staff are like friends now after so many years. Most of the staff have been there a very long time. The on-site chef is fantastic and my girls have always eaten very well there. It is clean, with good facilities. Most importantly, especially if your child is starting young, they really do look after your child with the utmost care. They are loving and kind and teach good values and manners. They are creative with their games and learning activities and each day is filled with fun with friends. It is a home away from home. I looked around a lot of well known and popular nurseries in the area but I just knew this was the right place for us.

To say my husband and I are happy we chose Busy Bees, St Albans City Hospital for our daughter, would be an understatement. To date, we are over the moon with how we have found the whole nursery experience. She started a few months ago, aged 15 months and settled very well. She's excited to go to nursery, talks about the staff all the time at home and chats excitedly non stop when she gets home from nursery. We've found the communication with the nursery excellent since we joined and I feel it's very obvious that they enjoy what they do and seem genuinely excited to see all the children. It's a very caring and nurturing environment and we couldn't recommend it more. We've noticed a big development in her speech, vocabulary and confidence, that we are sure nursery plays a part in. I was only saying to family members earlier today that it is so amazing to drop your child at nursery and see the affection the staff have for her and how comfortable she is to go with them. Highly recommended.

Words can’t express how much we love Busy Bees at St Alban's City Hospital and our daughter loves it even more than we do!! She started at 10 months old, having never left us due to lockdown, and the staff transformed her from an anxious baby who missed her mummy and daddy, to the happiest, most outgoing little star, who can’t wait to get to nursery in the mornings. She’s since moved up to the second class. The transition was seamless and she’s equally happy there spending time with the team members and everyone else. She never stops talking about nursery and comes home beaming, telling us all about the lovely activities they do together and how much fun she’s had with all of her friends. We are so, grateful to everyone who works at Busy Bees. They are a huge part of my daughter's life. She adores them all, and they’re helping to shape her into a happy, friendly, confident girl, who is always delighted to hear it’s a nursery day! We really can’t thank them enough for all they do for her.

I can't praise this nursery highly enough, it really is a home away from home for my son who has been attending for 2 years now. All the staff are very friendly and must have worked at the nursery for a long time which is a good sign.
The activities are fun and varied with different things on offer every day. The food is freshly cooked daily and has a good variety of dishes that my son wolfs down.

The nursery has also dealt with Covid in a very professional manner, ensuring tests are carried out where necessary and self-isolation completed. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.
