The staff at the nursery are wonderful, they really care about my son and give him comfort when he needs it. He is a little unhappy about the new garden not having a slide anymore. Staff are always happy to talk about his development and how he is getting on at nursery.

We have been really pleased with the overall experience our child has had at Head Start. As a fairly shy child, they have been great at bringing her out of her shell and encouraging her to get involved and make friends. Our child comes home happy every evening with a smile on her face.

We have been at Head Start since my boy was 10 months. The school has come in heaps and bounds.
Since the take over the transition has been refreshing, amazing and comforting. The environment where I send my child is safe and warm and I feel my child is in an environment where he will develop excellently.
The education, nutrition and the teachers are amazing. I feel happy when I leave my child every day.

My child seems really happy here, she settled in really quickly and has progressed and learnt so much. It is lovely to get to meet all the staff like this and they have all been really happy and helpful.
We would love to see more outings as know how much they would love it.
Love all the tables and
chairs they sit on for their food.

Our little boy was refusing to wear pants up to now, but recently the nursery staff have always been trying to encourage him to put on them and finally we are very proud of our son.
He is happily asking the teachers when he needs a "wee".
We just feel our little son has now grown so much suddenly.
Thank you everyone for all the extra effort put in last month and also keeping us up to date with his progress all times.

Both my grandsons go to Head Start Day Nursery Potters Bar. I have been impressed with the care that they have there, the numerous activities that are undertaken and the way that the staff listen to the parents and children and ensure that everyone is happy with decisions that are made. The updates

Overall we are very happy with the level of care provided by the wonderful team at Head Start Day Nursery Potters Bar. Our child seems very content here and will talk often about the staff and other children he interacts with on a daily basis. The whole setting, both indoors and out, has been massively
improved in recent times. Lots of various days/celebrations are recognised and celebrated leading to a very diverse and educational outlook for our child. Any concerns we have for our child are always listened to and addressed and we feel supported in the progression of his development. Our child is happy and enjoys his time there, and that to us is a clear sign that it is the right place and environment for him.

My daughter has attended Head Start for a year and absolutely loves it. The staff are very caring and attentive. Dietary requirements and minor accidents are well managed. We receive detailed daily updates online including photos, activities, food eaten and nappy changes. Their diet is probably more
nutritious and varied than mine! It's been lovely seeing my daughter develop and learn lots at this nursery.

My two sons attend Head Start, I have one in preschool and one under 2's. It has recently been refurbished and has a great feel. Both my boys love going to nursery and the staff have been amazing. My eldest is due to start school in September and thanks to Head Start he is more than ready for this.
I would highly recommend to other parents.

Fantastic service from the staff. The manager of this nursery is very caring and capable as is her entire team. I feel very confident that my children are well looked after here. I don't worry about leaving my baby here and I know I would elsewhere.

Both of my children have attended Head Start Nursery and have enjoyed their experiences. We have been very impressed with the level of care and attention to the children throughout their early years. My son has been at Head Start Day Nursery for three years now and has always been very happy and settled here. Throughout the pandemic, staff have supported key worker parents and have done a fantastic job in engaging the children through this difficult time. It is a lovely, caring and supportive environment

Head Start have all the resources to meet all children's needs. Both my kids are with Headstart and my relation with Head Start is for almost more than 7 years. Every day is a new day that is embraced with new opportunities for which the children can learn. All the staff go above and beyond to help
kids develop and reach their milestones. Thank you to you all for everything and we will miss you once my boy leaves nursery next year.

I have found the staff helpful and friendly, always eager to provide verbal feedback at the end of each day and tell me when my child has achieved something new. It is wonderful that my son knows all the staff and not just the members of his class. He always enjoys nursery and waves goodbye when he
leaves. If I have any questions at all staff members are able to respond quickly, both verbally and via e-mail. Particularly useful is the app which tells me everything I need to know about his day, with some lovely pictures. I have always been made to feel welcome and assured that my son's educational needs are being promoted in both a group and individual setting. Keep up the good work.

Hello, I’m Becky,
I manage The Potters Bar Day Nursery and Preschool. I began my journey here in 2010 as an apprentice and have been privileged to work in various roles within the nursery, leading to my position as manager. This experience allows me to have a special understanding of how to best support both the children and my team throughout the nursery.


I have achieved a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, and in 2022, I furthered my education to become a qualified Level 3 SENDCo.


I am a mother to two young boys, both of whom attended The Potters Bar Day Nursery. I am passionate about helping both staff and children to reach their full potential.

Hello, I’m Summer.
I began my journey at the nursery as an apprentice in 2014, working towards my Level 3 qualification while gaining experience across all age groups. After qualifying, I became a full-time nursery practitioner, first supporting children under two, and later working with two-year-olds.


My progression continued when I became Room Leader in the pre-school room, a role I held for several years. I was then promoted to Third in Charge, where I gained further valuable experience before stepping into my current role as Deputy Manager.


Having worked with children of all ages, I feel well-equipped to support both my team and the children in our care. My passion for childcare began in childhood, inspired by my mum’s role as a childminder, and it has grown into a fulfilling career. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive impact on children’s development and to watch them reach important milestones, feeling proud and accomplished.


I take great pride in being part of this community and in helping to create a warm, home-from-home environment for every family who joins us.
