Both of our kids love coming to nursery and always come home happy and full of stories about their friends and teachers.
Both are generally shy children but have completely settled in this environment and act as they do at home which is fantastic.

Little Gardens is an amazing place. My daughter started over a year ago, and is so happy to be there. The staff are caring, compassionate and warm, and there is very little staff turnover. It really does feel like a home from home environment. I would really recommend this nursery to any prospective
parent looking for somewhere that will have your children's best interest at heart.

As a father, I am very pleased with the care and support my two sons receive at the nursery. One is in the under-2s room, and the other in the nursery room, and both are thriving. They are not only enjoying their time but also growing well with the right academic foundation for early years development.
The nursery maintains high standards of hygiene and safety, ensuring peace of mind for us as parents. The staff are caring and professional, creating a nurturing environment. I highly recommend nursery to any parent looking for quality early years education.

I can't thank the team at Little Garden The Potters Bar Day Nursery & Pre-School enough for their incredible support. As a dad on my own after losing my wife, trusting someone with my daughter's care was one of the hardest things I've had to do. But from day one, the staff have been unbelievably supportive,
making sure she's safe, happy, and well looked after. I know her wellbeing is their priority, which gives me real peace of mind.
Even on one of my toughest days, the team went above and beyond, staying behind to support me and keep my daughter smiling. Their kindness and dedication mean more than I can put into words. "Thank you" somehow doesn't feel enough, but I truly appreciate everything they've done for us. This Nursery is more than just a childcare provider, it's a place where we've felt cared for, understood, and supported.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 10 months and overall had a fantastic time learning and developing. The under 2's room have been brilliant with settling and making her feel comfortable, she loves coming in to nursery and I always see her enjoying herself on the app with pictures and comments.
She also loves the food at nursery and I know when she comes home she's had a good day of healthy and filling food.

Little Garden The Potters Bar Day Nursery & Pre-School has been absolutely brilliant. My daughter has been there since 11 months and is now three and a half. The staff are all wonderful and caring towards the children - my daughter talks about them all the time. Every day is packed full of activities
and tasty food, and the app keeps us up to date on what they are doing. They have been so supportive throughout my daughter's development, helping her flourish in so many ways. I can highly recommend this nursery.

We feel very lucky to meet with this team! Best place in Potters Bar. My daughter joined when she was 7 months and now, she is leaving as a 4-year-old. We will deeply miss all the staff. She had a fantastic time here, and it was a pleasure to observe her becoming a lovely girl from a baby. At every
stage of our journey, we had full support. Breastfeeding for 18 months, allergies, nappy training, and picky eating, also support bilingual children. Good quality food and snacks are available all day, a very useful app to follow up on daily activities and keep track of your child. It is a lovely, supportive, caring environment while they are educating tiny individuals to have self-confidence and respect. The girls are professional and the staff conduct themselves in a professional manner and give regular updates on the log which is always helpful and gives us a breakdown of what my child has eaten.
They have worked hard with him to help him progress in his speech and language and put intervention to

My son has been more independent and loves to go to the nursery every day. He loves to play with all his friends. His vocabulary has improved very well and he speaks in full sentences. Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2012

I re-joined the Head Start group in November 2020 as Deputy Manager after taking a year out to gain some experience as both a Deputy and Nursery Manager, and proudly managed the successful reopening of a nursery during a world pandemic. Prior to this, I had 8 years service in our Crews Hill nursery. Whilst working full time, I studied towards my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and proudly graduated in 2017.

I am now the nursery manager at Head Start Potters Bar.

The majority of my experience over the last 10 years has been with pre-school-aged children. Since having my own daughter, it has opened up a whole new world of baby development and play ideas for me. I have a real love for sensory, malleable, and messy play and like to share my knowledge with those around me in the hope it’ll inspire them to provide inviting, fun, and meaningful learning opportunities for the children in our care.

I’m passionate about working closely with parents and carers to support continuous learning at home; even something so small as reaching out to offer some support and advice can and will have a positive impact on a child’s overall development.

Hello, I’m Summer.
I began my journey at the nursery as an apprentice in 2014, working towards my Level 3 qualification while gaining experience across all age groups. After qualifying, I became a full-time nursery practitioner, first supporting children under two, and later working with two-year-olds.

My progression continued when I became Room Leader in the pre-school room, a role I held for several years. I was then promoted to Third in Charge, where I gained further valuable experience before stepping into my current role as Deputy Manager.

Having worked with children of all ages, I feel well-equipped to support both my team and the children in our care. My passion for childcare began in childhood, inspired by my mum’s role as a childminder, and it has grown into a fulfilling career. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a positive impact on children’s development and to watch them reach important milestones, feeling proud and accomplished.
