Grasshoppers Day Nursery (St Albans)

Grasshoppers is a fantastic nursery, my daughter has been attending for 2 months now and she has settled so well. She has built a strong relationship with the staff who look after her and she is full of smiles for them all when she arrives each day. I love the fact that all the staff know her even if they don't work in the same room and it makes me feel relaxed at work knowing she is having such a good time. The nursery has a real home from home feel and I really value the staffs knowledge and the care they take with the children.

I am pleased that my baby is developing well at the nursery. I have found that the staff are very knowledgeable about the child's development and actually guide and help me ensure that milestones are reached and how to support/help the baby achieve them. This nursery has surpassed my expectations and my baby has established very strong bonds with the staff which makes it easier for me to work knowing she is well looked after.

It's a fantastic nursery, the children are well looked after, It is a home from home environment. The staff are highly skilled. I wouldn't hesitate using them again.

We were seeking a bright, safe and clean school for our toddler and have found it at Grasshoppers St Albans. Staff are friendly and are genuinely caring of the children. We refer all those we know who are shopping for a place to try here.

Our two children went to Grasshoppers, starting in August 2010, the younger of the two having just 'graduated' preschool recently. We appreciated the caring staff, particularly those who had been there for so long and always felt assured we were leaving our children in a safe and loving environment.

Our daughter has only been at Grasshoppers for a year and a half but she has really settled there well. The staff are all very approachable and friendly, some in particular have been outstanding. She has made firm friends and developed close relationships with many of the staff. Their core values/rules have helped our daughter to play nicely with others and also to help them do the same. Her writing skills have been developed by the practice there and she has thoroughly enjoyed the creative and physical aspects of being there - she will greatly miss racing around in the lovely garden and playing in the playhouse and on the bikes! Thank you for looking after her so well!

Our son's key workers have been fantastic in helping our son settle in to nursery life and he loves coming to Grasshoppers and seeing all his friends. It's so reassuring to know how much they care for and nurture him while he is here.

Grasshoppers Day Nursery is an overall very friendly and hard working day nursery. All staff are trying their best to provide a family style learning environment to children. Children's natural personality development are looked after well with a diverse learning facility, toys, books and school paid attention and effort of multiple cultures. Full functional kitchen producing very good lunch and tea, fresh and delicious!

The staff at Grasshoppers are amazing. My son is always so excited to go to nursery and is full of excitement and energy when he gets home. The staff have helped him settle in very quickly with their care and attention. The activities they do are very well suited to my son's needs and he obviously really enjoys everything they do. He eats and sleeps well there and is very happy and content. The weekly emails are excellent and provide actual practical activities and ideas to carry out at home to support the activities taking place at the nursery. Excellent communication - thank you!

A great experience so far - my daughter has received a warm welcome over her first month at nursery. The staff seem knowledgeable, welcoming and fun. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

A very friendly nursery with lots of learning facilities for the children. I am very pleased with the communication each week. Very proactive and the staff are very friendly and approachable.

Overall I am very happy with the nursery. My child is looked after really well and she formed some good relationships with the children and adults. Staff are very friendly and approachable. My child is very attached to her key worker and on some days that my child is very is doing, her worker is always (smiley day). This makes my child very upset and if this could be changed, that would be great.

I thought Grasshoppers Day Nursery looked wonderful when we came to open day and it has been just that. We are so happy with the care that our two girls get here. The staff are so welcoming and kind and do lovely activities with the children. There's great communications between staff and parents especially in the younger rooms. I also like the way the nursery has fun days which the whole family are invited to. Thank you to everyone who works here.

The staff at Grasshoppers have always been warm, welcoming and completely professional. They seem to genuinely care about the children at the nursery and do as much as they can to put your mind at rest if you're concerned about anything. Most recently, they played an integral part in helping my one year old to adjust to life at full time nursery, and they certainly didn't seem to mind me calling then several times a day when my one year old first started.
