As first-time parents, the idea of sending our baby to nursery felt quite daunting. Our little one has settled in beautifully, and it's clear to see just how much he enjoys his time there. The baby room is absolutely gorgeous. Always spotless, calm, and so well-organised. It creates such a nurturing
environment that instantly put us at ease. Katie, in particular, has been fantastic with our son. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care have made a real difference, and we're so grateful for the bond she's built with him. It's lovely to see him interacting more and learning by watching the older children. The space is stimulating, well thought out, and clearly encourages curiosity and development. Every morning, we feel completely reassured when we drop him off. He happily stretches his arms out to the team with a big smile on his face which is all the reassurance we need that he's in great hands! Thank you to the entire team for your care, warm and positive welcomes.

Going back work and sending my only baby to nursery was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Like so many other parents, it was not a choice for us but something we had to do. The choice we did have was what nursery to send her to, and we couldn't have been happier with choosing Busy Bees
in St Michael's Mead, Bishop's Stortford.


Right from our first settling session, the whole team were so kind and supportive, not just to my daughter but to me as well. They made the whole process as smooth and easy as this tough situation could be, and what amazes me is how much they cater to each child's needs and challenges.


The regular updates are so reassuring and it's so much more than just child care, our daughter is developing and we are provided with ideas to help her develop further.


We're so happy with Busy Bees and believe our daughter is getting the best start.

My son has been at Busy Bee's since November 2024 and from the moment he started we have had such an amazing experience. He took a little while to get comfortable but all members of staff really made it their mission to help with his settle. All of the staff are so attentive and you can see have a real
passion for child care. I always feel really informed and the communications are always top tier which I feel is really important. I couldn't fault the care that my son gets here and he just really loves his time here! Thank you to Busy Bee's he has become more confident and has progressed so much since his time there. Overall amazing nursery and so glad we got a space here!

I was naturally quite nervous about sending my child to nursery, but I've been happy with our experience so far. The nursery uses a really good app that keeps me updated on my child's day, and the occasional photos they share are always so appreciated -though I'd love to see a few more. One of the things
I value most is how accommodating the nursery has been with changes to days or hours. This flexibility makes a big difference for families. The recent renovations to the nursery have also been noticed and are much appreciated. They were needed and have made a positive impact. Areas of improvements: young babies and older toddlers share the same room, which I don't feel is ideal. More consistency in staffing would also be beneficial. Some give detailed handovers at pickup (which I find incredibly helpful and reassuring), while others can be a bit brief or vague. It would be useful for parents to receive more information on the weekly menus (other nurseries do this).

The team have been so great. I have been very emotional leaving my little one however both his keyworker and the nursery manager have been amazing. I fully trust the nursery team with my little one. I get regular updates on the app and a handover when I collect him. I am so glad that I got a space here!

Busy Bees Bishops Stortford (St Michael's Mead) have made our son's transition to nursery when he turned 1 fantastic. Communication is really a strength of the nursery - we're always kept in the loop with how he's progressing, updates to team members etc. The staff are fantastic - it's brilliant to

My daughter has attended the nursery from the age of 10 months and we've had a great experience. She really wasn't a fan at the start but the staff made such an effort to bond with her and even rock her to sleep. She now absolutely loves nursery and runs in without looking back. I can only think she
loves it because she has such a great time. She also has grown attached to a few of the key staff in the room which is beautiful to see. They are also really responsive to emails or queries which is great and puts your mind at ease. Overall, very happy with our experience so far!

I am very pleased with many aspects of the nursery. In particular, I love that there is a large garden and the children spend a lot of time outside, there are always fun and well-thought-through activities. The food seems to be varied and high quality, the staff are very kind and mostly quite experienced
and the management is excellent in terms of communication as well as around important policies, such as health and safety, safeguarding etc.
I hope they will be able to increase staff retention which seems to be a bit of an issue.

A fantastic nursery. My daughter has been attending three days a week since she was 8 months old and we love the nursery so much, our son will also be joining.
The care and attention our daughter receives is wonderful. The teaching is second to none and the way in which she gets excited to go into
nursery is so great to see.

We love Busy Bees, our kid has developed so much over the last six months and it has been fantastic to watch. Nursery is one of her favourite places to be and she's always excited to see all her friends and teachers. I couldn't recommend it enough, they really care about the kids.

Lovely nursery. My son really enjoys his time here. The staff are great! And the facilities are good too. Lots of activities planned and I am kept up to date via their app and also when I pick him up. Can't fault it!

My son has been going to Busy Bees, St Michael's Mead, for a little over two years now. Our whole experience during this time has been great. I've been very impressed by how the management runs the centre and the staff are always warm, friendly and welcoming. It always feels like they have time for
me, even when they're obviously very busy. I really like how the centre holds family events throughout the year for parents to attend. It's lovely to get the chance to see the spaces your child plays every day and everything is always really well presented and clean.
My son has always enjoyed going to nursery and has now made a lovely little group of friends I'm sure he will take with him into the future.
Thank you to everyone at St Michael's Mead for looking after him so very well. I will always be grateful for the work you do!

The Busy Bees my child attends is incredible. They are so kind, welcoming and caring with the children and so helpful to us, as parents. I feel I can speak to any of the team at any time about my child. The manager is visible and approachable and is so quick to respond to any queries or concerns.

My daughter went to St Michael's Mead Nursery (Busy Bees Bishops Stortford) between January - April, since the age of 1. Our whole family experience at this place was fantastic, from the first tour, placement and helping to settle in, overcome initial periods of getting used to and growing. The areas
in the nursery are very well kept and give a lot of light and space for children to wonder and play as well as do essential things. Special thanks to the centre director for accommodating our special travel occasions and a member of staff and her team for loving and caring for my daughter every day since the beginning to the last day. We could see our daughter become at ease with the new environment, developing much faster than before the nursery environment and learning many new things, overall enjoying her time there, to the point, on a couple of occasions, she did not want to go home at the end of the day! Many thanks and wishing all the best of health and success to the team.

As my son is fairly new in the nursery, the staff have helped him transition from his previous nursery and settle in well and he now enjoys going to the nursery. They seem to provide a good range of activities which has helped my son's development grow even further. They support the child across different
needs which gives us peace of mind, knowing that they focus on areas that need to be strengthened. The staff are friendly and approachable and will do their best to meet my son's learning needs. Overall, a friendly nursery and so far, my son has enjoyed it.

Both of my children have excelled in all aspects, academically and socially, and I feel it's largely due to their time as Busy Bees.
My son is still attending and due to leave in September and start school. I will be sad for our time at Busy Bees to be over. We have had the most pleasant experience
