Highbury Lodge Day Nursery (Hitchin)

Our son loves coming to nursery and is always disappointed to leave. It makes our lives much easier knowing he's happy to be away from us when he has to be for work commitments. His happiness at nursery is in no small part attributed to the wonderful staff that work there.

My little boy started in the ladybird's room in September for four days per week. His key worker and staff have gone out of their way to make him happy and settled. They have made it home from home he now doesn't want to go home, he enjoys it so much. Equally, my daughter is in pre-school, and her key worker goes above and beyond. Brings stickers, treats and plans great events for the children. She calls her key worker, her best friend.

I would like to thank the entire staff of preschool room for their wonderful efforts towards every aspect of care and learning. I have no doubt in saying that my daughter is an independent, responsible, caring and understanding young lady and a very big role is played by the nursery. The staff take care very well and tries their best to understand the kid and cater to them personally.

My daughter has had the most amazing three years at Highbury Lodge. Her confidence has grown and knowledge of numbers and writing skills is incredible which is all down to the staff. All the staff are so kind and helpful. We will be very sad to say goodbye.

The games and activities run by the pre-school staff are deeply engaging and educational. My child loves attending this nursery and, aside from the activities, a big part of her enjoyment comes from the attention and love that she gets from the pre-school team.

I am very happy with Highbury Lodge. My son really enjoys his time here. Workers are always thinking of exciting activities for children, so they do not get bored. Activities are well structured and they follow and encourage my son's interests.

My little one is always very happy to be there.

We have been very impressed by the nursery. All the staff are very caring towards our daughter and have made her first year at nursery a positive experience. The onsite food is varied and healthy and has given our daughter the opportunity to try a wide range of foods. Our daughter also gets a chance to participate in various activities: music and singing, painting and exploring etc.

All the staff are great at their job and welcome every child into the room and nursery. My son started in the baby room and didn't like it much but the staff were great with him. He moved to the Ladybird room and started to come out his shell a bit and had a great bond with all the staff in the room. My son is now in Bumblebees and has become very confident in talking to the staff. Every member of staff makes him welcome in the room and he has a great bond with the staff.

Both of my children have been to Highbury Lodge and both have really enjoyed the experience, benefitting greatly from the care and the teaching.

Dynamic play - my daughter clearly loves all the different activities - from storytelling and songs to messy play and outdoor play. I've noticed such a difference in her development. She's come on leaps and bounds - thank you!

The staff are really caring and go out of their way to tell you small but important snippets of information about their child's day. Our son enjoys attending and has learnt lots of important life skills already.
