Kingsmead Day Nursery Chandler's Ford

Value for money - all UK nurseries are unreasonably expensive but this is a government-level issue, not the fault of any particular nursery.

Kingsmead have provided an excellent service to two of my children, they love going to nursery and all of the staff. It really feels like a family who loves and nurtures them. The staff are predominately mature with a wealth of experience and the children are in great hands. They have an on-site chef who makes sure the children have a well-balanced diet. I credit the nursery with making our boys good eaters and also with toilet training as they have come on in leaps and bounds with the nursery's help. Our eldest son has just started school and will be finishing nursery this week and he will miss everyone very much.

My daughter has been attending nursery for just over a year now, and in that time we have definitely seen progress in her confidence. The staff know that she can be shy and stubborn and continuously ask her questions without being too pushy. They are always friendly and my daughter always comes out smiling. I'm really impressed by their communication, response time and overall interaction with parents. Their safeguarding protocols are excellent which is of high importance to me.

We are delighted to have found this lovely nursery which offers a small, caring and happy setting for our son to play and learn as he gets ready for school. We have sent both our children here and they have both thrived with such warm and enthusiastic staff working in a bright, safe and spacious environment with plenty of variety in equipment and activities on offer. My son recently potty trained and it was an incredibly easy experience sending him in on only day 4, thanks to the excellent support of his key person. Thank you!

Whilst our son only joined just recently as parents we have found the experience of him starting extremely positive, knowing he's settling in a safe and happy environment and all his needs are catered for, helping him develop and grow. We chose this nursery as we felt it was the right place for our son to start his journey. The outdoor space is amazing, the staff are caring and approachable and their teaching methods are inspiring and we're already seeing a difference in him. This was the best decision we made.

The staff are always friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy being with my daughter. We get little photos and written updates about what our baby has been learning and playing with. The food is also excellent - all prepared on-site and the cook is always happy to amend the menu based on parental preference. I want to pass on a big thank you to the Kingsmead team, for looking after my daughter.

We have been very happy with Kingsmead. Our daughter seems to love it there! We get daily written reports of all the exciting activities she's been up to as well as the nutritious food she's eaten. The staff are friendly and professional and seem to take pride in what they do. We're extremely grateful for the care and love they give to our daughter.

We cannot recommend Kingsmead enough. Our daughter has settled so quickly and loves it! The activities they do are great, the facilities are lovely and the staff are professional, friendly and caring. The staff in the rainbow room have got to know our daughter so quickly and we never worry about her when she is in their care. We love Kingsmead and are so pleased we got a space here for our child.

Since re-opening to all children in June the staff have been great at settling children back in and our 2-year-old has been very happy. We have received updates throughout. One area to improve - share meal menus a week ahead to help plan family meals at home, especially now we cannot go inside to see the menus on the board.

The handling of lockdown and the approach taken when re-opening the nursery has been incredibly well thought out.

Kingsmead is a lovely nursery. My son had a wonderful time there from 11 months to 4 and a half years. He developed lovely relationships with the staff and made great use of the excellent space and facilities, spending lots of time outside all year round and taking part in a wide range of activities. He was very well prepared to leave for school even though he was sad to leave. I particularly appreciated the great communication from the staff and management and the good quality meals that are provided. We loved the effort that was made for the children to feel a part of the nursery community, with sports days and Christmas concerts.

My daughter has recently left Kingsmead to start school, after attending one and a half days a week for three years. I have had no complaints in this time. Staff all excellent. Fantastic communication from management. Lovely huge garden with lots to play with. They have managed covid in a confident manner. My only constructive feedback is they didn't even seem to be a huge amount of formal learning.

We are very happy with Kingsmead Nursery. They have adapted to Covid-19 very well. We love that our girls are both spending more time outdoors. The food in terms of variety is excellent and we like that it is all prepared on site. The nativity play is unrivalled and it is a shame that it will not take place this year due to Covid-19. The nursery was very flexible with us in terms of our girls returning to nursery after lockdown and we appreciate that.

It is a lovely, caring, nurturing environment for children.

Really lovely nursery. Outdoor space is amazing and outdoor play is always encouraged. They have such an enjoyable time every day.

All in all a brilliant nursery and I would have no hesitation recommending it to others.

From my first visit to Kingsmead to my childs last day, I knew my son was getting the best care possible. I always knew my son was being cared for in a professional manner, where all his needs were met. The setting is small giving it a family feel and any calls made during the day to check on my son were never any trouble. I would highly recommend this setting for all ages, having used it as early as three months old.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. We had to move our son from a previous one due to a lack of care and he has come on leaps and bounds at Kingsmead. They even have extra activities such as parties with bouncy castles and BBQs and a Christmas play. My son actually asks to go to nursery now! Staff are excellent and listen to you. Outside space is brilliant and I will continue to recommend this nursery to everyone. My daughter is due to start soon and I'm happy she'll be going here. Well done Kingsmead!
