Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Basingstoke is a purpose-built nursery offering outstanding Early Years care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Rated Good by Ofsted (January 2025), it features spacious, age-specific rooms, a sleep room for babies, and three secure garden spaces including a treehouse, sandpit, and mud kitchen.

Kiddi Caru Basingstoke is simply the best! My son, since day 1, always looks forward to going to daycare, the excitement on his face even while we are still waiting to get inside up until he gets picked up by his key workers is superb! This to me says a lot - I know that they nurture a safe, healthy
and happy environment for the children. I must also add how accommodating the staff have been especially during the pandemic, always happy to help with ad-hoc bookings to allow me and my husband be able to work. The staff are all amazing!

Great team, friendly and approachable. Our son has come on leaps and bounds with his development and learning. The outdoor space is great and the children spend quite a bit of time out there exploring. The staff take the children’s interests and develop activities to entertain those topics.

As a parent of a child with multiple complex allergies (anaphylaxis), I was really anxious about sending my son to nursery. However, I didn’t need to be - Kiddi Caru have been an incredible support for my son and myself in his transition to nursery life. Every staff member we have met is so caring towards
the children and nothing has been too much to ask. I feel so confident my son is well looked after whilst he is away from me and he absolutely loves it! Highly recommend!

Well, where do I start? My daughter has grown so much and in so many ways. She loves going to school and seeing her friends and especially her teacher.
I must compliment my daughter's teacher on her attitude, her love for the children and her enthusiasm. She has been my daughter's teacher for about
a year and a half now, they seem to follow each other. But I couldn't be any happier. My daughter loves her and misses her when she is not there. My daughter's teacher gives good feedback on her development and where there are areas of improvement, and she always advises us and how we can help her.
The school environment is lovely and the setting. I couldn't recommend any other school for a child.

I have had 2 children through Kiddi Caru Basingstoke and have always been extremely happy with the care they have received.
The staff are all fantastic, warm and caring towards the children. They take part in a range of activities, in and outdoors and they love going in every day.
I wouldn’t hesitate
to recommend the nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

Our twins are currently in pre-school at Kiddi Caru, and we have had children attend the nursery continuously since December 2014. Our 3 children have all gone through Kiddi Caru from when they were in the baby room right up to pre-school. Our experience is that Kiddi Caru has been excellent on so many
levels.
Firstly, the staff are wonderful. I feel confident in them looking after my children. They have the expertise but they are also so caring with our children, developing lovely relationships with them all. Where our children need additional support, the staff have met this need.
2) The facilities are great. The nursery is purpose-built and is lovely, bright and clean. The garden is awesome with different play areas for the children. In our opinion, outdoor space is so important for children.
3) The food is made on-site by the chef who has been there throughout. Our children love her food and never come home hungry. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

I am so pleased I chose this nursery for my son. During the lockdown, Kiddi Caru were fabulous at keeping us updated and were more than flexible when it came to returning. My son settled in so quickly, it was clear he loves his time there. The staff are all very friendly and have a genuine interest
and care for the children they look after. They had no trouble in working with my son's routine, which helped with the easy settling in process. My son walks in with a smile on his face every day and always looks so happy when I pick him up. I love the range of crafts and play that they engage the children with every day and the food they serve is excellent.
After Christmas, we found ourselves in a long isolation due to Covid-19 (to no fault of the nursery) and the staff went above and beyond by hand-delivering an arts and craft pack to help entertain my son. I could not recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter has learnt so much since attending here. The classes are very social and learning is integrated well! Have had some administration issues which could have been avoided, like named contacts having issues on pick up even after my permission was submitted in writing! I’d rather safe than sorry,
which is good they were, but was annoying. I’d like to see more digitalisation. Like their development diaries on an online portal for instance. Overall, the care is good and my daughter enjoys it.

The staff are always very helpful and friendly. My boys love going there and talk about it even when home.
I also like the things they teach, like French and yoga as it is different from just shapes and colours. I have seen a huge change in my twins since they have started. They hold full conversations
with me and it feels that they get more like little adults each day, which is a good and bad thing.

In my opinion, it is the wonderful staff at Kiddi Caru that makes it such an excellent nursery. From when you walk into the building on a Monday morning to a cheery "Good morning, how was your weekend?" from the ladies on the front desks to collecting him at the end of a long week (for the Kiddi Caru
team!) on a Friday afternoon to be told about the days events with the same, genuine enthusiasm you received on the Monday afternoon.

My oldest has been at Kiddi Caru since he was 6months old and is now in the preschool and we all absolutely love it. The staff are wonderful in every respect, the facilities are fantastic and the education program is top-notch - I’ve got a three-year-old who can now speak a little French in addition
to ticking all the boxes on the school readiness checklist.
If anyone asks me for a nursery recommendation I say Kiddi Caru with no hesitation.

My Son started at Kiddi Caru back in August 2018 - he struggled to settle at first but the girls helped him to feel safe and secure and he then settled within good time. The girls care so much for the children in their care and it really shows on a daily basis - they are so welcoming and friendly towards
myself, my family and my son and he enjoys attending nursery every day! He doesn't stop speaking about his key worker and buddy (he's 2) so this really shows the positive impact they have had on him. Any problems I have had the girls have been so quick to reassure me and show me what they have done to rectify the problem within good time - which I can only appreciate. They provide a good variety of menu choice and my son eats really well at nursery - they give great feedback so I know exactly what he's done during the day with them and it always sounds super fun!

This nursery is the 'elite' of nurseries within Basingstoke and this my second child who has attended. The premises are so clean and well kept. The staff are so attentive to the children and l can see that they genuinely care and form bonds with children on a one to one basis. My daughter 'signed' to
me earlier in the week and family dinner times have since improved - as the meal time environment at nursery teaches them to enjoy food and be social and independent. The outside play area is very impressive and safe.

A wonderful nursery that helps kids nurture and grow in preparation for ‘big school’. My first son started Kiddi Caru at 9 months old and stayed there right up to preschool. My second son (2yrs old) now attends and loves it just as much. Lovely facilities and lovely staff. A***
