Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Basingstoke

A well-run nursery with lots of lovely staff members! My son has been looked after in two of the rooms ( Snowdrop and Sweetpea) and has had two great key workers, who have looked after him beautifully and paid careful attention to his development.

Staff are always very welcoming and knowledgeable of my daughter's individual preferences. She has also come on leaps and bounds with her writing (mark-making), and knowledge of phonics, and has come home speaking French!

Definitely recommend.

The lady in the baby room is amazing with my little boy. Always get updates throughout the day on the app showing me what he's up to in the day, which I enjoy. Really happy with the service, and management does everything they can to accommodate.

Kiddi Caru has been phenomenal with our son, who joined when he was 14 months old (now 20 months). He took a while to settle, but they spent time learning about him and how to support him; even the nursery manager spent time reading him books and genuinely taking an interest, which is so lovely to see. He now loves his days there; he participates in every activity and has made strong bonds with the staff who, I couldn’t rate more highly! Always friendly and communicate well with the children and the parents. The classroom (snowdrop) has a lovely bright feel to it, and there are lots of areas for creative and imaginative play.

Overall, we are delighted - credit to the team.

Absolutely lovely staff, great facilities, and so many activities our little one loves. Our son has been attending for over a year now, and we’re hoping to send our second child here later this year. Generous outside space and regular approved walks in the local parks and woods. Regular enriching activities (sing and sign, French, boogie mites) and great communication from all staff. We can’t recommend staff enough!

My youngest son has started just recently and he's been welcomed in by all the staff. He looks forward to going to Nursery and even gets disappointed when it's not a Nursery day. Bless him he'd spend 24 hours a day, seven days a week if he could. He can't wait to tell me about his day at nursery as soon as I get in from work. Having familiar faces there as my daughter and son attended here before puts myself and my partner at ease. So when picking a Nursery for our youngest it really was a no brainer. Keep up the good work all at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, you're doing a brilliant job.

Communication could be a lot better, on just one situation they didn’t inform us “new to parenting” about getting a child ready for school how and when. When questioned about this subject the nursery did not know the closing dates for application, applying, or how to go about this or any mentions of school!

Fantastic nursery who really connects with the children. My son absolutely loves his nursery days and is so excited to go in the morning. They eat really well and do a huge variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Definitely recommend to others.

I currently have three of my children attending the nursery. Two of them started off at the nursery roughly at about 8 months old. I am especially happy with the progress my children have made so far at nursery, and I look forward to the artwork my daughter brings back home. The staff are engaging and kind. A special shout out to the staff in the sweetpea room at the nursery who are very kind and you can see it reflected in the way they care for the children. Generally, I am pleased with the nursery and will recommend it to any parent. The nursery ticked and is still ticking all the boxes for me - education, quality care, real-time updates to parents, consideration for the wellbeing of children, and also security.

My only issue was the issues with staffing, I appreciate that these could not be helped but it did almost become a daily occurrence receiving an email asking if we could keep our children at home. With the lines of work that both my husband and I are in having days off at short notice can cause problems, so it was a constant worry about if they would be able to attend.

My son had a fantastic few years at Kiddi Caru and was sad to leave! The nursery has fantastic staff who really care about the children. The nursery itself is lovely, especially the garden areas, and is always clean. I highly recommend Kiddi Caru.

Fantastic care! I used Kiddi Caru for all my kids and I can honestly say I would use them again. My kids were always happy to go and they always said they had a good day. The food was very good with a good variety. Very clean with a great outdoor play area.

Really friendly and always looking to help families with any difficulties. My child always looked forward to going in and came out with a smile on her face. Plenty of activities and lots of updates on progress.

The only criticism I have of Kiddi Caru is its flexibility of extra hours/change of hours/additional days. As working parents, we need to be able to rely on childcare that works around our work. We requested a change of days within the requested 8-week notice and still has not been made over months later, which is difficult when trying to work without childcare.

Brilliant nursery. The knowledge my son has learnt is outstanding and I am confident he is ready for school this year. My little girl has been there for 6 months now and loves it. All staff members are so friendly, approachable and care about the children. Highly recommend.

My daughter loved her time at Kiddi Caru. She talks about her teachers there all the time saying how much she misses them. I felt she really did develop well and they helped her a lot to prepare for big school! So thank you for all your support!
