Welcome to Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport.

Opened in 2005 the Nursery is located in two beautiful grade II listed buildings and is ideally positioned to access either public transport and the ferry or the main routes out to Fareham.

Gosport has large spacious rooms with direct access to outdoor play areas.

The main nursery building accommodates children across two rooms - toddlers and preschool, and the second separate building houses the under two's age group.

The best way to get to know the nursery is to visit and look at what they can offer families where parents can meet and talk to a dedicated childcare team who are proud to meet the needs of each individual child cared for whilst providing the very highest standard of early years care and education.

Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport are brilliant, I am a first-time mum and have returned to work with my daughter being just 6 months which as you can imagine was very nerve-wracking however the staff are incredible and so passionate. Her key worker is amazing and my daughter loves being here so much

I cannot recommend Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport enough. They have been amazing with my daughter and she has blossomed since starting last June. The updates and care diary are great to keep me informed on how she’s been throughout the day, she’s always so happy and loves all the staff.

The ladies at Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport are all so lovely with my daughter, she really enjoys coming to nursery and talks about all of the ladies all of the time! She tells me all about her day when she comes home every time and the fun things she has gotten up to that day.

My son has a delay in his development and I am really pleased with the improvement I have seen in my little boy since he started attending Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport. Always amazing, helpful, and professional staff. The homely atmosphere makes my child happy to go there every day. Variety of food even with dairy allergies and all of the information on what the child ate at the end of the day. Also, my child seems to be prepared for big school already. I 100% recommend
this nursery.

The members of staff have always been so helpful and supportive towards my son & myself. He has adjusted so well which i put down to the lovely staff making him feel welcomed and comfortable within the nursery setting. He will come home after doing such a large variety of activities during the day

My son has been going to Hopscotch Gosport since September 2020 and has loved every second! When he figures out where he's going there's no stopping him now. The staff have been excellent and the updates we receive have been lovely to see. If you have any questions they are always happy to provide and
answer or look out for any issues. Five star review is nowhere near good enough.

Absolutely the best nursery around!
The staff at Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport are friendly and welcoming. Their attention to detail in all aspects of my daughter's care is second to none, I feel completely at ease when I drop my daughter off, always coming home with a smile!
The outdoor activities
and garden are where my child loves to explore the most and their garden is very well equipped with lots of different ways to learn and play.
My child always has a variety of different meals at Hopscotch which I feel helps with positively trying new foods, there is nothing my daughter won't try!
Overall I would say this is a fantastic pre-school and would totally recommend it to any mum/dad looking for a nursery.

Absolutely fantastic, caring team. They go over and above to accommodate you and your little one. The teams are so caring and hands-on and my little one loves being there. They put my son at such ease when he first started and he looks forward to his sessions. It's such a relief to leave my little one

I would highly recommend Hopscotch Gosport for any child. The staff are warm, welcoming and professional. They always seek to answer any concerns, are proactive and take a keen interest in my child’s development and play. The activities that the children are involved in are wonderful. I particularly
loved the real-life caterpillars, African snails and eggs hatching. These experiences are so important for our little ones and things I couldn’t necessarily offer at home. Thanks a million for such a fabulous service, every day!

My daughter is 2 and a half and has been attending Hopscotch since she was 9 months old. All the staff are amazing at what they do and I feel comfortable knowing that my daughter is being so well looked after. Their food is great and the activities they do are also really educational and fun. She will

My son started here at 12 weeks old and as he was a newborn I wanted to feel like he was safe and in good hands. He is now nearly 1 years old and still attends, he is always so happy when we drop him off and every member of staff is lovely.
There has never been any problems. Communication between
staff and myself is good and with the app, it means we can keep up to date with what he is doing along with his meals and nap times.

Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport is such a wonderful place for children to learn and play! My fighter has been here since she was nine months old. They have played a part in bringing her up. She has absolutely flourished within this environment. Her social and communication skills have been truly nurtured
here. The nursery nurses are skilled and just amazing with the children, they really do go above and beyond to support the children and their families. I have recently placed my son here and have had no issues whatsoever as I know he will be taken good care of and he already adores being at nursery! If you are debating if this nursery is right for your child, it absolutely is! The communication between staff and parents is second to none.

My son started nursery in January. I couldn't be more pleased with how he is getting on he is loving it and comes back regularly with drawings or things he has made which is lovely, the staff are all amazing and support my little one so well. I am regularly updated on how he is doing which is very reassuring.

My little one loves Hopscotch. They are always doing fun activities and all the staff know the children well. There is great outdoor space for them to play around in at each age group. We get regular updates about their development via their online platform.

Such a lovely setting, my child is currently in the under 2s room and she’s come along so well. They worked so hard with her and she went from crying at drop off and having to be carried in to walking in confidently. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, I love the app they use and the setting is very
clean, bright and looked after. I get great updates at pick up time and all the meals and snacks are varied and fresh. I’m so sad my child turns 2 soon and will be moving rooms, I wish she started Hopscotch sooner to have spent more time enjoying babies but I know she’ll get on just fine in children!

Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport is such an amazing nursery. My daughter joined during the first lockdown and settled in very quickly, much to our relief, with the help of the wonderful, welcoming staff. On our tour we were impressed with the play rooms, there is a large range of toys and equipment available
to engage with inside and out, including their brilliant sensory room! My daughter has flourished since starting here and with the help and support from staff, she is growing into a confident and assertive little lady. Highly recommended this nursery to everyone.

Our little girl has been at Hopscotch day Nursery Gosport from the age of six months, she’s now three. Apart from a slight wobble when transitioning from babies to toddlers and not getting on with her first key worker, who was quickly swapped, once she was allowed to bring a settling object from home,
my daughter has gone from strength to strength, thanks to the staff who recognise her needs. She’s formed some really close bonds with her key workers over the years and still gets excited to see and chat to them, even after she’s moved settings. Her speech has come on leaps and bounds since joining preschool, as well as her imagination based play and drawing skills. It is clear the team do a great job in providing one on one but also fun group activities. My next bundle of joy is due soon and I will not hesitate to send them to Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport.

My little boy has settled in so well and I am so confident in leaving him. He is always so happy when I pick him up and will talk about his day and his teachers. The staff are amazing and they care for all the children so well. Working in the childcare sector it was always a big worry for me to leave
my child with anyone else but hands down this is the best nursery and I wouldn't hesitate in referring people to Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport. Thank you all for the quality of care you provide and I can't wait for my little girl to start.

Hi, I am Georgia and I am the Manager of Hopscotch Gosport. I joined the Hopscotch team in 2022 to become the Manager of our brand new Portswood site and moved to manage Gosport 2025. I am qualified for PGCE in Primary Education. I have worked in nurseries for 12 years and took a short break to teach in Reception and Year 1 before returning to Early Years.


At Hopscotch Gosport, we strive to deliver rich meaningful interactions which allow children to be creative and show care and courage. We want our children to be happy, and confident and have a clear sense of self and belonging within their world, including their local community. We believe in recognising, and celebrating children as individuals, and extending their learning through their interests, wants and needs. Our desire is that children to experience play-based learning.


Learning that should be fun, engaging and suitably challenging. Adults provide high-quality interactions and create meaningful bonds with their children and our families to ensure they are positive role models for learning and provide a home-from-home experience.
