Welcome to Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport.

Opened in 2005 the Nursery is located in two beautiful grade II listed buildings and is ideally positioned to access either public transport and the ferry or the main routes out to Fareham.

Gosport has large spacious rooms with direct access to outdoor play areas.

The main nursery building accommodates children across two rooms - toddlers and preschool, and the second separate building houses the under two's age group.

The best way to get to know the nursery is to visit and look at what they can offer families where parents can meet and talk to a dedicated childcare team who are proud to meet the needs of each individual child cared for whilst providing the very highest standard of early years care and education.

My son has been going to the Gosport Hopscotch Day Nursery since he was 5 months old. The staff are amazing helping to support him with his development. He's really started to bloom now with their help and he's improving daily.
I would say to anyone looking for a nursery this one is fantastic.

My Son has attended Hopscotch Gosport since November 2021 and still to this day (June 2023!) I don’t have a bad word to say about the nursery. The whole team have been fab, I’m very particular about who I leave my Son with, yet almost right away when he was in the babies room I felt completely at ease.
My son loves all the lovely staff who look after him and it’s clear to tell the staff really care about him too, including management who have been working with me and my son recently following a bout of poor health. Everything is communicated from his sleep, activities, emotions, to what he’s eaten that day. The staff here are all worth their weight in gold. I couldn’t imagine sending him anywhere else, they have my complete trust. Best nursery around!

My child is in the baby room, when she first started 9 months ago she just cried but within 2 weeks she was happily settled in.
I think I took longer to adjust than she did.
Staff very helpful, welcoming and make you feel at ease.
I like that I get a call if the staff are unsure on something.
Or
if she has had an accident I get a call and paperwork is always ready for me to sign on collection.
Handovers are great, and info is always online when I check.
Great work baby room, I can’t fault you.

I felt very nervous about sending my child to nursery, from my very first meeting with the staff I got a really good vibe, although apprehensive, I felt comfortable. My child's development has been brilliant, he has learnt so much. I often wonder where he gets the songs from and the phrases he says
and sings. I can only assume it's from Hopscotch and their team. He has been in the baby section and waddlers so far. He loves all the staff equally but always seems to fall in love with a particular member of staff. My work commitments are ever-evolving and Hopscotch are extremely amicable and supportive of my changes. I’ve always wanted to be a fly on the wall to see what he gets up to, so sometimes I look in the window before ringing the bell, nine times out of ten I see my little boy sitting on someone’s lap getting cuddles, which fills my heart with love. Hopscotch Gosport really are a wonderful and caring nursery. My return to work would not have been possible without them.

My little girl has just started and all staff have done an amazing job in helping her settle her in the under 2’s! She so clearly has a bond with her key worker already which is lovely to see and makes it easier leaving her.

Our child has been at Hopscotch for almost 18 months now and absolutely loves it. He is welcomed with huge smiles every morning and as are the girls from him.

Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport have been fantastic at building my child’s confidence and promoting good social interaction with her peers. Which has been especially important for her after lockdown. They are attentive to her moods on specific days and all the staff are great at building relationships
with her and have earned both her trust and mine. I cannot recommend them enough.

My daughter enjoys every day at nursery and is always doing lots of different activities. All of the staff have been great with her, friendly and helpful. All of the meals and snacks have been varied so it's great knowing she gets to try lots of different foods. Extremely glad we chose this nursery

Since our child has moved up to the toddler room we cannot complain at all. Information from the staff about our child is always amazing and they know everything about what has happened that day.
Absolutely lovely staff, cannot fault them in the slightest.
My child is always so happy. Very impressed
with the nursery.
Management is incredible, they are very helpful with any issues that we may have had.

Staff at Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport are all amazing. My son started when he was 9 months old. They do an amazing job. After every week my son comes home speaking more words. He has even been moved into preschool which will help him progress more. I have no bad words to say, but loads I can praise

I cannot recommend Hopscotch enough. My 3-year-old joined aged 9 months and has flourished in babies, toddlers, and now preschool. He has a great relationship with all the staff and they're all so kind and friendly. My 17-month-old has been in babies for almost 9 months and he is really happy and growing
in confidence.
They go above and beyond to make sure the boys are always settled and happy, and also that I am happy and reassured they're ok.
I was nervous about my 3-year-old starting and then my 17-month-old joining during covid but I had no need to be at all.....the boys are safe, happy, cared for, and developing exactly as they should be.
I like how friendly and approachable everyone is, nothing is too much trouble and any concerns or questions I've had have always been discussed and resolved immediately.
I am so pleased both my boys attend hopscotch and know that when they are there they have so much fun and are constantly learning new things

I have always had a positive experience with all of the staff who are very helpful and happy to go above and beyond, sometimes my son doesn't want to leave! I couldn't give a bigger recommendation for someone looking for a nursery with affordable fees, great facilities and genuinely caring staff. 5

When my son started Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport in June 2021, he was quite delayed in his speech and social skills. The ladies at hopscotch helped him open up and build his confidence in playing with other children rather than alongside them. He now has improved in his speech so much that he can count,
identify his colours and shapes and communicate his wants and needs. I can’t thank Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport enough for the love and care they have given my child, he loves attending and telling me what he’s done during the day.

My Granddaughter loves attending Hopscotch nursery, she is always happy to go and always happy when I collect her. She is comfortable with all the ladies which is great, I have no concerns at all. I would highly recommend Hopscotch to anyone looking for child day care its the best.

Since starting at Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport my son has come on leaps and bounds. It's been lovely to see observations on the app of what he gets up to every day. The staff are amazing and always take time to listen to any questions. My son loves attending and goes in with a big smile every day.

Very happy and content with the how the toddler room staff have helped my little girl settle, and become more confident in her self.

Both my little ones have been going to this nursery for the past 2 years and not once had any issues, the staff are amazing and super friendly, neither of my children have ever had a complaint. Absolutely amazing place and I highly recommend.

Our child has been going to Hopscotch Day Nursery Gosport for over a year now, since 9 months old. The facilities are excellent, with a lovely outdoor space for him to play in.
The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are very supportive of our child’s development.
They have a genuine care for him and clearly enjoy their jobs, creating a wonderful atmosphere within the nursery.
We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere to put their child.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2022

Hi, I am Georgia and I am the Manager of Hopscotch Gosport. I joined the Hopscotch team in 2022 to become the Manager of our brand new Portswood site and moved to manage Gosport 2025. I am qualified for PGCE in Primary Education. I have worked in nurseries for 12 years and took a short break to teach in Reception and Year 1 before returning to Early Years.


At Hopscotch Gosport, we strive to deliver rich meaningful interactions which allow children to be creative and show care and courage. We want our children to be happy, and confident and have a clear sense of self and belonging within their world, including their local community. We believe in recognising, and celebrating children as individuals, and extending their learning through their interests, wants and needs. Our desire is that children to experience play-based learning.


Learning that should be fun, engaging and suitably challenging. Adults provide high-quality interactions and create meaningful bonds with their children and our families to ensure they are positive role models for learning and provide a home-from-home experience.


We share a passion for high-quality interactions and supporting families and children in our local community.
