Located in the heart of the community, Good Manors Day Nursery Manor Lodge provides a warm and welcoming environment for all children to learn and grow. The nursery is situated in the market town of Fareham. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery is made up of three unique rooms with space for children to explore at their own pace. Each room has been carefully planned to provide a natural environment with a range of age-appropriate resources for the children to engage with.

Learning for younger children focuses on building the children’s sensory skills as well as engaging in a variety of activities to extend all areas of learning and development. In the Pre-school, the children are encouraged to choose their own activities to support independent learning and to build confidence, ready for the transition to school.

The nursery has a large secure garden that includes a sand pit, water play and mud kitchen. There is also an area for the children to explore the world around them, with a bug hotel and a vegetable patch. The outside space also houses a space called “The Lodge Pod” where children can continue their learning, with activities such as mark making and arts and crafts.

Our son has been at the nursery for over a year and absolutely loves going 3 days a week! The staff are so patient and kind and he seems to really enjoy the food he eats and activities he gets involved in (from the updates we receive). The team has really supported his development and us as a family-

My daughter has been attending Good Manors since she was 11 months old. I have always felt she was safe and just as importantly happy. At 4 years old she now comes out every day still smiling and telling me all the activities she has done. The staff are always on hand to talk and share my child’s progress.
I especially love how much time the children spend outside, no matter the weather they get fresh air and utilise the beautiful outside space they have. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!

Good Manors has been great for our child. She's always happy to go and when picking her up I see the smiles on the faces of the carers and other children are genuine. The kindness and compassion shown to my child whilst at nursery is wonderful. The children all seem happy and my child comes home babbling about his day. He is a confident boy and loves his nursery days.

The staffs here are amazing. My first child was cared for by Good Manor and also my second. It is sad that my youngest won't be able to attend the graduation day but we wish all the staff/business the best.

The team are great with my daughter and she is always so excited to go to nursery. She comes home and tells us all about her day and who she has been talking to. She thinks of the team as her friends and I know this is giving her the right attitude towards adults and setting her up for school.

Our 3-year-old and 1-year-old love this nursery. All staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have 100% confidence in leaving our children in the care of the amazing staff. The outdoor area is secure and a great space for children to play.

Our daughter has been attending one day a week for the past 6 months. She absolutely loves going to ‘school’ and happily walks in each week. Each week there are a range of different creative and learning activities. The garden area is particularly good, which was key for us when choosing a nursery.
We’re kept up to date with photos of her each session so we can talk to her about her day and a list of what food she’s eaten. We’ve not had any issues but I’m confident that if there was any need to raise a concern it would be dealt with quickly by the lovely staff. Thank you!

My child has been lucky enough to be able to attend Good Manors Day Nursery since she was 7 months old. All the staff are amazing at their job, my daughter seems to have a great time there and no matter what time I collect her they are always happy to chat about her day. Also there is so much support
if your child needs extra help.

I am so impressed with Good Manors Day Nursery Manor Lodge, I felt comfortable from day one leaving my child in their care. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The building is gorgeous and the garden is the perfect outdoor space for the little ones. I highly recommend
this place and wouldn’t even dream of looking elsewhere. My child comes home happy and well-looked after having spent the day playing and learning.

I cannot recommend Good Manors enough; both of our children have attended here and loved it, so much so that we have only ever had to go through tears at drop-off once or twice in 8 years. The staff are like family, and I trust them implicitly with our kids.
All food is cooked fresh, and the variety
is excellent; my fussy son, who will only eat plain foods at home, will eat curries and goulash at nursery! The facilities are well maintained and replenished regularly, we have seen a few incarnations of the site over the last eight years, and the current layout is the best yet.
The activities are varied and well planned out to engage the children, whilst giving them ample time to burn off excess energy before/after quieter more skilled tasks. Free play using the child's own imagination is also encouraged.

The staff are amazing! So friendly and have been great with all my children that have attended there. My children loved/love going to Good Manors. Indoor and outdoor facilities are brilliant. Such a great nursery.

Good Manors Day Nursery (Manor Lodge) is the perfect fit for our son. The staff are all incredibly supportive of both children and parents and are always willing to give good summaries of our children’s days. The activities they do are very rewarding and the cleanliness of the site is second to none.
My only suggestion of improvement would be an intercom to make drop off/pick up go a little smoother, but they’re busy looking after the little ones after all! Overall this is an excellent nursery and our little one seems to be thriving as a result and is very excited to go to the nursery!

The team at Good Manors Day Nursery are exceptional in their care for my son. He's grown in confidence from day one and he is always excited to go in and see his friends and the team. I think it is amazing how dedicated the team are in ensuring the wellbeing of the children whilst in their care from
nutrition to arts and crafts and even baking cookies. My son loves the water play and playing outside in the garden with his friends.

Lovely set-up for the kids and a great outdoor space.
The upstairs baby room can be stuffy and have no airflow, please can you open some windows and doors to allow ventilation?
Back door drop off and pick up can be an issue at times but this has been addressed because of staffing issues and doorbell
not working.
Please can we have the outdoor sandpit up and running as Covid restrictions have been lifted?

My three-year-old daughter currently attends Good Manors and my five-year-old son did until he started school in September 2021. We have always found it to be a caring, safe place which both of our children have loved attending. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a very loving ethos around
the place. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The nursery staff are welcoming and supportive of our son and we are kept up to date with his progress through the effective use of the app and via a thorough handover at the end of the day. Targets are regularly reviewed and we can easily access these as a parent.
They are creative in how the children
are entertained, including themed activities that link to the seasons and time of year.
The staff have a keen eye on safeguarding and are committed to keeping children safe and promoting their wider well-being. What a fantastic nursery!

This is a fantastic nursery, my son has been going here full-time since he was 16 months and he absolutely loves it! Doesn't even look back at me when I say goodbye at the gate because he's so excited to go in! We get daily updates on the app with photos of all the activities he's doing and I really
feel like this nursery goes above and beyond to support and encourage the children. My son has built an amazing relationship not only with his keyworker but with other staff in the nursery and I feel confident leaving him in their hands. They really care about getting the best outcomes for all the children and I feel like they know my son personally, he's not just another child at the nursery. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, I'm hoping my son will attend here until he goes to school - he's so happy here that I reckon he'd choose to go on the weekends as well if he could!
