Located in the heart of the community, Good Manors Day Nursery Manor Lodge provides a warm and welcoming environment for all children to learn and grow. The nursery is situated in the market town of Fareham. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery is made up of three unique rooms with space for children to explore at their own pace. Each room has been carefully planned to provide a natural environment with a range of age-appropriate resources for the children to engage with.

Learning for younger children focuses on building the children’s sensory skills as well as engaging in a variety of activities to extend all areas of learning and development. In the Pre-school, the children are encouraged to choose their own activities to support independent learning and to build confidence, ready for the transition to school.

The nursery has a large secure garden that includes a sand pit, water play and mud kitchen. There is also an area for the children to explore the world around them, with a bug hotel and a vegetable patch. The outside space also houses a space called “The Lodge Pod” where children can continue their learning, with activities such as mark making and arts and crafts.

My 17-month-old son has loved Manor Lodge since day 1 (9 months). We have seen him develop so much and it's great to see him interacting with the other children and the staff. He has learnt (and continues to learn) basic signs which are useful at home.


The babies are always doing fun activities -

messy or wet, they always seem to have fun. The tapestry update photos and comments are lovely. We are kept up to date of any injuries or signs of being unwell and really feel that staff/management genuinely get to know and care about the children.


We have seen regular investments in furniture, decorations and the gardens. The location is great for us, the town centre is handy and I love the fact that the garden is completely enclosed and away from any noisy polluted roads.


The food variety is good and seems enjoyable as he seems to eat nearly everything he is given. We were also impressed they managed to get him to nap early on as he wouldn't sleep anywhere but in his cot at home!


So glad we chose Good Manors at Manor Lodge!

My daughter has been attending Good Manors Manor Lodge since October 2017. On her arrival, she was shy and timid and wouldn’t be without me. Now she is sociable with her friends is Nursery and her vocabulary is amazingly amazing. She has learnt so much and will continue to learn more from the friendly
and wonderful staff. My daughter also has certain health problems which the whole staffing team are aware of and Care plans are put in place. This is so reassuring knowing when I drop her off in the morning she is well looked after. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.

After some serious problems with the previous nursery, the staff at Good Manors at Manor Lodge have been amazing. I love the fact pre school and Tweenies are split giving more support to the younger toddlers. Great staff members who are happy and helpful. My daughter is very happy and settled there
and I have peace of mind leaving her there. The only minor thing is that sometimes there is less communication than I’d like e.g. when a new staff member starts it would be nice to be told/introduced or an email sent out to parents to keep everyone informed.

Soon as we walked through Manor Lodge to look around I knew I wanted my daughter to join here, the staff were/are so welcoming.
My daughter has been there for over a year now and she loves it, every time I collect her she looks so happy and tells me about her day. The staff are brilliant and so friendly,
they really work hard and dedicate themselves in making sure the children are safe and are having a great time.
When my daughter starts school in a couple of years I will be sad that she will be leaving.

We started our daughter at Good Manors at Manor Lodge from about 9 months old for 1.5 days a week. We upped this to 2.5 and then 3 days as we could see the benefits her time there was having from her development. She has now just gone up to the Tweenies group and is loving it even more.

My 2-year-old has been here since Easter 2017. We were originally meant to have her starting at another nursery and after an appalling settling in session, I had 3 days to source a new & more suitable nursery. I explained my situation to the management at Good Manor’s and they were able to accommodate
and offer settling in sessions straight away after an initial and prompt visit.
My daughter still clings a bit when I drop her off but I think that’s more for attention but I have no doubt that she is being cared for and having so much fun whilst I go off to work. Her speech and development have really developed over the past 6 months and the staff are always really polite & say hello to her when she enters, even those who aren’t necessarily in her age area know her name & say hello.

This is a wonderful nursery, I have two children attending one with extremely delayed speech and the staff have been utterly amazing with him, I just can't thank them enough! My daughter adores going to 'school' and has come on so much, they have really brought her out her shell and were so patient
with her separation anxiety, can't believe how well she is now counting and writing her name, she surprises us constantly with how much she has learnt. The outside play area is wonderful and the meals prepared by the kitchen put most restaurants to shame, both my children love the meals there.
This nursery is outstanding I can't believe you could find better.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old and she absolutely loves it! She made a very smooth transition from the baby unit to Tweenies. The staff have been very attentive towards her and always keep me well informed of her progress, whether in person or via Tapestry. My

Both my children have attended this nursery from 1yr to school age. I have never had cause to complain about anything really and my children have always been really happy there. They can sometimes be a little disorganised with personal belongings but this is not a major issue and staff turnover has
been high of late. However the staff deal with this really well and it has never affected my children.

Staff are all really friendly and amiable. My son absolutely loves the girls in the preschool and they have really taken the time to get to know him. Our favourite part of the nursery is the garden, which is what made us choose them in the first place. My son will be one of the younger school starters
this September and I feel that the preschool is doing an excellent job of getting him prepared by encouraging him to learn and be open minded. In the past when I have had minor concerns, I brought them to the preschool's attention and the issue was resolved promptly and effectively. Very pleased with Manor Lodge. Thumbs up all round!

Having used this nursery for both of my children I have always been very pleased with the level of care they have received. My youngest is now in pre-school and has attended since she was 13 months old, she is always happy to go to nursery in the morning and keen to tell stories of her day. The activities
completed during the day are varied in nature and there is a good mix of inside and outside play. Updates on my child's progress from the key worker is also good.

My Son started at Good Manors when he was 10 months old. I had never left him in the care of anybody outside my family until then.


I feel he has always been looked after well and the staff have always kept me informed of all the activities and information relating to him. The updates on Tapestry

have been great. He transitioned really well from Babies to Tweenies with great care from his key worker.


I feel confident and happy with all the staff and care at Good Manors and always recommend them to family and friends.

Good Manors at Manor Lodge is a really well-run nursery. The staff in Tweenies, where my son is currently being cared for are amazing. They are really friendly and they care so much for the children. What I love about the nursery is the big garden with plenty of things to do. This gives the nursery
the opportunity to allow the children plenty of time to play outside, which my son loves.

My daughter has attended Good Manors at Manor Lodge since September. As much as I am extremely happy with the way the nursery is run - with dedicated, happy and passionate staff, a high level of security to access the property, and their high standards for communication and planning - nothing compares
with the happiness that Charlotte obviously feels about going to nursery and spending time with the staff and her peers. Daily reassurance that I made the right choice in day care for my little girl.

My Daughter has been attending Good Manors for nearly a year since she was 1 year old. The difference between when she started and now is day and night she is so much more confident, happy and inquisitive. The staff are fantastic and always accommodating, welcoming and I couldn't praise them enough.
We have many more nurseries that are closer and cheaper but I wont even consider them. Second to none.

I think that Good Manors, Manor Lodge, well deserves the "outstanding" grade it achieved on its last Ofsted inspection. My son has been attending since the age of 21 months and is now 40 months. He settled very quickly and has transitioned from their "tweenies" room into pre-school. He simply loves
nursery days and is always excited at bedtime when he knows he can go to nursery the next day. All the staff I have met have been friendly and knowledgeable. They all seem to really enjoy working there, and I feel there is a low staff turnover, which I think speaks for them as an employer too. My son's current key worker is fabulous and makes him feel really special. He surprises me with all the words and activities he has learnt at nursery. Lovely range of activities are provided. They have started using the online tapestry system which really helps me feel part of his learning. My younger son is due to start in the next few months, and I know I am leaving him in competent hands.
