Queens Baby Nursery has been operating for many years and is part of a small group of nurseries in the heart of Buckhurst Hill high street.

Queens Baby Nursery specialises in care and support between the ages of three months and two years of age, within a safe and secure setting.

The nursery is graded Ofsted's highest award of outstanding (September 2018).

All staff members are first aid trained and the nursery has been awarded the Millie's Mark award.

The nursery follows the curiosity approach and a natural theme is followed throughout.

The rooms are divided by age and fully support babies in the stages of physical development supporting them to meet their milestones.

Friendly and experienced professionals keep families at the heart of their children's learning and work in partnership with parents as they share developmental observations, images and videos on a daily basis. Parents are often invited in for weekly sessions such as breakfast mornings and stay and play sessions. Communication is always key and parents are updated weekly with catch up emails, blog posts, Facebook page and newsletters.

The on-site nursery chef cooks a partly organic menu fresh each day which has been created with the support of a certified nutritionist. A three-week rotating menu ensures the children’s diet is varied and healthy every day the children attend. The nursery's long-serving chef cooks with the children daily as they help make tea and freshly baked bread for breakfast.

The nursery employs daily specialist teachers to support children in the earliest years. These include Yoga, Baby Ballet, Lingotots, Theatre Bugs and Tappy Toes. All teachers are fully referenced, police checked and are employed through accredited early years companies.

We viewed several nurseries before we decided upon queens baby nursery but once we had we knew this one was for us.
We loved that it was a nursery just for younger ones. We did struggle with my daughter at first as she didn't want to be left but Debbie and team allowed us to have some extra settling
in days to give us peace of mind. Zoe our key worker was brilliant with our daughter but all the team there do a fantastic job. Our daughter has now moved to queens nursery at the top of the road and has settled in very quickly. If you are thinking of using this nursery, you won't regret it.

I can't recommend Queen's Baby Nursery enough. The staff clearly care about the children and always have something fun planned for the kids. I sent both my children there and it was lovely seeing the bond they developed with the staff. I loved receiving daily updates on what my little one was up to
and the regular invites to events to come in and join in on the action. Thank you!!

As parents of twins, we were very nervous about them starting nursery and leaving our babies into someone's care once my wife went back to work after maternity leave.
However what a wonderful experience we have had with Queens Baby nursery; since they started here.
The staff are amazing, the care
and attention provided is outstanding and most definitley worthy of their Ofsted rating!
On every level, we have been very impressed with the team and our twins are now much more confident since starting here.
No hesitation to recommend this nursery for your precious babies!!

An amazing nursery with the most wonderful, caring and friendly staff. My little boy absolutely loves going into the nursery and he settled in so quickly. I felt completely at ease from his very first day and know that he's being cared for like he's one of their own, which means the absolute world.
His key worker, Ana goes above and beyond and we are so lucky to have her. The whole staff force are so friendly and genuinely care about all the children which is so lovely to see. Regular updates via the app, lots of opportunity for learning and a wonderful menu every week, I'm so happy our little boy goes here :)

I cannot thank this wonderful nursery enough for the care they provided to my baby. The staff are incredibly nurturing and made my child feel safe and loved every single day. The staff is what makes this place. So kind, caring and invested in the children's wellbeing and development. I sent my son here in 2022 and didn't hesitate for my daughter to follow in 2025. She is being looked after by the same staff - their enthusiasm and the level of care remains top notch.

Queens baby nursery is certainly an outstanding nursery and deserves the outstanding rating by Ofsted. Our eldest child attended the baby nursery and our youngest is currently there. We absolutely love the care and attention provided by all members of staff, it is clear to see the consistency amongst
each one of them. The manager is simply outstanding in herself, very supportive and caring, nothing is a problem. Our daughter loves being there, she 1.5, and in the mornings she is always excited to get through the doors. I don't think we can praise them enough.

My daughter attended Queens Baby Nursery from 13 months and she settled in wonderfully. She loves going to nursery and I have noticed her develop so many new skills since she started. The staff are so caring and loving to all the children and keep me informed with her activities, food, sleep, etc throughout
the day. They have so many creative themed lessons each week and have specialist teachers come in for baby yoga/drama classes, etc. It has really put my mind at ease knowing she is in fantastic hands while I'm at work. I'm very grateful to the nursery for giving my daughter the best start.

Absolutely amazing nursery. The staff are so lovely and caring, always happy to see you and your child. You get to know the staff really well and they stay the same, so lots of stability and low turnover. They also do extra activities like drama and yoga, and there's lots of weekly/daily themes like
road safety to keep the kids engaged and learning. We also really enjoy that they take videos of the kids doing things like a dance party so you can see real life at the nursery, and that they put on parent stay and play events for you to come in and spend time at the nursery. Definitely recommend.

We couldn't have wished for a better experience (for us and for our first child) at Queens Baby Nursery.
The staff were amazing and so caring, they clearly love and care for every child as an individual and it really put my mind at rest when our first baby was starting nursery. It was tough going back
to work after maternity leave and they were incredible during the settling in period and for his entire time there.
The updates via the app (photos, what's happening during his day, when he's eaten and slept) are so nice to have and regularly brightened up our day to see how happy our child was.
The manager was so helpful and reassuring and communication was very good from everybody.
We will be sending our second baby there because we trust them so much.

Our daughter attended Queens Baby Nursery from 11 months old and I could not recommend the nursery more. It is a fantastic place and has given her a great start. She settled really quickly and is always really pleased to go to nursery. She loves the staff and we have always found everyone to be so caring,
friendly and kind. We get lots of information, photos and feedback on how she is doing and we will be sad to say goodbye as our daughter is now almost two and too old to attend any longer.

It is clear to see once your child attends Queens Baby Nursery why it has been awarded outstanding by Ofsted. But locally, its reputation precedes it. Unfortunately I have experienced other nurseries in the area prior to my son attending Queens, and if I could go back and make my decision again I would
send my child to Queens every single time. When you drop your little one off, to when you pick them up, the warm and caring staff make you feel like your most precious asset is safe, which I can tell you from experience is such a relief. Not only that, they are well fed, and incredibly well stimulated with such a variety of activities. This nursery really does tick all the boxes and I am so thankful to all the staff who have been amazing.

My son was so sad to leave Queens Baby Nursery - and my daughter felt just the same two years prior!
The team are so warm and engaging with the children; they have a unique dedication to nurturing the early years.
I felt so at ease to see my children head into the nursery door each morning, and not
need to look back. It really is a home-from-home.
The manager and the whole team are like a second family to us. As a parent, I always felt supported, through developmental stages and important milestones like potty training.
I would (and do) highly recommend the ursery to new parents in the area.

Absolutely brilliant nursery! All of the staff are amazing, so helpful, patient and friendly. They took the time to reassure me as a mum when I was worried about my child settling in. They gave him so much love, care and confidence. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Queens Baby Nursery and I would highly
recommend it! The food is so nice too, lots of healthy options and variety. And they do lots of fun activities with the kids. I just wish he had been longer there so he could have had more fun! It's such a cute, homely nursery with a nice outdoor space. The key worker is an outstanding key worker, very dedicated and caring in her role. Always there to support the parents and family as well as the child. My son loves all of the staff a lot and made some friends and lots of good memories there too!

Debbie is an exceptional, experienced manager who gained her NNEB in 1984 and in May 2013 achieved an Early Years Professional Status. Debbie continued training and in July 2013 became a BA in Early Childhood Studies graduate. Debbie’s strong passion for working with children and supporting their development needs is exemplary. Debbie joined the team early in 2019. Debbie thoroughly enjoys supporting the children through their milestones, transition to Queens Nursery, reflecting on the practice within the rooms and being an outstanding role model to the team with her superb mentoring skills. Debbie ensures the nursery is running to an outstanding manner every day.
