A large and bright nursery in Chigwell

Situated in one of their client settings, Bright Horizons has partnered with the popular David Lloyd Leisure Club. Chigwell nursery welcomes all families in the area, and provides exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum.

A unique Ready for School programme fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

The children benefit with freeflow access to the garden, which gives them the chance to explore and extend their learning outdoors.

The nursery is next to a large nature reserve that the children make the most of in all seasons for nature discovery, walks and picnics.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My son loves going to nursery and has learnt a great deal by doing so. From singing songs to putting his own coat on, my 2 year old boy is has grown in confidence and looks forward to going to his nursery days every week.
The staff are very friendly and have invested a lot of time into getting to know
my son and how to get the best from him. They always give us excellent feedback at the end of each day, and have also phoned is on occasions to give more detail. Communication is excellent, as is the standard of the nursery.
Both indoors and outdoors are of a very high standard, and even with so many toys, they are always creating new and exciting tasks for the children to do, whether it's digging for worms in the garden, making paint footprints or baking cookies.
The cost of childcare always feels high to any working parent, but I feel it is worth every penny here.

With over 16 years of experience and with a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Ruhsan began her career as a nursery nurse and steadily progressed through various roles throughout the nurseries before becoming the Nursery Manager. For the past 6 years, in her position as a Nursery Manager, Rushan has showcased her dedication and expertise in the field. Having worked with Bright Horizons Shortlands and Bromley in 2009, Rushan joined the Chigwell team in January 2021.


With a deep-seated passion for delivering exceptional care and education, Rushan is committed to coaching, motivating, and supporting her team to achieve excellence. I have been with Bright Horizons since 2019 starting out as a senior nursery nurse at the Chigwell Valley Meadows setting. I quickly worked my way up to Third in Charge in 2020 and I have now recently taken on the role of Deputy Manager and setting SENCO here at our Chigwell setting.


I have 10 years’ experience working in the Early Years sector where I started in 2012 whilst I undertook my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies, I then progressed onto further studies embarking on a Master's in Early Childhood Education. I am extremely passionate about supporting children’s learning and development through the early years.
