A large and bright nursery in Chigwell

Situated in one of their client settings, Bright Horizons has partnered with the popular David Lloyd Leisure Club. Chigwell nursery welcomes all families in the area, and provides exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum.

A unique Ready for School programme fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

The children benefit with freeflow access to the garden, which gives them the chance to explore and extend their learning outdoors.

The nursery is next to a large nature reserve that the children make the most of in all seasons for nature discovery, walks and picnics.

Safety is their number one priority. All practitioners are First Aid trained and all nurseries have specialist SEND staff for children who require additional support due to special educational needs.

This is a terrific nursery. Both of my children attend, and they are always engaged in interesting, fun activities in a nurturing environment. The staff are well trained and friendly, the management team are extremely approachable, and the communication with parents is very good. The facilities are
great - plenty of indoor space, air conditioning, a good range of toys and activities always available... with the main selling point being their incredible outdoor space, including a range of play areas, a vegetable garden and football field, perfect for keeping our energetic children happy. As an added bonus they run a holiday and after-school club for older children. I trust them implicitly with my children and would highly recommend this nursery to any prospective family.

Our son started the nursery when he was 7 months old and left when he was almost 4. Throughout his journey at the nursery he spent time in each of the rooms, with all the different staff and at each stage was extremely happy and excellently cared for. He enjoyed going to nursery every day, so much
so that when I went on maternity leave with our second child I still kept him there full time so that I knew he was occupied all day and kept happy. He particularly loved all the extra activities on offer such as yoga, football, French and all the time they had in the fabulous garden growing vegetables, having teddy bear picnics and such like.


As a parent it was so reassuring to know he was dropped off somewhere where he was happy to be and where everyone knew his name and he knew theirs. The owners always had so much time, knew all the kids and parents well whilst running a good, tight ship. I would highly recommend the nursery and be sending our daughters there.

My 2 children have attended this nursery since they were 6 months and it's been a pleasure to see them both thrive here. The staff are caring and nurturing and it's amazing what my kids have learnt through play. My son loves the extra curriculum activities (my daughter is now at school) such as Football
& Click It. The latter being a computer course that teaches kids to use a computer and mouse as well as developing their understanding of colours, shapes etc. The outdoor space is fab and it includes a flower and vegetable patch. 2016 saw the children follow the life cycle of a chicken from the eggs hatching, to the chicks growing into chickens.
The food is prepared on site and sounds tasty. I don't think in 3 years my son has ever just had one portion!
When it comes to potty training, staff work with you to help ensure that there is continuity and prior to leaving for school, the staff work hard to ensure your child knows what to expect. I'm REALLY pleased with every aspect of this nursery.

My son has attended Bright Horizons Chigwell Nursery since he was 12 months old. Over the years, he has really thrived at the nursery and will be shortly leaving the nursery to start big school as a confident young boy. My 4 month old is also registered to start at the nursery when I go back to work.
The staff are really brilliant with the children and keep them entertained with a wide range of activities. The management are great and listen to any concerns that we might have. One of the best features of the nursery is the outdoor space and they often do things like growing their own vegetables, which the kids love.
I have recommended this nursery to friends of mine and would definitely recommend Bright Horizons Chigwell to anybody looking for a nursery for their little ones.

Delightful nursery and pre-school with outstanding facilities and grounds, and caring and dedicated staff. Both our children started out in the baby room and have developed into social, independent and confident individuals, having benefited from the environment created by the staff, curriculum and

My son recently “graduated” from the nursery and my daughter is scheduled to “graduate” next year. When we were looking for a nursery for our son, the main things that attracted us to this nursery, was the purpose built building, vast open spaces and very friendly staff.


The facilities are very

good, the food is great (fresh food and varied menus) and it is clear that the staff take great pride in their jobs and looking after the children.


When the children leave the nursery to attend school, there is a “graduation” ceremony which is a wonderful event for them.


Would happily recommend this nursery to any parent.

My daughter attended the nursery from the age of 18 months until she started school. I was always happy with the care at the nursery and the facilities. Although my daughter took a while to settle her key workers were very patient and worked at making her happy.
My son who is now two also attends the
nursery and has done since he was 9 months old. One of the standout things for me in comparison to some other nurseries in the area is the outdoor space they have. In the summer the children get to play on the field and spend time in the garden which really appealed to me.

I can only say our experience has been nothing but positive since he started and from his first class (he was 1 yr old) up until pre-school where he is now!! You are actually made to feel like the teacher only looks after your child, as they are just brilliant, attentive and really caring!
I can also
honestly say, the management at Eton Manor is second to none and currently in my opinion is the best there has been since he started; the manager and his team are just excellent and you are always greeted with a smile and friendly face every time you walk in! They are super organised, extremely informative and clearly work super hard to keep the nursery operating at the highest standards...which they do!
I will be sad (as will my son) to not be part of the nursery by August (as he starts school). Facilities and education are great and they have the extra bonus of having such a lovely space and a beautiful outside environment).

Very family orientated and accommodating, will go the extra mile to ensure that your child gets the best possible care.
I love the extra curriculum activities such as stretch & grow, football and french.
Food served is always fresh and healthy again accommodating where possible.
Staff are upbeat,

My son (aged 4) has been at Chigwell Nursery since he was 2. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff & management. They are incredibly efficient, ensuring the children are safe, well looked after and kept happy and occupied with all sorts of different activities.
My son is now in their After
School Club. They pick him up from school and take him back to the nursery where he has his afternoon meal, plays & the staff take the time to help him with his reading and writing.
I have never once been let down by them and when my plans have changed at short notice they have always accommodated (this is one aspect of this nursery that I have been incredibly impressed by). The setting is beautiful with lots of outside space which the staff use to its full potential. Without exception the nursery staff are friendly and completely switched on to the needs of the children. I do not normally take the time to write reviews but I do feel compelled to say what a wonderful, happy nursery this is.

Beautiful nursery and friendly staff. Both my 2 children have been apart of this nursery, my youngest daughter is stilll there and she loves it. I have no worries leaving her in there hands as they do a fantastic job.


Would definitely recommend this to any parent looking for daycare, it really is

My son has been coming here since he was a year old and is now 2 he has developed and progressed so well. He has been looked after and cared for extremely well in the baby room and in Turtles and has now settled into his new room. All the staff there are knowledgeable and put great care into and effort

My daughter has been attending this nursery for nearly a year now and she has come on in leaps and bounds. Not a day goes by when she doesn't tell us something great about nursery. I work full time so to know my daughter is happy, well cared for, allowed to explore & be creative is just one less thing
for me to worry about. We can't fault the staff & their commitment to her fun and development. She loves it at BH Chigwell.

We have two children at the nursery and we would highly recommend Chigwell Day Nursery. The nursery is managed in an efficient, caring manner with the children at the core of every decision. It is a huge step to trust your children with people you do not know, but the expertise the Chigwell Day Nursery
staff demonstrate will set any new parent at ease. The outside space is a huge benefit especially in the summer months, and the communication between the staff and parents is very clear and the management always take time to listen to any concerns or worries a parent may have.

My daughter has attended Bright Horizons Chigwell for just over a year and I can highly recommend the nursery.


The management is very welcoming and experienced. They reassured me when my daughter was settling into the nursery which helped the process.


Every child is assigned a key worker but

all staff take an interest which makes me feel reassured that my daughter is in safe hands. They support her growth and development whilst keeping me informed along the way.


The nursery offers great facilities and the outdoor space is excellent.

Bright Horizons Chigwell offers a superb day facility for children, staff are welcoming and very experienced, with many of the team at the highest level in their qualification journey. For parents, more importantly, your child and their needs are met on an individual basis, and my children formed very
close bonds with all the staff they have encountered in the nursery. All activities are met with an enthusiastic approach, and the children have a great time exploring their environment through play, in lots of different ways. Their outdoor space it great, age specific gardens, together with great grounds where the older children can explore at a more in-depth level. The children have an outdoor classroom.


After a recent refurbishment, the children can enjoy their own cooking room, they classrooms are great equipment, access to ICT (at the right level for their age).


Each age group has an enriching environment to foster learning and growth.

My son has been at the nursery since he was 11 months old. They have supported his learning and development and he is growing into a confident and happy boy. He is well supported and they are focusing on phonetics now to support him moving into school this year, They have also taken the time to put
on a class for us parents who needed the support learning this to continue the growth when they are not in the nursery. A great idea that was well received.
The extra curricula lessons are great too. My son loves the football class that is run there, but his favorite is ClickIT, a computer lesson that supports him using a mouse and computer in a fun and simple way.
My son absolutely loves his days there and always gives me a great update about what he has done from painting, going on the library bus to what he ate. Thank you to the staff, as they have made the whole experience of leaving my son much easier. Highly recommended.

Eton Manor (Bright Horizon's) is a fantastic nursery and I couldn't recommend it highly enough! Our son attends two days a week since the age of 6 months which was young for me, but from the off the nursery took such good care of him that they have my full trust and I can go to work without worrying
and I'm confident he is well looked after.

With over 16 years of experience and with a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Ruhsan began her career as a nursery nurse and steadily progressed through various roles throughout the nurseries before becoming the Nursery Manager. For the past 6 years, in her position as a Nursery Manager, Rushan has showcased her dedication and expertise in the field. Having worked with Bright Horizons Shortlands and Bromley in 2009, Rushan joined the Chigwell team in January 2021.


With a deep-seated passion for delivering exceptional care and education, Rushan is committed to coaching, motivating, and supporting her team to achieve excellence. I have been with Bright Horizons since 2019 starting out as a senior nursery nurse at the Chigwell Valley Meadows setting. I quickly worked my way up to Third in Charge in 2020 and I have now recently taken on the role of Deputy Manager and setting SENCO here at our Chigwell setting.


I have 10 years’ experience working in the Early Years sector where I started in 2012 whilst I undertook my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies, I then progressed onto further studies embarking on a Master's in Early Childhood Education. I am extremely passionate about supporting children’s learning and development through the early years.
