Kindred Mayflower encourages creativity and hands-on learning within a thoughtfully designed, purpose-built nursery, complete with spacious rooms for children to explore and develop.

A standout feature is the children’s kitchen, where little ones can build key motor skills through real-life activities such as cutting, scooping, and stirring. This experience is enhanced by the nursery’s on-site allotment, where children grow and harvest fresh produce to use in their cooking. In addition, the...

Since the day my son started, he has been made to feel welcome and comfortable, he has loved going every day. It’s an excellent nursery with lovely staff who go out of their way to keep you updated on your child’s day and the new things they have learnt. Every day has different activities which are well planned, educational and most importantly fun.

It’s a lovely nursery, which is clean and suitable for the children, the recent changes are really good. Overall it’s a fun and safe environment for my child and I’m grateful to all at Dizzy Ducks who have made leaving my child so much easier.

100% recommend Dizzy Ducks at Mayflower.
Both my children attend this nursery and I have never had a bad word to say about them since they started there September 2018.

The staff are all lovely, smiley, happy people who make both parents and children feel welcome and comfortable. Very happy with the constant updates on both how my children are doing throughout their day and what's happening throughout the week when they are not there.

My daughter has been attending Mayflower since she was 5 months. Initially my preference was for a smaller nursery were I believed she would get more care and attention. I've been proved wrong! My daughter has been given all the love, care and attention that I would ever have hoped for. Leaving your child with someone else, trusting that they will look after your child in a satisfactory manner is something parents struggle with. I leave my daughter at the nursery knowing that she'll be looked after by people who have a genuine care for children, this gives me complete peace of mind. Any enquiries I have is dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.
My daughter has progressed from room to room, learning new skills along the way, equipping her for when she finally leaves for big school in September.
It would be good to see staff from other ethnicities which reflects the diversity of children they cater for.

Well done! We appreciate your care!

My daughter first started at Dizzy Ducks Mayflower when she was 9 months old. She started with one morning a week then went for a whole day. The plan was to stick to one day a week but she loved it so much we increased to two days.

I was always adamant that my child would not go to nursery but how wrong I was. It is an amazing experience for her and she loves her days at Dizzy Ducks so much that she was sat at our front door with her coat and nursery bag on bank holiday Monday! The staff are brilliant. They all know her name and are able to give a detailed update of her day when I pick her up. I often see her having cuddles when I peek through the door to collect her.

The best things about DD Mayflower are:
Dedicated rooms for certain age groups
Sleeping rooms that are dark and quiet - my daughter naps brilliantly at nursery
A varied freshly cooked menu throughout the day
2 gardens (1 for older children, 1 for younger)
The lovely staff

After we moved house I was very anxious in finding a new nursery from my youngest. I worried for nothing. My daughter is incredibly happy in Dizzy Ducks! The staff are always there to give her a cuddle and breakfast when she arrives. Everyone is lively and fully interacting with the children. My daughter always comes home with happy stories of her day.

My daughter is part of the baby group 1 day a week. I'm still amazed that, although she has a key worker who she loves and has bonded well with, all of the girls know her name from all parts of the nursery and welcome her with open arms. The team are happy to receive calls and give time at the pick up to explain how her day has been, what she's been up and and what she's eaten. The online daily log is great to see and also add comments.

My two children have been at Dizzy Ducks since they were 9 months old and I couldn't ask for a more caring, supportive yet challenging environment for them. Right from when they were babies they have been loved and supported in their development. Whilst the care has always been first rate and the opportunities they have had outstanding, the real value in my opinion was the year before school. In a small group (compared to some other preschools) my son was given first rate preparation for his transition to school. I have recently given up work and no longer need the same extent of childcare for my daughter but have made the decision to remain with Dizzy Ducks so that she can have the same excellent preschool environment as my son.

Dizzy ducks Mayflower has cared for both of my children, my daughter left last year to start school and thanks to dizzy ducks she was very prepared for this and has settled in extremely well. When looking to start my son in nursery I was very happy for him to start in the same setting and they have been brilliant when it comes to additional needs. When he started he was requiring several different medications daily and a special diet and they have good plans in place for allowing this. The kitchen and meals have evolved a lot over the time here and they cope brilliantly with a wide range of different dietary needs from different children and stock lots of alternatives so that children do not miss out on what their friends are having. I will be sad to leave Dizzy entirely when it is time for my son to start school but feel they will have prepared him well.

Hello, I'm Georgia, and I have worked in childcare since 2013.

I started at the age of 16 as an apprentice and soon completed my Level 2 and Level 3 in Early Years. I progressed further in my career into a Room Leader role and then stepped up into management, taking on the role of Deputy Manager and now Nursery Manager.
