Bright Horizons Basildon Day Nursery and Preschool is situated in the popular David Lloyd Leisure Club behind Festival Leisure Park.

The nursery is all-inclusive offering parents the opportunity not to worry about meals, nappies, wipes or creams as these are included in the monthly fees.

The rooms are bright and large and provide for a comfortable and fun learning environment. With the amazing location of the nursery, children are able to join the extra-curricular activities such as swimming and tennis lessons and have use of a dance studio and a soft-play area.

The nursery has six spacious and bright rooms which display the children’s artwork. Rooms are divided by age and activities for specific groups are set out daily. Independence is always promoted to enhance children's development and confidence.

The baby room contains different areas including painting easels and sand and a quiet cosy area for cuddles and stories.

My son started in September 2022. He was a looked-after child then and we adopted him in March 2023. Bright Horizons have been supportive of his needs all the way and helped us as newly adoptive parents. We have found the staff to be friendly and approachable.
He has excelled in his speech and language
skills since starting at Bright Horizons. He has gone from saying a few words to using longer ones and saying complex sentences. He has learnt the alphabet and months of the year. He is getting better and writing his name.
He can count up to 20 and knows lots of new shapes and colours since being at nursery. He is familiar with symmetry.
He has gained better gross and fine motor skills. He has made lots of friends, including two best friends.
We would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication over the past year.

My daughter receives excellent care from all staff at the nursery. She comes home telling us about different activities she did during the day. Her development has really improved along with her speech and I feel that is down to the staff interactions and the play-based learning that they provide. Moreover,
I am always kept up to date with her day to day activities. It has been such a pleasure watching her grow into a confident and capable child. A big thank you for all your hard work in supporting my daughter.

We have had an amazing experience with the nursery. The staff really go that extra mile to make sure my son settled in really well. As a first-time mum, I was really nervous about sending my son to nursery, however, the care and attention he receives when he goes to nursery puts my mind at ease. The
staff are so attentive and caring, especially one member of staff in the baby room. Another member of staff in particular has been amazing. As a parent, knowing your child is being taken care of well is so important. Bright Horizons at Basildon will give that! My son is very happy here.

We are very pleased with the nursery. Our son really enjoys coming to nursery and always tells us about his friends and what he has been up to. He always comes home in the best mood and often repeats what he has learned that day, like colours and front and back. On the odd occasion, he has been upset
or ill, it has been dealt with so well and always makes me comfortable to leave him here. He is learning so much and is so happy, so thank you all.

Both my sons attended Basildon Day Nursery and Preschool and I must say they are the most caring team. Three members of staff, in particular, made a massive impact towards my children's development. They are now the most confident boys and always feel safe around them. I will certainly recommend anyone

My son has been attending the nursery since 13 months of age.
My once very timid and shy baby has now settled so well. He absolutely loves it there, he has grown so much and I can also spot his development in all areas, especially in his cognitive development.

My eldest has been attending Basildon Day Nursery for four years and my youngest for over five months, and they absolutely love it there. The staff are very friendly and caring. The support they provide is just outstanding. Both my boys have developed so much since attending Basildon Day Nursery, they
ensure that they do progress and provide feedback on their development every day which I found very useful. I have never had to worry about anything once my boys are there which is particularly handy for a working mum. I definitely would recommend Basildon Day Nursery as they do look after the kids as if it were their own.

My daughter has attended Basildon Nursery since nine months old. She attends four days a week and has such a range of activities every day, she comes home telling me something new each day. She has always been very well looked after and cared for, I can’t thank the staff enough. She comes home so happy
and worn out and can’t stop talking about the ladies that look after her. You do an amazing job and I know she is safe in your care, I have never had any concerns. The nursery has also been a great support through changes to a hub nursery during COVID. The staff in her room have been great with supporting her with her next big step potty training and with their support we managed to do this within a month. I would recommend this nursery to others and know the care my daughter receives is amazing.

We are so happy that we chose Bright Horizons Basildon Nursery for our daughter to attend, for the past 3 years. The level of care that is provided by the carers/staff at Bright Horizons is beyond exceptional. I have seen firsthand the way that they make every effort to make sure that each child is
happy and thriving in their development. Our daughter has grown so much through creative play and a multitude of activities that are available to her. They make it their priority to treat the children who attend the nursery with kindness and consideration. And show love in a way that is apparent, in our daughter's eagerness to go back each day for another fun and education-filled day. I love their food options as there is a lot of variety and a chance for children to explore various textures and tastes. What stands out for me the most, is that the staff here don't hesitate when a parent has a question or to give feedback. Each one of them is excellent at their job.

We have been so impressed with the care and dedication of the staff at the nursery. Throughout lockdowns and everything this past year they have always looked after our son with the greatest care and his development there has been fantastic. They are always cheerful at the end of the day and willing
to answer my questions, giving ideas on how to further help my son's development. Their new menu over three weeks has some very interesting sounding things in and they've encouraged our son to try things he doesn't normally with some success.
They have been so adaptable, positive and hardworking and we'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Came to a welcome to preschool meeting about getting ready for school. A very informative evening. Encouraged and reassured that my child is cared for and pushed. He has recently moved into the preschool room and he has developed very quickly - improved vocabulary and penmanship.

All the parents in the pre-school room were invited to the talent show which was lovely to see my daughter and her friends perform.
