This nursery is fabulous. It is spacious and has amazing outdoor facilities that our daughter thrives in.

The staff are exceptional and a credit to the nursery management.

Our daughter is always very happy to leave home in the morning and head off to see her friends and favourite adults!

The management team are responsive to any concerns, questions or queries and always act upon concerns.

The manager is there first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening. She is always responsive to parents and the children’s needs. Admirable dedication.

Brilliant nursery, very happy I have sent my daughter here. I feel she is in safe hands. She loves nursery especially the garden and always comes home saying she ‘played in the garden at nursery’ she has bonded with the staff and children, and on her days off at home she is usually asking for the staff and the other children. Silchester Manor Day Nursery have again been fantastic in the care of my daughter; recognising she is now ready to move up to the older class, ingratiating her slowly into the older class so it’s not scary, coaxing and helping her along the way, and generally nurturing her so she feels very comfortable with the transition. The nursery offers great outdoor space along with large playrooms that enable the children to explore and interact in a happy environment and I’m pleased to say, rooms that do not smell of soiled nappies, which for me was impressive as a lot of nurseries I had looked at beforehand did. The staff are very friendly and helpful, along with the management which makes the whole experience of dealing with the nursery a pleasure.

The staff are all very lovely. The manager is so helpful. The service provided here is by far the best we have received out of the three nurseries my son has previously attended. I was really wary of having to move him again but he really seems to enjoy it! Overall a nice environment with really nice people.

We moved to the area and had to settle our daughter into Silchester Manor Day Nursery! The staff made the transition so much easier. They were so in tune to the worries that we had but they made us feel at ease. I'm so happy with how our daughter is settling in and we look forward to seeing her development and progress in her time there. Two members of the team are particularly amazing!

We've had two daughters attend Silchester Manor Day Nursery since 2015. One has just left the preschool room for reception and the other is now joining the 2-3's room. When visiting, the facilities and open space is what struck us first and foremost. Since then, both girls have thrived under the care of the staff and have been settled. At times the staff turnover has been worrying resulting in many familiar faces leaving all at once. However, my girls have warmed to their key workers who have built trust and confidence in them. Staff understanding of the children's individual characters and nature is clear to see and when presented with my daughter's Tapestry, the level of observation was outstanding - thank you!

My son has been going to Silchester Manor Day Nursery for two years now and he loves it! He always comes home with exciting stories about his day and can't wait to come in every day. The staff are all friendly and all so helpful.

When my daughter first started this nursery, I was worried how she would be but when I saw my daughter, she did improve day by day. It makes me happy and it makes my daughter happy and confident. This nursery has more space to play, especially in the outside garden. Myself and my daughter are both happy to be at this nursery.

My son has been attending the Silchester Manor Day Nursery since he was nine months old. He is now three and a half. We have always been pleased with his progress and the good care this nursery's staff has always provided. I would highly recommend it.

The nursery has plenty of space, including a big garden which was why I chose the nursery. Both of my children have developed some good relationships with key workers and other staff and generally have fun. But it feels as if the nursery could do much more. The premises needs investment - the car park is dangerously dark in winter; in the summer the pre-school room is unbearably hot. Staff turnover seems quite high and I feel that even though ratios are maintained, the kids are left to do their own thing, especially in the pre-school room. I think they would benefit by working more collaboratively with the parents. I would recommend aprons for painting and more school-like activities in preparation for pre-school.

When my son first started he wasn't the easiest, wouldn't eat, wouldn't listen. All the teachers in his class have my respect for the good change in him. He has learnt a lot and they are very helpful and understanding people.

The children are settled and they enjoy their time here. We can see they have learned a great deal. Staff are great with them.

Our daughter loves Silchester Manor. She is always so excited to come and see not just her friends, but the staff, who are so lovely also. She has learnt so much since starting in late January and we can see an evolution in her playtimes at home that she has learnt here.

Both my children have attended Silchester Manor and I couldn't have asked for more from a nursery. My son is now in school and my daughter attends pre-school at Silchester. The staff are the best around and brilliant with the children and families. Helping with education and fun as well as guiding with concerns and worries.

Social aspects, great care, management and unbelievable outdoor space have made it a great place for both to make friends and learn and grow ready for school. Thank you.

Finally, I think that the building and interior can do with a little maintenance as it appears run down.
