I absolutely love seeing what he does throughout the day and love reading the observations that get sent home, but also like that you get a personal feedback when you come and collect too.
The nursery is very clean, the toys are always set up ready for the day and my son eats better at nursery than he does at home, the staff are always telling me how well he’s eaten!
After looking around numerous nurseries, we are delighted that we chose Kingsclere Day Nursery. Our child started at just over 12 months and we were typically nervous parents when dropping her off for the first time, however, she quickly adapted to nursery life and absolutely loves going to nursery. There are an incredibly wide variety of activities and the children get some fresh air every day. Her speech and motor skills have come on considerably better than similarly aged, non-nursery attending children. The children eat a healthy selection of food and the updates during the day are extremely reassuring. All the staff are very knowledgeable and supportive. The nursery is so well run and we are so glad we decided to send our daughter here.
Kingsclere is a very welcoming, nurturing and professional nursery. The stable and supportive staff team who cannot do more to support our son. Kingsclere has a small, nurturing and stimulating environment with lots of varied, yet structured activities, which have helped him to thrive. He loves it and after having a few tears in the first few weeks, he now does not look back and settles straight down at the breakfast table. The Parents Zone app is a great resource to keep updated on the day's activities and keeps me in touch with his progress. I would fully recommend this nursery.
I have been impressed at how his language and numeracy have developed.
The ParentZone app is great and it was particularly helpful and reassuring in the first couple of months while our son was settling in.
Thank you for your feedback, which will be passed on to the Kingsclere team. I know they will be delighted to hear their work is well recognised and appreciated.
Could not have wished for a better and more supportive environment for him.
He is a confident, happy and curious child.
This nursery has given him an excellent foundation for his school career and beyond.
Thank you for your kind feedback, I will make sure the Kingsclere team receives it.
Overall excellent. We could not be more happy with our choice of Kingsclere as our son's nursery. Both in the general curriculum, staff and communications, as well as personal conversations and the ability/willingness of the nursery to adapt to our son's individual needs, Kingsclere has exceeded any expectations in all areas.
Thank you so much for your feedback which I know will be well received by the Kingsclere team.
I love this nursery, my middle child attended here. I loved everything about the place, from the homely feeling of the children putting on their slippers from the moment they arrive, the warm meals all day and activities throughout the week.
I have come back with my third child. She has medical problems which the nursery have been so accommodating with and I feel at ease that she is being well looked after.
If you wanted a home from home nursery, this is the place to send your child knowing they are being looked after and cared for well if you need to work or to encourage and help your child's development.
Many thanks for your feedback, which I will pass on to the Kingsclere team. I know they will be very touched to know their work is this highly regarded by you.
We chose Kingsclere over other similar spec local nurseries as it felt like home from home (well it is a converted house!) and we weren't disappointed. The staff are all friendly and the children are all happy, they do so much with the children, much more variety and structured learning, play and ideas than I could ever think of!
The facilities and activities are great, from a vast amount of crazy art work to forest school in the bottom garden, playing outdoors on the back driveway and on the covered decking in all weather - they go outside every day.
They teach phonics daily, which helped our son prepare for school and our daughter (who has another year at nursery) now loves reading and writing and helping her brother with his school learning.
I feel confident when dropping off every morning that my children were and are left in a safe and caring environment. I have recommended Kingsclere to friends.
Thank you so much for your kind words about the great team at Kingsclere. We are particularly pleased that our work on phonics and BLAST seem to make such an impact. Your feedback will be very well received by our team.
My son charges into nursery every day and he is greeted by a member of staff who either cuddles him or asks him how he is and takes him off to get breakfast. I leave each morning safe in the knowledge that he is cared for lovingly, and due to the size of the nursery all of the ladies there know him and he is familiar with all of them.
The varied meal plans, the attention to detail on creativity, movement, imagination is better than I could have ever expected. My son comes out with the most hilarious little things he has picked up whilst there, and never ceases to amaze me. In the airport recently he announced 'look that's C for my name' and I certainly didn't teach him that.
I have a confident, well behaved and happy little boy and I honestly give at least half the credit to this wonderfully run small family nursery.
I don't usually leave negative reviews but I feel it's important having seen the difference in my son before, during and after attending Kingsclere.
He has been attending nursery since he was 8 months and absolutely loved it, he's very easy-going. We moved house and decided to send him to Kingsclere.
My son went from loving nursery to crying on the way there and ending up in a kicking, screaming fit when we arrived. We ended up taking him out of Kingsclere even though we had already paid for the month. He is now at a different nursery and asking to go every day and saying how fun it is.
From my point of view, the staff I dealt with were lacking in warmth and enthusiasm. They are very efficient but personally, I would prefer a friendly chat with a staff member at the door then impersonal app updates.
You can tell it's a chain nursery. They're not doing forest school because the teacher is too busy learning how to make the nursery outstanding. They don't do cooking.
Dear Kate, I am very sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and your son's experience at the nursery. Kingsclere has earned a fantastic reputation for their childcare and service, so to hear that this has not been the case in your experience is a concern to me. If you would be so kind as to...
Kingsclere is a fantastic little nursery that offers excellent and very intimate care. We have had both of our children here from just under a year old until leaving to start school and have been very impressed with the care, support and education given to our children by the team here every step of the way.
Our youngest is due to start school this year and we will be very sad to say goodbye to everyone at Kingsclere.
My daughter has been at Kingsclere nursery now for 4 months and in that time staff have made her very welcome and she is well settled. I've noticed since being at the nursery her speaking and use of cutlery have improved so much and she is thriving. She talks about the staff and always seems happy when talking about her day. Having used childminders up until now I was worried about the change but this hasn't been a problem and that's down to the hard work of the staff. Thank you
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, it is scary looking for somewhere to hand your baby over to, but from the minute we first visited Kingsclere we knew it was the right place. Thank you!
The team at Kingsclere are all lovely and my son loves going to the nursery. We have used Kingsclere since my son was one and is now only there for 15 funded hours given to 3 days. However, the company themselves comes across very greedy! To only allow funded full hours on Monday and Fridays, guarantees them income on bank holidays because you still need to pay for the non funded hours in the day. In my opinion, to prepare a child for school, surely consecutive days would be more beneficial for them? Lastly, to put all holidays in a school year together only benefits yourselves, because it forces parents to buy days within that month because no one can take a month off work with summer holidays around the corner.
One of the best decisions we made was to send our son to Kingsclere. The staff are very caring and attentive. They provide excellent learning activities such as phonics as well as regular French lessons. Since attending Kingsclere when he turned 3 (5 months ago) my son has achieved so much - he can count to 20 in English & French, he can spell and attempts to write his name, he is nearly potty trained (largely thanks to his key-worker!), he is more confident socially and in using his imagination and - a big one for us - he tries and eats a much wider variety of food! At home he is fussy, however at nursery he readily wolfs down the food which is freshly prepared and the menu regularly updated. Kingsclere is a fun nursery - they always have themed days for the children to celebrate occasions, holidays, raise money for charity etc. Kingsclere has a huge garden with different play areas/outside toys which guarantees my son will be outside at least once a day, ready for bed when he gets home :)
Having joined the nursery recently we found the manager and the team very easily accessible, helpful, considerate, caring, professional, diligent, resourceful, respectful, efficient and above all knowledgeable. We are seeing a great improvement in our child's development, in a number of areas. We just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work.
Cosy, homely little nursery with lovely friendly staff, loads of equipment/toys/craft materials for the children to explore, outside space that is regularly used, and varied menus. My little one seems to thoroughly enjoy it and has tried (and liked) all sorts of exciting food. The fact you don't need to provide snacks, nappies, wipes etc. is very convenient.
My daughter is 21 months and loves going to nursery. The staff are all lovely. My daughter is always excited to be going to nursery in the morning and enjoys all the activities they do. The food menus are varied and she gets to try lots of different foods. She often comes home singing the songs they have been singing at nursery that day.
My 2 boys have been extremely happy there over the past few years. I feel like Kingsclere really, really know your child as if they were their own. The nursery has a very homely feel, just like a big family. I just couldn't ask for more as a parent.
