Our son joined the nursery when he turned one. He loves the nursery staff and runs in each morning to see them. There’s a fantastic outdoor space for them to play in and he is outside every day which I like. His language and numerical skills have come on so quickly and this is down to the one on one
care and attention he receives and the focus they put on learning. We couldn’t be happier with the nursery, nursery manager and staff.

I have had both my boys come through Kingsclere. The team has been fab at helping my second little boy settle in. Having spent lockdown with only immediate family for the first 10 months of his life, I was worried we would have trouble settling him in. The girls were all fabulous, flexible, and as accommodating
as the current restrictions allowed. You put our minds at rest and our little boy loves spending his time with you all! Thank you so much.

My daughter started going to Kingsclere in September 2020 (age 3). I am glad we chose Kingsclere as everyone is friendly and professional and my daughter enjoys going there to spend time with both her new friends and the teachers. The transition from home setting to 3 full days was a lot to take in
at first, but thanks to the friendly environment and all the activities kids do, it didn’t take long for my little one to settle in and soon started looking forward to spending the time with her friends while mummy is at work. I like the daily updates on ParentZone and see what she was up to, what meals she had etc. I honestly couldn’t be happier with Kingsclere and would definitely recommend to all.

My daughter is 2.5 and been attending Kingsclere since she was 1. We viewed 3 nurseries and chose Kingsclere as I loved the setting; I liked that it was small and not overcrowded and the fact that during the viewing any potential question I had was already answered in the thorough show around. Also,
all staff were so welcoming and friendly saying hello to us both. Something that I didn't notice elsewhere.
My daughter enjoys herself so much at nursery. She runs in with excitement which is so encouraging. She waves at it when we drive past, she talks about the children and her key worker. We’re really happy with her development and will continue to keep her there until she's ready for school. Thank you.

Such a beautiful place! From the nursery staff to the location and facilities at Kingsclere, it’s perfect. My son started when he was just 2 years old and I’ve watched him develop and grow into the perfect little 4 year old he is today. That’s the biggest thanks to the ladies in this nursery for sure.
Would 100% recommend!

Well I looked at 3 nurseries and as every mother knows it is so important to choose the right one; after spending a year with your new bubba the thought of leaving them with complete strangers and returning to work fills you with dread! I love the fact that Kingsclere Day Nursery is such a small nursery,
it feels as though it is its own family (with lots of children). I think the ratio of children to keyworker is important so they can have the interaction they need. I have always felt very welcome by staff members at Kingsclere and should I have any worries, I am more than comfortable in speaking with the managers with no hesitations. Any concerns I may have are nipped in the bud early which is comforting to know.

The parent portal is fantastic so I can see what he has been up to for the day. My son speaks volumes for Kingsclere, as on his days away he asks to go, which makes me happy knowing that I chose the right one for him. Thank you to all the Staff, especially during these tough times

I am a first-time mummy who sent her boy to nursery just after the first lockdown in June. It was a difficult time for induction but the team have been excellent. Within a couple of weeks, he had settled down and built relationships. I get updates every day on his eating, learning and sleeping. It gives
you great peace of mind and I love being updated during the day. It makes me smile. The updates are very personal and not just a generic message. I have found all their communications really personal and individual. He has really developed since going to nursery and I can see a big difference in him. I am very happy with the nursery! I would definitely recommend it.

From the moment I walked in to look around Kingsclere I knew it was the right place for my son to attend. It has a lovely ethos and all the staff spend a lot of time getting to know the children and making sure they have all the support and care they need. They care for them as if they were their own.
Thank you.

We have been so pleased with Kingsclere for the past 3 years my son has been attending. The staff have been absolutely amazing and faultless. The nursery is always clean, organised and engaging. My son has been so happy there and always walks in with a spring in his step. Going back to work and putting
him in nursery was such an anxious time for me but Kingsclere made it a breeze. We will miss Kingsclere very much.

A really good nursery with a family feel in a homely set up run by a team that really care.
My daughter has worked her way through nearly all the stages and has formed close bonds with all the staff but especially close ones with her key workers. She made great friends and at Kingsclere, her development
has come on leaps and bounds from her first step to creating and general development we've been very happy. The onsite management team are great, they go out of their way to engage with parents. Giving feedback to deliver a great service for our children. I would highly recommend.

Our son has been at this nursery for a year, and we have been very happy with the care, development and fun provided to him by the nursery. The nursery staff could not be more willing to help us and him, and with the updates on what they have been up to at the end of the day and via the ParentZone app
we always feel very confident. Thank you to the team for everything we do and we are very much looking forward to him continuing to attend in the coming years.

It's always a hard decision trying to work out who to leave your baby to especially if she has a food allergy. Honestly, from the first time I entered the nursery I felt - yes that's the one. They were very confident to deal with kids with allergies and that was really important for me. All the staff
at Kingsclere have been friendly, welcoming, and fun with my daughter, they are amazing. I have daily updates and photos of her during the day, so I know she is happy there. I am so grateful she is a member of this nursery.

My daughter has just completed her first half of term at school and loves it. She is excelling in her reading and phonics, her counting, shapes, etc are all great. This is all down to the fantastic 4 years she spent at Kingsclere Day Nursery.
The nursery, the staff, the facilities and the caring environment
have been amazing and great preparation for her. Thank you to everyone.

All of the staff at Kingsclere have been friendly, welcoming and fun when looking after my daughter. Activities are varied and the learning to prepare the children for school is balanced against the children enjoying structured teaching whilst also having fun playing educational games. Food is varied
and nutritious and my daughter always has a smile on her face at drop off and pick up. The staff and management have also always been very accommodating with extra or amended sessions due to shift changes at work. We had complete peace of mind with Kingsclere.

Both of our children have been cared for at Kingsclere over the past 6 years and we have been very happy with every aspect.
Our youngest has just finished as she is starting school and will miss all the staff tremendously as she grew very fond of each one.
The day in the life parent portal is a
lovely way for us to catch up with what the children have done during their day. Thank you, Kingsclere!

Our son has just graduated from Kingsclere's pre-school and I am so grateful to the management and staff for their continued care and support. Nothing is ever too much for them to do; they are all knowledgeable, patient and caring and I have seen my child flourish and grow in their care. They have an
excellent range of activities including French with Madame, and the facilities and play areas are always well kept. The best resource they have are the staff who know each child individually and I have full confidence that my son is in good hands when I leave him there every morning. The online portal is fantastic as we receive daily updates on what he's doing so we are always in the loop. We are going to miss the care and support when it is finally time to move on and we would like to thank everyone at Kingsclere for their dedication and wish them the very best for the future.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.484)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.484) out of 10 for Kingsclere Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.684 for Kingsclere Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.684
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kingsclere Day Nursery is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 number of registered child places is 7.6, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
