We can see our daughter being very happy in the nursery and this is all we need! She is developing in a very welcoming and soothing environment with happy faces all around. We are well informed about her day, every day, some times with interesting observations and photos that we can see through the
app, which is also a great feature. Overall, I would recommend this nursery, for the people, the environment, the cleanliness, the beautiful garden, the level of learning! Well done!

My son absolutely loves Oaktree and is excited every time he goes and always tells me he had lots of fun!
Only constructive criticism is that the memo sent should be every Monday, the way it was when my elder son was at Oaktree 2015-2016. He also used to receive reading books weekly for parents to
read at home too, which my son at the moment does not get.
Overall I am really happy with the nursery, as my son is happy and I have recommended to many people and will continue to do so. Thank you to all the staff for making this a clean, safe and fun environment for all the children.

Professional, well run and well-kept nursery. High standards throughout. Excellent food that is nutritional and without cakes, biscuits. Educates good behaviour into children and sets expectations. Good communications via email that are regular as well as ad-hoc when needed.

We moved our toddler to Oak Tree in March 2017 and are delighted with how he has progressed in that time!


The staff are all lovely and incredibly supportive of our child's development and he has come on leaps and bounds in the time he has been at the nursery.
Not only do they focus on the more

academic side of learning through play and more structured learning activities, they also ensure that the children keep active and love that as well as lots of time outside in the garden area, they have an external sports coach that comes in every week to teach the children different sports. My little one absolutely loves it!


The staff are always available to speak to at both drop off and pick up times should we have any questions and we always receive a detailed account of what our little one has been up to during the day, in terms of activities, food and sleep etc. We also love that we can see pictures and development logs on the parent portal and the weekly memos are great!

This nursery and its team have an amazing family feel, like a home from home, my son has been so happy and relaxed here, instead of crying when I drop him off (like his old nursery) he cries when I pick him up because he never wants to leave. My son has come on leaps and bounds with his learning since
joining the structured and fun pre school room. Can't say if value for money as my son was funded only.

The staff are always happy and always so helpful in all aspects. My son has progressed in everything since he has attended this nursery.
He has such an amazing relationship with a few of the girls in Bumble Bees you can really tell the among of time and effort they have put into him.

Oak Tree Day Nursery provides a warm, caring and happy environment for my 15 month old son who attends for 4 days per week.
All of the staff in the Caterpillar room are brilliant and he goes into nursery smiling every day. The range of activities e.g. sensory play, outdoor play, music etc. are great
and I have seen a huge difference in my son's confidence since starting at Oak Tree.
As a parent, I really like the Parent Zone app and feel that I'm kept up to date with everything he's done in the day. Overall, I can't rate Oak Tree Nursery highly enough!

The staff are very professional and caring. We always get plenty of feedback about how our child has done on their day at nursery.
The indoor environment is spacious and there are lots of books and toys. Outdoors, the garden has plenty of room and activities for the children.
The food is nutritious
and is of good quality and variety.
Communication with parents is good, and we get a weekly update detailing what is planned.
We are very happy with this nursery.

I cannot recommend Oak tree enough, my children started in October, 1 had special needs and nothing is ever to much trouble. My boys absolutely love the outside and inside areas of the nursery, it is more like an additional family, not just people who look after my children. I know they are safe and

My daughter has attended Oak Tree nursery for a number of years now. It is a wonderful nursery, with excellent management and staff.

My little girl absolutely loves it here. When she first started there were plenty of tears but the team are so fabulous that it didn't take long for her to settle. Now she goes in full of smiles and legs kicking with excitement. Since joining Oak Tree my daughter has gained so much confidence and developed

The children that I care for have attended Oak Tree for a year now and in this time, they have really thrived from their experiences they have had there.


From the daily planned activities, free flow to the garden area and lovely meals that they eat. I always feel welcomed to the room and the staff

give me a hand over about their day which gives me the information to continue meeting their needs when in my charge.

Oak Tree Day Nursery (Finchampstead) has provided a brilliant start to my son's pre-school education. My son found it very difficult to settle in at first as he was so used to being with me. The staff at Oak Tree have really helped us as a family to overcome his initial worries and within no time he
has settled and loves every minute of his time there. With patience and care, the staff have helped him to build up relationships with all of the staff and children. The nursery is a safe, happy and friendly environment. His development goes from strength to strength and we are excited to see him grow and progress.

Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending Oaktree Nursery. We were nervous about her attending nursery at such a young age (9 months). The team have been absolutely fantastic in keeping her entertained and us informed.


She enjoys a variety of activities, whether that’s painting,

sensory play and eating! The all round quality of Oaktree is second to none. The staff are friendly, caring and attentive. There are a number of ways that they let us know how our daughter is progressing - whether that's through the ParentZone mobile app, an end of day report, a quick chat in the morning or evening, or through attending one of the nursery's Open Days.

My son currently attends Oak Tree and has done since he was a baby. The nursery itself is bright, clean and like a home away from home. The staff in his room welcome him every morning with smiles and cuddles and I feel 100% comfortable leaving him there. He was a picky baby and not great with strangers
but he has flourished under the care and attention he receives from the staff and now quite often wants to know why we aren't going to nursery on a Saturday morning! The meals are varied and I appreciate that the children receive a proper meal for dinner as well as lunch. The nursery stays involved with parents via regular parent meetings and weekly emails about what's going on in the nursery which is great because I can often discuss with my son what he will be getting up to at nursery next week. I would recommend Oak Tree for anyone who likes that homely feel for their child and a real sense of love from the staff.

Rebecca Rowland

Job Title: Nursery Manager

My name is Becca, and I am the Nursery Manager at Oaktree. I have been working in Early Years since 2005 when I got my first part time job in a nursery, whilst studying my A levels. I soon realised that this was more than a job and I had a true passion for childcare and all that comes with it. After completing my A levels in Health and Social Care and Physiology I decided to pursue a career in Childcare. I received my qualification in December 2008 and quickly progressed through the nursery. I worked as Deputy Manager at Oaktree for 5 years and in December 2022 I took over as Manager.


At Oaktree we love to get outdoors and explore nature. We feel that it is important that the children learn to look after the planet therefore we joined Eco schools and have been awarded our green flag. The team and I have a passion for charity and love to give back to the community. We sponsor a charity a year and hold different charitable events to get the families and children involved. We also regularly collect items for the local food bank and teach the children about the importance of helping others.
