We came to Oak Tree when I was 20 weeks pregnant, we had been to see lots of nursery's but Oak Tree was different. There was a family feeling and we could tell the staff really cared for every student. Since my son joined in September he has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 16 months old. At a stressful time the nursery were there every step of the way and a few weeks after diagnosis he was back in nursery running around in his usual routine. They manage his numbers, food and treatment with excellent communication. We get regular updates, photos and check ins if he's not having a great day. I wouldn't trust anyone else with his care and I can't wait to see him grow as he moves through the rooms. Thank you so much for all you do

Admittedly I have not been directly involved as much as my wife, but we knew we wanted our daughter to go to Oak Tree the second we completed the initial viewing. It is like when you buy a house, you can walk into 4x or 5x but then one hits you and you know THAT IS THE ONE. This is how we felt about Oak Tree and I have seen nothing but excellence from them. Our daughter loved going to this Nursery and I have seen her grow in confidence week on week. She has always been happy to go in, and talked about her day with happiness. What more could you want? My name is Becca, and I am the Nursery Manager at Oaktree. I have been working in Early Years since 2005 when I got my first part time job in a nursery, whilst studying my A levels. I soon realised that this was more than a job and I had a true passion for childcare and all that comes with it. After completing my A levels in Health and Social Care and Physiology I decided to pursue a career in Childcare. I received my qualification in December 2008 and quickly progressed through the nursery. I worked as Deputy Manager at Oaktree for 5 years and in December 2022 I took over as Manager.
At Oaktree we love to get outdoors and explore nature. We feel that it is important that the children learn to look after the planet therefore we joined Eco schools and have been awarded our green flag. The team and I have a passion for charity and love to give back to the community. We sponsor a charity a year and hold different charitable events to get the families and children involved. We also regularly collect items for the local food bank and teach the children about the importance of helping others.
