Oak Tree Day Nursery in Finchampstead, Wokingham, proudly holds an Outstanding Ofsted rating (August 2024), recognising its exceptional quality of care, education, and commitment to children’s development.

My daughter has gone to Oak Tree since she was a baby. She loves it, always dying to get out of the car when we pull up and sometimes I don’t even get a goodbye as she’s eager to get into The bumblebees room. She has formed great relationships with the children and the staff in the nursery and always
talks about the staff in the car on the way home. The staff at Oak Tree are so friendly and always make the effort to tell me about my daughters day and what foods she has eaten. They keep me informed of her progress and I love that they take photos for me to see what she gets up to. I can’t recommend Oak Tree enough.

I have had at least one of my three children at Oaktree for the past 7-years. The staff are exceptional - they are professional and caring, and make each child feel special, and the parents part of their child’s experience. I have particularly been impressed with the way Oaktree has handled the current
virus situation and welcomed the children back. My children have always been very happy at Oaktree, and I couldn’t recommend the nursery more to prospective parents.

I chose this nursery for my son due to the warmth and detailed information given by the staffing on our show round. Since then I have continued to be overwhelmed by the exceeding of expectations with everything this nursery has to offer.
My son settled very quickly and loves attending daily. I feel
so happy and reassured at how much my son loves it.
The nursery and its staffing and communication feels like a family set up. We feel very included as a family and reassured with everything my son experiences.
The communication and approach around the covid situation and follow up has exceeded all my expectations around the professionalism, expertise and operation of a top of its class daily function. It is by far and above the best I have seen when comparing to my friend's children's nurseries and I am so happy and proud that my son has the privilege of attending Oak Tree.

My son has been attending Oak Tree Day Nursery for the past year, he has been in bumblebees and now is in Pre School.
The care my son receives is outstanding and he has always been very happy there. He has a varied diet, eats really well and is always eager to try new foods. He has made some lovely
friends and is very attached to his key worker and the whole preschool team. He knows every member of staff and they all know him, he is never ignored and they encourage his curiosities and active nature.
The Manager has always been a pleasure to deal with and no matter how busy she is, she always has time for you and will go above and beyond to help.
I highly recommend Oak Tree Day Nursery!

We would like to thank the staff at Oaktree for helping our daughter feel more settled at nursery in the last two weeks. Our daughter has become very unsure and afraid of other people during lockdown and was very upset when she first returned to nursery last week. The staff kept in touch with me and
let me know that she was doing really well and each time she attends she settles really quickly now. These are strange times and the nursery has been fantastic at giving us ideas for activities whilst stuck at home and being really supportive for returning when parents are ready to do so. I have always been really happy with Oaktree and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for high quality, considered childcare at any age.

We’ve been with Oaktree for 6 years now - our eldest daughter attended from 14 months 'til she started school and our youngest is now in her second year of 4.
Both our girls have been extremely happy at Oaktree and despite a house move we have chosen to continue to keep our girls where they’re happy
and settled. We’ve known some of the ladies who work there for as long as we’ve been going and they are so caring, thoughtful and attentive to our girls.
I would highly recommend Oaktree - our girls have thrived during their time there and it was a brilliant pre-cursor to school. Lots of learning through play opportunities, lots of focus and attention to each child and an ultimate focus on the happiness of that child which is paramount!
We’ll be sad when it’s our time to leave!

My son has been attending Oak Tree Day Nursery since May 2017 and he truly loves it there. He's started in Caterpillars when he was 9 months old and then transitioned to Ladybirds when he was around 16 months old where he is absolutely thriving with the fun exciting environment and activities he gets
to take part in. He absolutely LOVES the garden and would spend all day every day out there if he could! He has lots of little friends and really enjoys telling me all about his day when I pick him up. His speech is coming on leaps and bounds and I love seeing his confident cheeky character develop with a lot of thanks to all the lovely staff at Oak Tree. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

My baby started at Oak Tree when he was only 6 weeks old. I was so worried at the beginning of him starting nursery at that early age but he settled really well. The staff at Oak Tree are always cheerful and caring.they always write a not to inform me how many feeds he had, his naps and their observations
to him during the day. I really liked the parent zone app as it shows me the photos of my baby and his progress every day especially with the professional assessment comments. Thanks so much to all staff at Oak Tree for loving, caring and hard work. Thanks to management for the quick response to any emails. I highly recommend Oak Tree.

My daughter has been at Oak Tree since the age of 9 months and has just gone up to preschool at the age of 3. She has grown and developed so much since starting at the nursery and has made so many friends and loves the team. The staff are always attentive and friendly, and I always receive a detailed

My daughter currently attends pre-school at Oak Tree, having recently progressed from the Bumblebees room. Since she started in the spring, she has settled in beautifully and I couldn't be happier with her progress and her learning. She absolutely adores it here and has formed close bonds with a lot
of the staff here, especially her key workers. The facilities are wonderful and my daughter especially loves the garden and outdoor space. I think their golden values are fantastic, as is the care she receives. The staff are always very friendly and I always feel informed of how my child's day at nursery has been, what she has learnt, how she has played etc. I couldn't recommend Oak Tree more highly!

My Son has been at Oak Tree from 11 months until leaving for Primary School in August 2017. We have been delighted with the care and attention he has received during his time there. My Daughter is also at Oak Tree and I anticipate shell be there until she leaves for school too. Nothing is too much trouble
for the staff and they have loads of energy for playing with and occupying the children. The facilities, including the excellent outdoor space, are great,m and the meals are lovely and healthy too. Thank you!

My 3 yr old and 2 yr old attend. The atmosphere is warm and fun. I can really see the progression both have made since attending, my son comes home every day having learned something new. My daughter is very shy but is happy and confident there. The staff are caring, kind and thoughtful, and take
excellent care of the children. They all work extremely hard and create new activities and themes to encourage new interests. They get the children involved in so many things, e.g. sports days, exercise coaches, science classes and eggs to hatch at Easter. The toys and facilities are plenty and clean. The opening hours are very convenient and the food is fresh and healthy. Communication is great - weekly update email, a parents forum and they use an electronic system to upload observations and photos of the children's' learning. They hold parents evenings and ran a school readiness session for parents of pre-school children, with on-going support towards this. They also do a lot for charity.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

My name is Becca, and I am the Nursery Manager at Oaktree. I have been working in Early Years since 2005 when I got my first part time job in a nursery, whilst studying my A levels. I soon realised that this was more than a job and I had a true passion for childcare and all that comes with it. After completing my A levels in Health and Social Care and Physiology I decided to pursue a career in Childcare. I received my qualification in December 2008 and quickly progressed through the nursery. I worked as Deputy Manager at Oaktree for 5 years and in December 2022 I took over as Manager.


At Oaktree we love to get outdoors and explore nature. We feel that it is important that the children learn to look after the planet therefore we joined Eco schools and have been awarded our green flag. The team and I have a passion for charity and love to give back to the community. We sponsor a charity a year and hold different charitable events to get the families and children involved. We also regularly collect items for the local food bank and teach the children about the importance of helping others.
