Oak Tree Day Nursery in Finchampstead, Wokingham, proudly holds an Outstanding Ofsted rating (August 2024), recognising its exceptional quality of care, education, and commitment to children’s development.

The nursery inspires children to become investigative and curious about the world around them through rich, small-world play experiences. It features a bespoke growing area and greenhouse, where children develop a love and appreciation for nature by growing fruits, vegetables, and plants - which they can later use in cooking activities or even to create their own natural inks.

A dedicated learning library is available for families, offering books, story sacks, and activity bags designed to support learning at home, as well as to help children navigate new experiences and emotions.

My daughter is thriving in the Bumblebee room. She loves coming to nursery and always receives a warm welcome. We are very happy with the care and education that she receives at Oak Tree.
The food is very nutritious and our daughter often mentions the kitchen assistant and likes to wave to him in
the kitchen on her way home.

Our twin boys have excelled since being in nursery. The facilities team and key workers are excellent in all regards. The boys were very premature and Oak Tree works tirelessly to minimise the gaps. We would recommend Oak Tree Finchampstead every opportunity we could.

Our baby boy has been with Oak Tree Day Nursery since he was 5 months old. He is now 22 months. All of the staff are extremely loving and caring and attentive to him. They always celebrate his achievements with so much enthusiasm. Oak Tree staff keep us very well informed of all his daily activities,
food intake (which is so healthy and yummy and wonderfully cooked on site) and nappy changing. It is a joy to see how much he has developed in nearly 1 and half years when we look through his dossier. The range of toys and activities is very broad, to keep little people happily learning. The garden space is divided so that every room has their own little space, where they explore colours, textures, sounds, nature. We are very happy with the nursery and would certainly recommend it.

We had a bit of a rocky start, partly because my son was unsettled (first time in nursery) and partly through lack of communication during change of manager. However I think we have now got over the hurdle and we have had a massive turnaround and I now feel absolutely delighted with this nursery. I
feel that on occasions there is a lack of resources e.g paper, working pens etc but overall this is simple to resolve. I would like to see my sons learning log now that we have been here 9 weeks.

Great nursery and amazing staff! My son is finishing his first year there and now moving from Bumblebees to Pre - school. There is great SENCO rep - my little one has hearing aids and she was looking after him from the very first day. He loves spending time at nursery and he absolutely adores her!

My daughter has started in Oak Tree in February and has really loved it from day 1. The staff are lovely and made her feel so welcome. Having moved a long way from overseas we were afraid our daughter might find it difficult to settle in a new nursery but she loved it from the beginning. She really

Oak Tree Nursery is an excellent facility, the staff are extremely competent and nurturing to the children. My girls love their time spent there and are always happy to go. The food provided is excellent and the variety is very good. Management is also very helpful and available to discuss any concerns
or answer any query. I am glad my girls have the opportunity to be part of the Oak Tree environment.

Pre-school room is fantastic. My son is so happy at nursery and regularly tells us. The quality of staff in the room are excellent, my only challenge is getting time at the end of the day to discuss my son in detail (this is not all the time but on occasions) as is mainly due to a popular pick up time
but staff moving around rooms.
Quality of learning is excellent with key topic areas identified and shared very well with children. An overall excellent experience. I have been using Oaktree for 8 years and it had highs and lows. I feel like I have got the great Oaktree back with it's current team.

Both my daughters have attended this nursery and we all absolutely love it. My daughter is always well looked after and I'm content leaving her. We have both grown a bond with our key worker, she is wonderful key worker as are some of the other ladies who help to look after my daughter. I will be safe
when she no longer comes here.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery to the point she's upset when it's Saturday. The special relationships built between my daughter and the staff are so special in different ways. We have 8 months until we begin school and I have to say I'm dreading leaving!

My experience with Oak Tree has been wonderful, I couldn't ask for a better nursery. Being working parents, my 3 year old daughter attends Oak Tree full time. The staff in Oak Tree are professional and experienced, they have helped my child to learn and grow to be more independent. It has been nice
to be able to discuss with the staff to get practical advice during challenging times I experienced with my daughter. The staff and nursery manager really look out for us and are so caring. Thank you Oak Tree and all the staff working here! I would definitely recommend this nursery, you wont be left disappointed.

I am one of the parents of a child attending Oak Tree. My son is about to complete his first term at Oak Tree and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and the business for everything. He has thoroughly enjoyed his time and I have seen him develop many new skills. He really enjoys

Oak Tree is a fantastic nursery and as an auntie I am never felt to feel unvalued, the team are caring and clearly love my niece. I was asked security questions on my visits when I first started to collect my niece and this made myself and sister very happy. We both cannot fault the team and the happy
and passionate staff. The manager will take time to answer any questions and cares for all of the family going above and beyond her role. An absolutely beautiful nursery that I highly recommend.

Oak Tree has great atmosphere and is warm welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. My oldest son come he when he was 9 months old loving every day that he was here. That's why my second son now goes to Oak Tree he also came at a early age, the nursery can not be faulted, the growth, skills and
development of both my boys coming here has been outstanding and I can't thank the girls enough for all their hard working, caring manner, their skills and knowledge and artist ways off helping my boys grow also for being very approachable and understanding.
My Son likes coming to nursery I tend to normally have a job getting him to go home as he wants to stay and play.
The home cooked food that is cooked on the premises is a hit with my son.
The management is fabulous to, again easy approachable, caring will solve any inquiries that I may have straightaway.
I would 100% recommended Oak Tree to others.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

My name is Becca, and I am the Nursery Manager at Oaktree. I have been working in Early Years since 2005 when I got my first part time job in a nursery, whilst studying my A levels. I soon realised that this was more than a job and I had a true passion for childcare and all that comes with it. After completing my A levels in Health and Social Care and Physiology I decided to pursue a career in Childcare. I received my qualification in December 2008 and quickly progressed through the nursery. I worked as Deputy Manager at Oaktree for 5 years and in December 2022 I took over as Manager.


At Oaktree we love to get outdoors and explore nature. We feel that it is important that the children learn to look after the planet therefore we joined Eco schools and have been awarded our green flag. The team and I have a passion for charity and love to give back to the community. We sponsor a charity a year and hold different charitable events to get the families and children involved. We also regularly collect items for the local food bank and teach the children about the importance of helping others.
