Overall Experience

My daughter has been at Quackers since she was 12 months old. I was very concerned about leaving her and needed to be extremely comfortable with the nursery I chose. Since day one at Quackers she has totally thrived, she loves being there and is always very happy. The staff are very accommodating, fantastic with the children communicate well with parents and provide a very professional overall service and a very high level of childcare. I would thoroughly recommend Quackers to other parents.

Quackers Day Nursery provides a fun and safe environment for my children, with an excellent management team leading dedicated and professional staff who aim to work in partnership with parents. The activities, both indoors and outdoors are exciting and engaging providing the foundations for many skills and developmental needs. The food is of a high healthy standard and quite often my children tell me my dinners aren't as good as nurseries! I would and have highly recommended Quackers to any parents.

Overall Experience

My daughter has been at Quackers since she was 1 (now 3.5), I can't recommend this nursery enough. The staff are second to none, friendly, approachable and extremely passionate about children and their needs. Very varied activities at all age levels which help with children's development, a real focus on individual children's needs is shown throughout the nursery.

Healthy home cooked meals are served, with a great variety which my daughter loves.

My daughter adores all the members of staff but she respects all of them too, they encourage manners (a huge plus for me) and good listening.

They supported us all through potty training her, encouraging her with sticker charts and verbal encouragement which was so valuable when you are working 4 days a week, to have something significant like that supported by the nursery.

I really can't fault Quackers and that's why my son will be starting there this year as well, so he can start his Quackers journey just like his big sister.

Excellent nursery. Feel entirely happy with my daughter's care. Would recommend Quackers to anyone - and have done so in the past.

Meet the Team (3)

Jenna Forey
Jenna ForeyJob Title:Operations Director and Nursery ManagerJoined: 2001

Jenna joined Quackers in 2001 as the Pre-School unit leader and after working her way up to Deputy Manager, became our Nursery Manager in 2009. Jenna gained her NNEB qualification in 1999 and her Early Years Degree in 2014. Jenna is the nursery SENCO and Safeguarding Officer.

Jenna is supernumerary which allows her to spend time in all rooms allowing her to share new ideas with the team and constantly improve what we do, which is something she highly enjoys. Jenna expects a high standard of care which was recognised in the latest Ofsted inspection “The manager sets high standards and provides strong leadership, continuing to raise practice across the nursery to give children the very best start in life”.

Jenna is a mum of one.

Beth Hollins
Beth HollinsJob Title:Nursery ManagerJoined: 2011

Beth has been part of the Quackers family since September 2011, having joined us as an apprentice. Beth is level 3 qualified and shares the Manager Role, supporting Jenna with the running of the Nursery. Beth has extensive experience of working with children with additional needs.

Chris HughesJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2003

Christina joined Quackers in 2003 as a Nursery Assistant and gained her level 3 NVQ in children’s care, learning and development in 2009. Christina has been the Preschool unit leader and Deputy Manager since 2015, supporting both Jenna and Beth.

Christina has a passion for learning through play and provides exciting and interesting activities for the children to experience and develop skills. Christina is also the Nursery Gardener and she can often be found with a group of children rattling around the greenhouse with the strawberries, cucumbers and tomatoes.

Chris is a Mum of two and Nan of four.
