Quackers Day Nursery Chieveley

Our daughter started here at 12 months and both she and we have been so happy from the start. Excellent communication and response to emails, well structured settling in and she is still so happy to go in 8 months later. The team are very knowledgeable and caring and provide a good range of activities. We will be sad to move up rooms but sure Newts will be just as positive an experience!

I can't recommend Quackers enough. Both my children have attended and my son still does. There is a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and they can't do enough to help and support you. We loved Quackers so much we reserved a place for my son while I was still pregnant to get a space. They are flexible and do some wonderful things with the children.

The baby room is well equipped with several different spaces for the babies. We get thoughtful feedback each day and where we have had any questions they have been answered carefully and promptly. The staff are highly skilled and seem to really enjoy being with the babies in their care.

Quackers is a lovely nursery - they provide a range of enrichment activities that have helped build out our daughter's curiosity and confidence. The staff are brilliant at introducing themselves to the parents and being present with the children so she has familiar faces throughout the day wherever she is. The menu options are brilliant and have been great at introducing her to a variety of new tastes and flavours. While we have a key worker aligned, all the staff treat her with care, empathy and respect. They understand her personality and all bring out her fun, silly side. Handover at the end of the day is comprehensive and we come away feeling like we have participated in her day too.

We love this nursery. Our second child is currently attending and she is thriving. They have many highly experienced staff who give excellent care to the children, and lots of activities for the children to take part in, including visits from mobile farms etc. Can't recommend it highly enough.

My little one absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are incredible , genuinely caring and so invested in the children's happiness and wellbeing.

It has a lovely family-run feel, and the fact that so many staff have been there for years really shows how much they care.

The outdoor space is fantastic, and there are so many wonderful activities: school plays, sports days, photos, farm visits, parents evenings.

Most mornings my little one runs in without even looking back, which is the best reassurance that he truly loves it there. I'd highly recommend

As a Dutch family, we moved from Belgium to the UK last November. Our son started at Quackers in December, and our daughter, who was born in February, started this month. Our only previous nursery experience was in Belgium, but so far our experience with Quackers has been amazing!

The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and flexible. They communicate well about the children's progress and any concerns, especially when there is a contagious illness going around. For our daughter, they took the time to help her settle in properly, which we really appreciate. As a parent, this makes it feel safe and reassuring to bring her there, even though she is only four months old.

Our son loves going to Quackers and happily says hello and goodbye to everyone. The activities vary from day to day, and the food is freshly prepared with a varied three-week menu.

Overall, we are very happy and grateful for the care Quackers provide.

We have had such a positive experience with Quackers. It is always clean, welcoming, and well organised, which gives us peace of mind as parents. The meals provided are excellent, with a great variety of healthy options.

The staff are friendly, caring, and very knowledgeable, and nothing is ever too much to ask. They take the time to support both children and parents and make every child feel valued.

I really appreciate how they stick to routines, which has helped my child feel settled and secure. There are always lots of fun and engaging activities that support learning and development, and I have seen such a positive difference in my child's confidence and growth.

The activities are above and beyond. Something I've never experienced at other nurseries. They have farm visits, P.E with an external company trained to teach children, music, they have caterpillars which they watch grow into butterflies. They've had duck and chicken eggs which they've learnt about and watched hatch. The amount of extra 'activities' is fabulous and the children clearly learn so much from it. My child is always chatting about what she's been doing. Plus the garden is fantastic. So much space for all the children to run around and be themselves. We love Quackers!

After being really apprehensive about my baby going to nursery I can honestly say Quackers have been AMAZING!!!! The staff are fantastic, my baby is super happy there and the attention to detail, the feedback provided, the food they eat, everything is just 10/10! I genuinely couldn't be happier!!! Highly recommend and so glad I chose this nursery!

My daughter (2yo) is always so happy skipping into Quackers. The staff are great and they have so many different activities each day, she's always busy and comes home happy and tired. Thrilled we can go full-time in the New Year.

We have always been very happy with the care our son has received at Quackers. The staff are professional, knowledgable and caring, able to understand the different phases we have been through! We find the communication excellent and the nursery a very positive childcare environment.

We are very happy with Quackers and my daughter loves going there. The staff are so caring and cheerful and always have something nice to say at pick-up time. They have been very good about supporting my daughter with starting out at nursery and are happy to follow similar routines that we have at home. The space/resources are clean and well-maintained. They have good processes in place for changing nappies and recording/reporting general information. The online portal is regularly updated with pictures so we can know more about her day.

We cannot recommend Quackers enough. Our little boy started in the baby room and is just about to start in the preschool room. It's a huge relief knowing that our son is well looked after and having a great time, whilst getting the enrichment he needs. We love picking him up at the end of the day and hearing about all the activities, he quite often has to be persuaded to leave which just speaks volumes for how much he enjoys it. We've been so lucky to have wonderful key workers in each room, he's had a great relationship with them and clearly feels safe and loved which is all we can ask for. The nursery has a great family atmosphere which is rare to find, you feel like your child isn't just a number, but that all the staff know them and engage with them regardless of what room they are in at the time. Our new baby boy is due to start next year, there are no nerves or worries this time around as we know how amazing Quackers are and how well looked after he will be.

Our son has been attending Quackers for eighteen months now, and we are really impressed. From the start he has settled well, and really enjoys his time at nursery. All the staff come across as caring and attentive, and we can really see some genuine bonds between them and our little boy. He has learned so much, and been exposed to so many wonderful activities and friends. We would not hesitate to recommend Quackers!

Our first child started Quackers in November 2021. As our child had a food intolerance at the time, it was essential for us to find a nursery which met her needs. A friend of ours recommended Quackers as their son had an allergy and we are eternally grateful for this recommendation! Now our second child attends and both our children have endless fun and learn so much! The children are provided with so many opportunities- each week alone the older children have one sports session and one music session. Then throughout the year, the nursery organises opportunities such as a Christmas nativity, sports day, a farm visit and trips around the village. We are so thankful for these opportunities and the day-to-day learning activities with which our children are provided.

Our children love going to Quackers! There is a warm and friendly atmosphere in the nursery and the staff go above and beyond to nurture and care for our children. We love picking our children up and hearing about and seeing all the fun things they have been learning about. The staff put a lot of thought into the activities they plan for the children - inspiring a love for learning from an early age. Communication with parents is fantastic and nothing is ever too much trouble. We are grateful to all the staff at Quackers for all their hard work and dedication to providing our children with the best care.

Best of the crop! What a godsend Quackers is, honestly like no other. Our little boy started in late 2023 and loves going. His bond with the staff is immeasurable and their support is pretty much 360. Their uniqueness lies in staff having mutual respect for all children and their families, multiplying our boy’s confidence tenfold!

Our 20-month-old son has been with Quackers since January. Having started in the baby room and is now in the slightly older, toddler room. He absolutely loves it. The team give complete confidence that they really care and provide a loving and nurturing environment. We get a full report every day of what he has been up to, how much he has eaten, number of nappies, etc, with extra details about little personality traits and friends, we know he has been given lots of care and attention and they treat him as an individual. He goes in really happy and is always smiley when we pick him up, usually getting stuck in playing with a group or having his tea. They also do fantastic activities - lots of painting and crafts, they set up themed play stations, he really loves their garden and its equipment, they also sometimes have animals visit and take the children out to see things in the village. We know he learns so much when he's there. We would recommend Quackers to anyone.

I could not rate Quackers high enough. They always go above and beyond. Clear communication, and great safeguarding procedures, which reassure and confirm that my child is in safe hands. The children get lots of opportunities for fresh air as well as a wide variety of activities and we love the fact they are allowed to go for walks in the village.
