Little Long Close

My youngest has started the nursery from this term and he is the happiest. He is learning new things every day. The school staff and administration is very cooperative. Iam associated with the school for the last 10 years now and this has been a very pleasant journey.

Excellent in everything especially the teachers. They make sure kids are happy in the classroom. My son never used to eat anything at school but now he eats everything. I am so grateful to all the staff at Nursery.

My daughter did her nursery and into preschool now. She is very happy to go to school and enjoy with her friends & teachers. The staff here are very experienced and they will update everything on a daily basis too. She learnt her phonics as well and attends swimming lessons too.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. The teachers are so loving and caring and it shows. My child comes home speaking so positively of school. My child also has multiple food allergies and the lovely head of pre-prep has been outstanding with her support on this issue. The classes are safe from my daughter's allergens, she arranged for me to meet with the chef to go over all the dietary requirements. Absolutely brilliant. Teachers are so thorough with the handover at the end of the school day and have great communication through the parent portal.

As a parent, I highly appreciate how Long Close keeps parents informed of the child’s progress and daily activities. Parents are always well-informed. The Head of Early Years in Long Close is always ready to answer any kind of questions and definitely a passionate early years educator.

Overall, would highly recommend it, we were uncomfortable with sending our son to nursery but Long Close has been awesome in the support, education and nurturing, the staff and the team offer. Highly recommend it.

I feel each child is treated uniquely and their individual needs are catered for. There is also constant communication between staff and I - either in person or via email. I feel very reassured that my son is in good hands when I drop him off in the morning. I would highly recommend early years at Long Close School to anyone who is considering putting their child there.

My daughter started nursery in September. I was very optimistic as she has never had the chance to explore or go to any groups as she's only 2 and has spent most of her life in lockdown! But I can say she has settled in extremely well. The staff are absolutely lovely, and ensure your child's well being. My daughter is always excited to go to school the moment she wakes up! Which shows me she's thoroughly enjoying her time there. I love watching what gets uploaded on Tapestry to see what they get up to and it's so lovely seeing how encouraging the staff members are which has definitely helped with her development in a matter of weeks and her speech. I would highly recommend longclose nursery as its important to have a solid foundation for a childs future.

Our son started preschool at Long Close in September, after being home since March due to the Covid restrictions. All our post lockdown anxiety about him restarting disappeared very quickly. The staff are warm, friendly and our son loves going in - he even asks to go in on the weekend which is testament to the hard work the staff have done to create a nurturing and loving environment. We are given regular updates as to the activities that our son does, and we have seen his confidence and enthusiasm for learning positively soar in a very short space of time! We are very happy with our decision in choosing Long Close and would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to other parents.

Having already sent my eldest daughter to Long Close Nursery in 2018, I happily sent my middle child to start the nursery in September of this year. What an amazing, fun-filled, vibrant setting it is. I cannot commend the staff highly enough for the way they have created a warm, welcoming and happy setting for Early Years. My daughter absolutely loves attending each and every day - she actually is so excited to go mainly because she has made wonderful relationships with the staff and the other children. Her social skills as well as her academic skills are developing at a rapid rate and the way that the nursery has fostered her sense of independence and co-operation is just amazing. It is lovely to see the activities that they get up to on Tapestry, reassuring me that the time spent in the nursery is valuable and well resourced. Their feedback as to how she is doing is well informed and gives me strategies to work on at home. Highly recommend Long Close Nursery and Pre-School!

Hi. My daughter has started the nursery this September. I was very concerned as she has not been to any other settings before Long Close Nursery but I am super glad to see how easily she has settled. I am in love with the super energy of the staff, they all are extremely helpful and full of affection. I just can't praise them enough. My daughter is very happy here especially the home corner. I would rate this energy-filled nursery a full A++. Thanks.

Responsible school with a caring teacher. Not active enough to transfer information when my child is at school. Advice - be active to communicate with parents about how their child is doing at school and their progress from the beginning to the end of term.

My son has joined Long Close nursery since September 2015 (full time). The nursery was recommended by a friend who also has a child attending the school.

It has only been a term and I have already been very impressed with the genuine dedication shown by such a fabulous nursery team!

My daughter who is now going to start in year 2 started her academic life at long close nursery! It is a decision that as parents we are sure that it was a good one! Having had her attending this nursery it only made sense having our son go there too. Again a decision well taken! The classrooms are great fun to be in, the staff are extremely competent and really kind and supportive of the children! I highly recommend the nursery and the follow on to the school at Long Close as we get the feeling that our children are treated by the Headmaster and teachers as if they were their own children! The ethos and family feel in the whole school is second to none and I have not seen this environment anywhere else! It is a great nursery and as a parent of 2 children I highly recommend it to other parents! I take the opportunity to thank each member of staff for all their dedication and professionalism in taking care of our children!
