Teepee Day Nursery

When making the decision to put my son in nursery, there were multiple nurseries we had looked at. Being first time parents it was a huge commitment to make and ensuring that my child progressed well and was happy when not being with mum and dad. From the initial interactions and settling in days I could see that my child instantly enjoyed his time there. The staff are fantastic and have built a bond with my son which is incredible to see as he usually only wants to stay with mama so for him to be left with staff for over 8 hours and see him smiling in the photos that are sent through is really comforting to see that he is being looked after so well. My child has been at the nursery for approximately 9 months and the progression he has had in that time is incredible. The staff have a clear understanding on how to deal with my child and how to help him develop physically and vocally. I am so happy that Teepee is the nursery that we had picked as the staff are fantastic.

Teepee is a fantastic nursery. My child has been there for 8 months in the baby room. The staff are incredible- very supportive and focused on baby-led activities. The children get so much outside time including looking after chickens and helping in the vegetable garden. They also get to sleep outside. They do makaton and support children to develop their communication skills as well as their social and motor skills. They do so many activities every day to help them learn (painting, play dough, singing, sensory). They are also looking to improve constantly including a recent focus on child wellbeing and now on Schemas. They really look after the whole child and get joy from watching them develop. They also do lots to involve parents including at Christmas, Mother’s Day, and a focus week on your child every 8-10 weeks. Finally, the menu is perfectly tailored to give the children a balanced diet, with low sugar and salt, and the children help to bake and prep the food!

As a first-time parent, I was very anxious about leaving my son with strangers, but my worries vanished as soon as I met the team. Within minutes, one of the early years practitioners put me at ease and addressed all my concerns. This staff member has been incredible in helping both my son and me with the transition. The lead coach and mentor and two other early years practitioners always greet us with a smile, and go above and beyond when looking after my son. Even when greeted with a full nappy first thing in the morning! Dropping off my son feels like leaving him with extended family. The nursery facilities are excellent and offer numerous opportunities for my son's development. But for me, it is the staff that make this nursery!

Fantastic nursery, my son is such a happy confident little boy here. He loves coming into nursery and they do so much with him to nurture his interests. Everything is tailored to each child to provide a caring environment. The staff are exceptional and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

My son has been attending this nursery since the summer and he’s so lovely and enjoys himself immensely. The staff are attentive and they always have a planned variety of activities which my son loves, but most importantly, the teachings are always child lead.

The nursery provides an extraordinary environment for children to learn, play and thrive. The setting, together with the amazing staff, creates the perfect combination for children to develop in their early years. We cannot compliment the staff enough for their care, attention and imagination. We have loved the focus weeks, with the special attention given to every child and their individual needs. Our little girl has been attending Teepee since January 24. We used to struggle with emotional drop-offs and pick-ups, but with the support from the wonderful staff, drop-offs and pick-ups are a joy. She’s excited to come to nursery and it is lovely to see the bond she has formed with the practitioners in her room. Her speech has come on so much in the recent weeks and we feel that has been aided by Teepee. The practitioners in her room are so friendly and warm, making Teepee a lovely place for our daughter to attend.

We are so pleased we chose Teepee Nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents. Our son is happy to leave us every morning when we arrive and always excited to see his key worker. I feel he is safe, extremely well cared for and developing so well. I wholeheartedly trust the team at Teepee who have been brilliant from the first home visit. Thank you to one staff member in particular for being excellent and for helping to reassure my nerves and settle us in at the start. But a special thank you to another staff member for being his amazing key worker and showing our son so much kindness and love and we can see how much our son loves her. We would also like to thank another practitioner for being so positive and supportive every day and always a pleasure to see as well as several others for being brilliant and so kind to our son as well as teaching him new skills and words. Thank you for looking after him so well! We are so pleased he gets to play outside (with the chickens!) and he is always doing new and fun activities. Thank you!

Amazing! My son has been coming to Teepee for the last 2 years and has always been supported by the room leads and his key worker, who is fantastic. He continues to grow in confidence week by week and Teepee are right there to help him, anytime he needs it.

Our daughter has settled in really well and the staff in the baby room have been fantastic in helping her settle and come out of her shell, exploring new things and socialising with other children. Thank you.

Teepee is outstanding. Our son has been attending Teepee since he was just over a year old. Having had my maternity year through the Covid lockdowns it was a daunting prospect sending my son to another care provider. Teepee were and continues to be an amazing support for us all. It was so comforting to know that he was in safe hands and that they would continue to nurture him and look after him. There really is a family feel at Teepee and we have seen this through his transitions from the Baby room through to the Preschool room. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff there and all the children are happy, well-grounded and appropriately supported through their development. The children really are at the heart of all Teepee do and we simply couldn’t have asked for better for our son. I am immensely thankful to the team.

I’d highly recommend Teepee to any parent considering which nursery to choose for their child!

Great nursery, always takes the time for my boy, lots of attention to detail. I would recommend to any parents who want a great nursery, food is also very varied and they do lots of activities throughout the year in all conditions.

This is a brilliant nursery with kind and considerate staff who are very supportive to both the children and parents that attend. The learning facilities are very good and the outdoor space is the best I’ve seen in the area.

So to sum up, it’s brilliant!

The staff are all great at making my son feel safe and he always has the best day. We love the photos sent through the app and the ease of using this. The Manager has always been quick to respond to any questions and really helped ease in initially as it was daunting for us and our son!

Our son started at Teepee in October 2022. He is so settled and happy and the practitioners know him so well. Teepee is such a nurturing environment and we are so pleased we chose it.

We really love this nursery. Our daughter has been attending for over a year now (started in the baby room and is now in the toddler room) and she absolutely loves it. We feel that she is so well cared for during her time there, we have total trust in the staff, the communication is great and we feel like everyone has her best interests at heart. There is a wide variety of activities every day, plenty of outdoor time and parents are welcomed into the nursery for various events, it feels like a big family! All of the staff are friendly and approachable. We were well supported when we started toilet training and our daughter has progressed so well in general at this nursery. Would highly recommend it.
