Woodlands Day Nursery is a beautiful property, converted to create a 77 place day nursery of the highest quality.

Friendly and well-established, Woodlands provides a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual.

Much of the character of the building has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities. There are many sensory areas where the children can explore using all their senses.

The outdoor areas at Woodlands have been designed to encourage the children to explore holistically. It incorporates a covered area for babies to allow them to safely discover and investigate, whether they are crawling or walking.

I'm so happy to have a nursery that is staffed by such caring and knowledgable individuals. Every member of staff knows the name of my children and due to a low turnover of staff, most have a good understanding of their behaviours and needs, even without being based in their rooms. My children have
great relationships with their carers and I love that the management team always have their door open, willing to listen, answer and help.

Our experience at Woodlands has been great on many levels.
The staff in the management team and Bumblebees room are brilliant! So welcoming, dedicated, helpful and caring. We are greeted by warm welcomes from everyone each morning!
The children are stimulated by different and engaging activities
each day. I love finding out what fun (and educational!) things she’s been doing when I pick her up. It’s also fun to see live photos of her on the parent app.
The food is healthy, varied and culturally diverse. Staff are very accommodating if there are any allergies or dietary requirements.
The nursery’s opening hours are perfect for working parents.
We are very happy with Woodlands Nursery and have already recommended it to friends.

They have been part of our family from day one. My son is so independent and confident thanks to the staff and the learning environment he has whilst being at nursery.
He loves everything, food, play, his key worker is very caring and knows his routine.

Our eldest son spent all of his pre-school years at Woodlands and loved every minute. So when looking for a nursery for our youngest, Woodlands was our first choice. Seeing him settle in, in the capable hands of the wonderful staff, has made what can be a very anxious time for parents a really happy

Overall, I’ve been really pleased with the nursery. Some of the staff are excellent. My child has learned a lot. It is quite a small space for the children and some of the facilities could be improved. I have liked it enough to send my second child there too.

My daughter (11 months old) started in November and has been attending two days a week. The staff have been wonderful in trying to settle her in. She is the kind of girl that once relaxed and trusts people, she will show her true character which she is definitely starting to do. Every time she goes,
she gets more and more comfortable and is happy to go with the nursery staff. Woodlands have been fantastic in making me feel comfortable as well, and every single person there is a genuinely nice caring person. I'm sure over time, I will only say more positive things about the nursery, as I get to see the positive impact it has on her.

Sending our children to Woodlands in High Barnet was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Our son and daughter started going to Woodlands since they were 10 months old. For the last 3.5 years, Woodlands staff has felt like an extended family. We can’t thank them enough for caring for our children
with so much love and dedication. Our son and daughter have turned out to be very independent, confident and happy children. Over the years we have had some changes in our childcare needs, and Woodlands has always been very flexible and accommodating. We could not have survived these first years of parenthood without Woodlands and certainly could not recommend Woodlands highly enough!

My son has been attending Woodlands Day Nursery (Barnet) since he was one year old. It has been a truly wonderful experience and has laid a positive foundation for his future. He has made friendships which will be lifelong. The staff are attentive and supporting. It has been very helpful to see how

All three of my children have attended Woodlands Nursery since 2009 and I have no regrets. It is a wonderful family to belong to, with caring nursery nurses and management. The standards at the nursery are high and the food delicious, according to my children, who have often asked me to replicate dishes
made at nursery. The fact that the staffing has not changed a great deal since we started is also a good sign that it is a great place to work. My youngest is leaving Woodlands to start school this year and we are happy (no more fees) but also sad that we won’t be part of The Woodlands family anymore. In particular, the manager and her team are excellent and always willing to assist.

We are very happy for our son to go to Woodland Day Nursery. It is a recommendation from our friends who had sent their child there some years ago. They have kept their standard caring for the children, and the manager, in particular, is very accommodating to both the needs of our child and us as parents.
Our son has multiple food allergies which require extra thinking and work of the chef (nursery) but they are so happy to hear our suggestions and willing to go the extra mile to cater for his needs. I am especially thankful that the team always has time to answer any question and concerns around our child. I can't think of a better way to start a day as I truly feel that our baby is in safe hands when I needed to dash to work. Thank you all!

I've been very pleased with Woodlands and the nursery care they provide for our daughter. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and this is reflected in the children's relationships with them. It has been good to see our daughter develop whilst at Woodlands and receiving regular updates via parentzone
is a useful way to keep track of this. There always seems to be a range of activities that our daughter engages with each week which cover a good mix of education and fun. It is also good that children are encouraged to play in the garden space.


There is a good range of food provided for the children and they receive a balanced diet.


Shoe covers are provided for parents and the no shoe policy in rooms helps maintain a clean environment.


On a day to day basis communication between staff and parents is excellent and whilst there can sometimes be a delay with online communication, the weekly newsletter and email updates are much appreciated.

My experience with Woodlands Barnet has been 100% positive. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and really care about their work. My daughter loves being at nursery. The facilities are excellent and the activities are very varied and change regularly. The food is also excellent and my daughter
always eats everything at nursery, even if she doesn't at home!

I placed my daughter at Woodlands, based on a recommendation from my sister (her son is also at the same) I must say I can't imagine her being anywhere else. It is difficult to find anything negative to say. Each and every member of staff has been approachable, professional, but most of all, very caring
towards my daughter. It is so difficult going through such a transition where a mother goes back to work full time and has to put their (then 1-year-old) child into the nursery. However, the team made it so much easier. I always see that my daughter is happy and that makes me happy.
