Woodlands Day Nursery is a beautiful property, converted to create a 77 place day nursery of the highest quality.

Friendly and well-established, Woodlands provides a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual.

Much of the character of the building has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities. There are many sensory areas where the children can explore using all their senses.

The outdoor areas at Woodlands have been designed to encourage the children to explore holistically. It incorporates a covered area for babies to allow them to safely discover and investigate, whether they are crawling or walking.

My son started at Woodlands in August 2020. Like many first time parents, I was worried about sending my child to nursery. I needn’t have worried though. The staff are friendly, welcoming, helpful, informative and nurturing. They helped our child settle quickly and in a short space of time, he thrives
in going to nursery. He has made friends and loves seeing them regularly. He has so much fun enjoying the creative and varied activities on offer. He gets excited to see the staff and eats so much!
We love the fact that we receive a daily report and photos showing us what he has been up to. We also like receiving the weekly newsletter which details all the topics they have focused on. His development has improved greatly and this is testament to the brilliant atmosphere he is in and the fantastic job that the staff do.
When we go to collect him at the end of a day, he tries to go back into the nursery! I think that tells you all you need to know! Couldn’t recommend Woodlands enough.

Woodlands is a great nursery. The staff are dedicated and passionate about their work and provide a warm positive environment for the children. The sessions each day are well planned and considered, but leave lots of opportunities for play and creativity. My son was very nervous about returning after
lockdown but when I collected him on his first day he was disappointed as he didn’t want to leave. He loves the stimulation and camaraderie of his peers and he is always learning and developing at Woodlands. I can’t rate the staff team highly enough. They are kind, understanding, supportive and professional. They have taken the time to really get to know my son and they treat him like a valued individual.

My daughter had the most amazing time at Woodlands. The staff are so caring and lovely. They helped her develop the skills she needs for school so well. They have everything a child needs at the nursery, which meant that we could leave her there and not worry while getting on with work. The only thing
to say is thank you so much to all the staff, especially her lovely key workers who I won’t name on here but they were amazing. Thanks so much.

It's been a decade now since Woodlands Nursery has helped my family with childcare needs.
My children have had the opportunity to be cared for, educated and nurtured in the early years whilst at work. They have had fun memories of the caring, attentive staff, who enjoy being around children and understand
their growing needs/interests.
I would continue to recommend them to friends that require childcare that feels like family care away from home.

I have been very happy with Woodlands Nursery, which my sons have attended over the past 3-years. The nursery is very well run, and the standard of care is excellent. The preschool room offers the children lots of stimulating activities, and the staff have been great at communicating what my son has

My partner and I are very happy with the way Woodlands has handled the coronavirus. All the measures they have put into place are sensible and reassuring. Our daughter returned to the preschool room last week after 3 months away and settled back in straight away with no problems. She absolutely loves
being back and we can't thank you enough for the genuine care and attention she receives.

I have sent my son to Woodlands since he was six months old and have not looked back since.
I have stayed with the same nursery, purely as all the staff are brilliant and each staff member that has taken care of my son have had a wonderful relationship with him.
I am also very pleased with how my
son's educational needs have been met and happy with the observations/updates I get as a parent.

Very organised and friendly. My daughter loves attending. Very encouraging with toilet training. If ever I need to get my daughter out of the house in the morning; all I need to do is mention nursery, and she smiles and runs to the door. That says it all!

Our daughter has been at Woodlands since 2017 (age 13 mnths) and we have loved being part of the Woodlands family. Staff are always welcoming, helpful and personable.
We have always felt comfortable having honest and open conversations with key workers and the teams across all of the rooms however
especially with the pre-school this year. The pre-school team and especially our key worker over the past 3-4 months have supported our daughter immensely with her development and focused on any areas that needed strengthening with targeted activities. We are constantly kept updated of her progress and we have worked collectively as a team with the pre-school team to ensure our daughter achieves her very best. The team (be that senior management to room staff) are always open to talk about our concerns and suggest ways to address them in a positive and reassuring manner. We can definitely see the positive impact this joint effort between nursery and home has had on our daughter.

Woodlands is a wonderful, wonderful place and both my children have thrived there. The staff are warm and welcoming and genuinely care about the children in their care. It feels homely and I get the strong feeling that the staff really enjoy working there too, which makes a huge difference to the environment.
When my youngest goes to school we will be sad to leave!

The staff at Woodlands Barnet are outstanding, my children have attended for 5 years now and I am really happy with the staff in preschool, in particular. We felt truly happy, confident and lucky that our son went to Woodlands. During his two years at Woodlands, he developed extremely well and his teachers were constantly monitoring his progress. Staff are very well trained in all areas of childcare. Everything is high quality, from food to toys. The
childrens learning is relaxed and effective. All the staff are very happy, polite, friendly and extremely helpful. The best nursery in Barnet.

From a mother of a child who has additional needs, the nursery have gone above and beyond to cater for her. Her two key workers have been amazing and support my daughter in so many ways, they have been willing to try new things (PECS) with her and always are trying new ways to get her to communicate
and expand her learning.
I cannot thank The Preschool team enough from the bottom of my heart and all the staff at Woodlands.

Our daughter started at the nursery 9 months ago and we have been so glad we chose Woodlands (Barnet). She has developed so much in this time and become a much more confident toddler. What is your favourite feature of Woodlands?
