The nursery’s spacious rooms are light and airy, with toddlers and preschool children enjoying free flow access to the garden. Each room features age-specific resources to pique your child’s natural curiosity, such as loose parts play, home role-play corner, a reading nook, an art station and more. The team focus on children’s wellbeing and confidence, promoting individuality. They use the children’s interests as a basis for planning new activities, with children enjoying music and movement sessions, singing, cooking, dancing and PE. Babies enjoy activities that help develop their muscles and motor skills, and sensory toys that allow them to discover new textures, sights and sounds.

To extend your child’s play and learning beyond the enriching indoor facilities, the nursery in New Southgate has a stunning outdoor space. I am very impressed with this nursery. I really like how much communication there is between the nursery and the parents. The nursery facilities are great and I feel listened to by staff members. In particular, the app is a brilliant way of being able to check in on my child's day, an easy way to communicate
with nursery staff and for them to share news, information and child updates easily. I like seeing photos of what my child has been doing.

Bright Horizons, New Southgate is an absolutely fantastic nursery. All the staff are genuinely caring, fun and great teachers. Our daughters have learnt so much in their three years at the nursery, having done so many different activities. They are also fully prepared for school. I couldn’t recommend

Bright Horizons New Southgate Day Nursery and Preschool has been such a great nursery to send my child to. My child has built such a strong positive connection with all the staff there. The work my child does at nursery and brings home demonstrates the learning they are developing at nursery. They are
always busy making things, learning through play, reading and singing and so much more. As a mother, I to have built such a good rapport with the staff, very friendly, polite and sociable. My child is so happy when they attend nursery and has gained so much confidence. Thank you Bright Horizons.

I am so glad I choose this nursery for my daughter! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are doing lots of fun activities every day and my child is having a great time there! When I leave my child there, I know she is safe and happy! I would definitely recommend it to other parents and carers!

All staff are amazing, get the use of the app and updates are sent, with pictures. So glad my son has settled right in! I can see a difference in him academically already! There are plenty of resources available to help them learn and play.

My older son attended this nursery from 11 months to the week before reception. The nursery turned outstanding a few months after he joined and now my little daughter, who's in the toddler's room, has also been since she turned 1year old. I really trust the team and I think the management is fantastic.
They have daily new activities (which we see via an app), they invest plenty on resources (especially in the last year), they plan way ahead, many new activities, aligning the calendar to multicultural festivities, season etc. They look at the needs of each kid and work with you to overcome them, with tips and even supporting material to use at home. Both my kids love this nursery and are so happy going in the morning and when collected. It's not my closest nursery, but I think it is worth the commute.

My daughter joined the nursery in the baby room, a few months ago and we have been very happy with the nursery overall. The staff are really nice and give us feedback at the end of each session, on how she is doing. They genuinely care about the children and their development. The app is great for updates
on how their day is going, as well as sending us pictures of all the activities they have been doing. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying it too.

We are very happy with my son’s experience at the nursery. He started in the baby room and is now in the preschool one. Staff in all three rooms have been kind, caring and genuinely engaged with his development. Many of them have been there a long time. My eight year old also attended the preschool
there and some are the same, so staff satisfaction and retention are obviously good too. The facilities are great and the activities are well thought out and varied. Thank you!

My son started at the nursery just before turning 1 year old, he has settled in well and has been very well supported by the staff, especially his key worker. His key worker provides me with useful feedback and is monitoring his development, whilst providing him with fun learning activities adapted

My son has been here since he was 9months old I am very happy and have had no concerns since day one. The staff are very good at working with families and routines to make life easier for you. My son is now in preschool and the difference in him is amazing. He has learnt so much while being here. He
has grown to be a confident boy and very clever. The staff always keep us up to date on the development and I would recommend to anyone. I am going to miss them as much as my son for sure as he loves it there.

We are very happy with Bright Horizons New Southgate Nursery for the following reasons: Their mobile app is excellent. It provides all of the updates you need to know about your child in real-time, including, what they have eaten, when they have slept and all of the nappy changes. The staff communication
is excellent, both through the messaging on the app as well as the verbal discussions we have when picking our child up at the end of the day. All of the processes are thorough and consistent, such as the accident reporting. Security and safety is taken very seriously. The Management and Staff are extremely positive and responsive to any concerns we have, taking on board our feedback and preferences very quickly. The overall development of our child is very well documented, with plenty of photos and detailed write-ups which facilitate the parent's evenings which are held on a periodic basis. They have lots and lots of fun and festive activities for the kids!

My daughter (who is now 13 months) started going to the nursery in January with two weeks of settling in sessions, which I now know is very rare. The nursery staff are so caring, patient and attentive and really treated her like she was their own child.
We received regular updates about her during
the day which made us feel reassured. The staff really went above and beyond to care for her and make her feel comfortable during her settling period (especially the nursery manager and her key person). A month later and she still gets a little upset at drop off but she settles really quickly and enjoys all the activities the nursery provides. We can already see that she has developed so much in the last month, especially with her eating and speaking. We feel really comfortable with the nursery and know that she is getting the best care. I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend the nursery to any parent.

My son has been attending this nursery for almost three years and we are extremely happy with it. He has been making friends, and always comes home excited and tells us about the fun activities he's taken part in that day. The staff are excellent. They look after him well and we get really regular,
personalised updates on how he is getting on. The management team are always ready to help and very approachable. Responses to any concerns are rapid. Meals are nutritious, reading and writing are encouraged and rewarded, physical activities happen daily. I couldn't ask for more! Baby girl will be starting here soon too!

My daughter started New Southgate at just 11 months old. As a parent, I was worried about putting her in so young however the team there are amazing. She loves coming into nursery and seeing her friends. She had trouble eating now she eats everything. The Chef is lovely cooks beautiful food and is also
welcoming. My child's development has progressed so much and I'm forever grateful for this. The nursery is beautiful lots of fun activities the nursery posts on the App. We always get updated with things happening within the nursery. They have Zoolab visiting and chick's coming to the nursery.

The nursery offers a fun, educational and safe environment for my child who loves his time there and always looks forward to attending. Job Title: Deputy Manager

Tanlyne has been with Bright Horizons for over 10 years, beginning her journey as a nursery nurse and progressing to the current role of Deputy Manager. During this time, she has developed a strong passion for early years education and truly enjoys being part of each child's learning journey.


Tanlyne takes great pride in supporting children as they grow, reach key milestones, and develop into confident little learners. Building strong, trusting relationships with families is also very important to her, and she values the opportunity to work in partnership with parents to give every child the best start in life.
