Leaving your precious child to be looked after by strangers is never an easy decision but Bright Horizons, Beckenham, made us feel so welcomed and feel loved and special. All the staff seem very loving and caring, they always greet us with a smile and they always ask about us, how we feel, how the day
has been. Since the app has been introduced, it made life so much easier and I love receiving pictures and updates about my child throughout the day. Makes me feel reassured that my child receives the best care.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 15 months old. He is now in the toddler room. I've seen him progress from a shy baby to a happy little boy who looks forward to going to the nursery every day. When I pick him up he tells me all about his day and who he's played with. They have a lovely garden
space at the nursery which gets used all year round and my son loves nothing more than jumping in a puddle. He's not very adventurous with his food but has grown more confident in exploring new tastes alongside his friends at mealtimes. It's great him having a routine and we're just starting the potty training journey which the nursery have been great in supporting him with. The last year has been challenging in regards to dealing with the pandemic but the nursery has been great with detailed written daily handovers. I get weekly parent emails with what the children have been up to and it gives me an insight into what he can look forward to doing when he moves up to preschool.

Both of my children have attended Bright Horizons, all the way through from six months to the Pre-School room. It has been such a kind and nurturing setting. The staff are excellent with the children and they clearly care for their welfare and education to a high standard. The children are able to make
close bonds with their key workers and other staff in the room, and we have always felt sad saying goodbye to staff as our children have moved rooms. Our youngest child has just moved into the Pre-School room which he is enjoying, especially the large outdoor space that he can play in for a lot of the day. For any new parents looking for a nursery for their little one, we couldn’t recommend Bright Horizons enough. We looked at at least five nurseries before we chose this one, the management team are outstanding in helping with any additional information and support we needed as parents.

The transformation at this nursery over the last two years has been excellent and this is down to the stable, knowledgeable and driven leadership and management of the nursery. Where previously bank staff were commonplace and staff turnover high, the more recent stability in staffing has only further
enhanced our appreciation of the leadership of the nursery.
There is still work to do in improving the rigour of the learning of pre-school children in order to fully prepare them for primary school. This, in turn, needs to be further communicated to parents in order for them to support with their child’s learning.

Our daughter attended from 10months old until 4years old. She wasn’t the easiest for drop-offs due to anxiety etc so there were usually tears, but every time, all the key workers were incredible. They looked after her so well, were so kind and considerate to her quirks and ways. My daughter also had
a serious choking incident when she was little, and again, the key workers acted impeccably fast and administered first aid perfectly and most likely saved her life. We moved house to a different area when she was just moving into pre-school, but we kept her here. It is such a fantastic setting, fantastic with the children and we didn’t want to leave. We are now sending our littlest one there as well! We wouldn’t send him anywhere else! Highly highly recommend it and everyone that works there.

All the staff have made my children feel very welcome from day one and also myself and my husband. The staff are always busy with the children whenever we see them but are always there for me too. My children have good relationships with everyone and my eldest constantly talks about all of the staff
including the Management. I couldn't be happier with my choice and I'm sure we will be here for many years to come!

My daughter is just about to graduate from the Preschool and I’m so happy with the care and progress she has made since being there. She absolutely loves the teachers and constantly talks about them, even the teachers from other rooms and the managers. I honestly feel like it is part of our extended

My son has just graduated from this nursery after attending for two years. We have been delighted with the level of care, particularly the connections he has formed with staff. He was previously at a nursery where he was extremely unhappy. This was a very stressful time for us and we thought we may
have to take him out of nurseries entirely. From the beginning, staff at Bright Horizons were calm and reassuring. He settled quickly - we were amazed - and has blossomed there ever since.
A lot of effort goes into events (the recent graduation was wonderful) and creating a dynamic, fun learning environment for children. We achieved some milestones together, such as potty training, and I felt truly supported by the expertise and kindness of their team.

My grandson has been attending the baby room from 11 months (now 19 months). I have always found the team and their leaders to be absolutely lovely!
Most importantly for me, the feel of the setting is both loving and nurturing as well as safe and professional.
A full and honest account of the day
is given after each visit and any issues raised are given clear thought and appropriate action in consultation with the parent/carer (such as adjusting a sleep pattern).
The staff really want the children to enjoy their nursery experience and my daughter (mum) and I really appreciate their care and skills.

The staff seem very hard working but at times shorten numbers, no doubt just meeting the minimum requirements to maximise the 'big-boys' profit. The outside space need improvements/modernization. A 'growing' area for the children would be great so they learn about fruit and vegetables. An excellent
and wide-ranging selection of food/meals which is popular with our son. The staff are well liked by our son.

A good experience. My daughter is happy at the nursery and seems to have positive relationships and experiences there. Play is imaginative and food varied. She always seems to eat it all.

My son is in the baby room. He clearly loves being there and has great affection for the baby room staff, and they for him.
He always seems stimulated and engaged by the various activities and every week he brings home a new skill or behaviour that he’s learned.
He also does get ‘babied’ when this
is needed and it’s nice to know that, just like at home, there’s no limit on cuddles.
My daughter has been attending the preschool for about eight months and I am very happy with the care she receives there. The staff are all caring and kind and treat her as an individual while consistently reinforcing socialisation and names.
I’m particularly pleased with the increasing focus on getting ready for school as my child and her older classmates face their first day of school in September.
The learning activities are fantastic and really stick eg my daughter can recite the names of the planets in the correct order!

Choosing the right nursery is such a huge and daunting decision for all parents, but I think this is especially true when it's your first child. We visited lots of different nurseries and although Beckenham Day Nursery and Preschool wasn't the closest to our home, we got the best feeling when we met
the staff and were shown around.


I'm pleased to say we made the right decision for our daughter, who was just about 1 year old when she first started. The staff are incredible, the love and care they show to all of the kids there is plain to see every single day, and we instantly knew she was in the right place.


Over the past 6 months, our daughter has developed brilliantly and this is in no small part down to the varied activities, lovely food, cute friends she's made and the professionalism and love shown by the team. Can't recommend them enough.

When choosing a nursery I warmed to Teddies because of the home from home feel, I preferred the layout of this nursery and the staff immediately felt like friends, big smiles and cuddles for my children. My daughter started off in September attending morning session and straight away the nursery staff
picked up on her delayed speech and language communication. Without the referral from the nursery getting her speech and language sessions might have been a more lengthy process. Once I retuned to work full time both children (2.5 years & 10 months) started to attend Teddies 3 full days a week. The staff at Teddies have been so accommodating and couldn't have made my return to work more smoother.
The meals are great and they also provide nappies. Thankfully both children look forward to their days at nursery and this is because of the staff making them feel welcomed. Free road parking at the nursery also helps with access to Elmers End station if travelling into London, massive bonus!
