Bright Horizons Beckenham Day Nursery and Preschool

We have been so happy with our decision to use Bright Horizons, Beckenham. Our daughter started at 12 months old and has recently started primary school. I truly believe that her time at nursery helped her transition really smoothly into school life. Our son is now in the toddler room at Bright Horizons and is thriving! I think the thing that stands out the most, is the relationship all the staff have with the children. They really get to know them and our children have fallen in love with a few of their key workers. The management team are extremely knowledgeable, professional and approachable. I know once I drop my son off, that he is in the best hands and it has become a home from home for him. He is kept active with interesting activities, loves the huge garden and all the toys available there and he loves the meals he gets whilst there. I can confidently say that it provides a loving, nurturing environment and it is a pleasure to have sent our children there!

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The environment is clean and friendly with lots of outdoor space to play in. The children use the outdoor space very frequently, no matter the weather. My child loves it there and loves the chef's cooking, always asking for seconds and thirds! Been there for over two years now and feel like no other provision can compare! Thank you to all the staff at Beckenham Day Nursery.

Absolutely amazing team that have really gone over and beyond to make my child happy. Always willing to listen and take on board ideas. I would not ask for a better nursery.

Our boy started as a baby in a different nursery and after a year we decided to move nurseries as it wasn't going great. Not an easy decision as he had his friends and habits, but we are so happy we moved him to Bright Horizons. He's now been there for ten months and the staff have all been amazing from day one. They are all kind and experienced and I feel in complete peace leaving my kid with them. They always do fun activities, indoors and outdoors. I love their garden space. The nursery staff in the office (manager, etc) as well as the cook, are all nice too. The turnover is incredibly low, there hasn't been any staff departure since we joined. We're also very happy with communication. They use an app that actually works and we check it daily. We see pics very regularly too. Our boy, now in preschool, is always in a great mood when we pick him up. His carers have also been amazing at advising us and supporting his transition to pants. Highly recommended, with all our thanks.

From the first moment visiting this nursery, myself and my child, felt welcomed. The staff are friendly and informative. With the support from the staff, my child is safe and happy. They have also been consistent with supporting my child with eating and forming friendships. There is a wide range of activities to help support and develop each child and their needs. My child is always eager to go back to nursery, even after pick up and at weekends. Her confidence and speech has grown so much since attending and I can't wait to see her progress, more.

We have recently moved our little one to Bright Horizons, Beckenham, since we moved areas. We were so worried about the move and how our daughter would make the change. She was in toddler room when we moved and I have to say between the manager and deputy manager's support, we truly didn't feel any issues. Our daughter settled very well and the team was so welcoming and caring, supporting her through the transition. The one-to-one approach and interest that the team takes and build with every child, is incredible and our daughter really feels super happy going there. Everyone is always ready to help and definitely always open to share their own experiences. They have also been supportive with the fact that our daughter is growing and working with our little one to help her through this phase. Really appreciate everything you are doing for us and wishing the whole team, the best. What you are doing with all those kids, is an incredible job.

I feel so lucky that we chose to send my daughter to this nursery. She started at 12-months and is now in the pre-school. It’s been like a home from home and the staff are exceptional. We have the same core team there as from the very beginning which is so unusual in this industry and they are all smart, kind and caring. They provide creativity in the learning and my daughter absolutely loves her days with her friends and carers. Thanks so much and especially to four members of staff.

The nursery has been fantastic, particularly due to the wonderful staff who clearly care a lot about the children. Our child has been there from the baby room through preschool and is very happy there.

The staff at Bright Horizons are great and our daughter clearly enjoys her time there. They are well equipped with outdoor as well as indoor equipment and activities, as well as messy, creative and group activities. The staff are always helpful if we have any questions and the app allows us to easily communicate with the nursery as well as provides up to date info on how her day is going (activities, eating, nappy changes and naps etc). Highly recommended.

Leaving your precious child to be looked after by strangers is never an easy decision but Bright Horizons, Beckenham, made us feel so welcomed and feel loved and special. All the staff seem very loving and caring, they always greet us with a smile and they always ask about us, how we feel, how the day has been. Since the app has been introduced, it made life so much easier and I love receiving pictures and updates about my child throughout the day. Makes me feel reassured that my child receives the best care.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 15 months old. He is now in the toddler room. I've seen him progress from a shy baby to a happy little boy who looks forward to going to the nursery every day. When I pick him up he tells me all about his day and who he's played with. They have a lovely garden space at the nursery which gets used all year round and my son loves nothing more than jumping in a puddle. He's not very adventurous with his food but has grown more confident in exploring new tastes alongside his friends at mealtimes. It's great him having a routine and we're just starting the potty training journey which the nursery have been great in supporting him with. The last year has been challenging in regards to dealing with the pandemic but the nursery has been great with detailed written daily handovers. I get weekly parent emails with what the children have been up to and it gives me an insight into what he can look forward to doing when he moves up to preschool.

Both of my children have attended Bright Horizons, all the way through from six months to the Pre-School room. It has been such a kind and nurturing setting. The staff are excellent with the children and they clearly care for their welfare and education to a high standard. The children are able to make close bonds with their key workers and other staff in the room, and we have always felt sad saying goodbye to staff as our children have moved rooms. Our youngest child has just moved into the Pre-School room which he is enjoying, especially the large outdoor space that he can play in for a lot of the day. For any new parents looking for a nursery for their little one, we couldn’t recommend Bright Horizons enough. We looked at at least five nurseries before we chose this one, the management team are outstanding in helping with any additional information and support we needed as parents.

There is still work to do in improving the rigour of the learning of pre-school children in order to fully prepare them for primary school. This, in turn, needs to be further communicated to parents in order for them to support with their child’s learning.

Found communication with the staff brilliant, and my son has settled in quicker then I had hoped, which is testament to everyone working here. He comes out every night telling me how much fun he has had. Thank you.

Our daughter attended from 10months old until 4years old. She wasn’t the easiest for drop-offs due to anxiety etc so there were usually tears, but every time, all the key workers were incredible. They looked after her so well, were so kind and considerate to her quirks and ways. My daughter also had a serious choking incident when she was little, and again, the key workers acted impeccably fast and administered first aid perfectly and most likely saved her life. We moved house to a different area when she was just moving into pre-school, but we kept her here. It is such a fantastic setting, fantastic with the children and we didn’t want to leave. We are now sending our littlest one there as well! We wouldn’t send him anywhere else! Highly highly recommend it and everyone that works there.

The nursery has been a great added development from since my son was 18-months-old till currently at 4-years-old. Very well support team and has supported my son and me throughout the years he had attended.

All the staff have made my children feel very welcome from day one and also myself and my husband. The staff are always busy with the children whenever we see them but are always there for me too. My children have good relationships with everyone and my eldest constantly talks about all of the staff including the Management. I couldn't be happier with my choice and I'm sure we will be here for many years to come!

My daughter is just about to graduate from the Preschool and I’m so happy with the care and progress she has made since being there. She absolutely loves the teachers and constantly talks about them, even the teachers from other rooms and the managers. I honestly feel like it is part of our extended family. We will miss them terribly once she leaves!

A lot of effort goes into events (the recent graduation was wonderful) and creating a dynamic, fun learning environment for children. We achieved some milestones together, such as potty training, and I felt truly supported by the expertise and kindness of their team.

The staff really want the children to enjoy their nursery experience and my daughter (mum) and I really appreciate their care and skills.
