The nursery at RAF Northolt is a purpose-built building offering bright and airy rooms. The nursery has a highly qualified and dedicated staff team that provides a fun and caring environment for children to nurture and develop.

Children learn through Unique Growing Programmes such as Growing Readers and Mathematicians. Physical activities are also an important part of a child’s day and the children engage in exercise through an Active Athletes programme. The nursery also offers extracurricular activities.

All meals are included in the nursery fees and are prepared onsite by the nursery cook. Meals are created using fresh ingredients and meet individual dietary requirements.

In addition, settling in sessions are provided free of charge enabling children to get to know their key worker and familiarise themselves with the nursery environment.

All staff are very dedicated to the children - they clearly care about them and enjoy teaching and playing with them. The activities are varied and imaginative. The staff are keen to support the children in important life skills, e.g. encouragement of my child to take care of and be gentle with babies
was very helpful before their new sibling arrived!
I could not recommend this nursery enough.

Absolutely fantastic staff. My daughter loves going to the nursery every single day (even asks for weekends too!). I would like to say a massive thank you to you all as a big part of our lives! No issues at all.

My son has settled into Bright Horizons RAF Northolt beautifully over the last year. We couldn’t be happier with everything the nursery does for him, and he loves all the staff he has working with him.

I sent my daughter to Bright Horizons when she was nine months old, and she happily stayed until she was school-age.
My son is now in the nursery and has recently moved to Bluebells. He now goes in happily, which eases the stress from me when I have to leave him.
Whichever room they are in, I have
full confidence in the staff members. They are so friendly and approachable, and they always contact me if there have been any incidents.

Going well so far - keeps me well informed.
A bit of mixed communication in person at times; otherwise, it’s going well.
He hasn’t been there very long.
Looking forward to seeing him develop even further in there!

Overall, my son has significantly developed over the last few months. He's become a very independent and confident child. This has been a massive input from the staff and the confidence they have built-in him.

We visited Bright Horizons for our parents' evening. The staff were so friendly and helpful with questions and they set up tables to explain different activities the children take part in. We got to talk to everyone and had a good chat with our son's key person.

My little boy attends Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt and has been going for a little while now. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting, he absolutely loves it there and all the team that works there and so do we! They really care about your little ones and are just as invested as you are in
your little ones. I can't recommend this nursery enough! Bluebells are great!

My son is in the baby room and they are always ready to help. They are very accommodating to his individual needs. The nursery as a whole is very friendly. I know I can go to any staff member if I have a question. The management team, is always ready to answer any questions I have about funding or tax-free
scheme.

Excellent nursery. The daily activities are very educational and my daughter appears to be developing very well. The activities range from painting to familiarity with computers. The staff knows my daughter very well, and the managers are very involved in welfare. The staff keeps you informed of the
day's events via the app throughout the day and gives a thorough handover upon collection. This includes any map times and food consumed. My daughter is extremely happy at this nursery and we are sending our youngest child there too.

Everyone who works at the nursery puts the children's development at the heart of what they do. The pastoral care is excellent. The staff take time to listen and respond. The updates are helpful and provide a great link between home and nursery life.
Nothing ever seems too much trouble. I have seen
both my children develop under their care.

Our little boy started at Bright Horizons aged 10months. He attends Full-time Monday - Friday. Since being at Bright Horizons, they have worked alongside us as parents to assist with helping him eat better, socialise and walk. We get weekly phone calls and work with his key worker to ensure we are doing
the same work at home as at nursery. He’s come on so much and he’s happy. In the 6 weeks since attending he now eats everything and we don’t worry that he will be hungry or only want puréed food. He has learnt many songs and at home, he sits and shows us actions. He walks and talks all day. It’s been a pleasure watching him adapt and become more confident.

My son attended Bright Horizons RAF Northolt and now my daughter. She loves going in.
Her development has been immense and the team's attention to detail cannot be faulted. They have a vast amount of learning activities, great outside space and every day you receive an update with how your child is
getting on.
This is a great stepping stone before school.

Where do I start! Both of my children have been at the nursery over the last year. My son started school in September and was fully prepared after the great job all the staff did with him. My daughter is still there as she is now 2. My little girl is thriving, she is so well looked after and just loves
the girls in her room. She constantly talks about them at home and gets very excited to go in each day. I get regular updates from her key worker and I feel like I’m genuinely cared about. My husband has been on deployment with our military and they are very good at helping with any concerns I have. The ladies on the reception desk are always lovely, they always chat and ask how everyone is and if there’s anything we need. We get information every day on what the children have eaten and what they’ve been up to as well as a newsletter emailed out. I always feel comfortable enough to be able to ask questions and have input, which is very important. The communication is spot on.

I am really happy with this nursery and both my kids that attend always want to go. At one point my youngest child was only going 3 days a week, whereas my eldest was attending 4 days. On the day the youngest didn't go, when we used to drop the eldest she would cry when we left, as a result we up'ed
the days to 4 for the youngest as well. This just shows how much she loves going to nursery.

Both my children have attended Bright Horizons @ RAF Northolt, with my youngest still attending. I have been extremely happy with the care they received and how they support them getting ready for school. The staff within the whole nursery are caring towards all children. They still make an effort,
asking my eldest how his day at school was when we come to collect. The management team are always welcoming and willing to help if I have any queries regarding anything.

All of the staff that we have come into contact with over the last 18 months have always been incredibly friendly and helpful.
They genuinely care for the development of your child. The team from the baby room still ask how our oldest is doing and the managers know all of the children's names.
Both
of our children enjoy their time there, which is a real comfort when we're working.
They often have several helpings of their meals (including dairy-free) and come home having learnt something new.

We have sent our son to Bright Horizons Nursery for the past 2.5 years and throughout we have been thoroughly impressed by the staff and everything that they do. Professional, caring and very competent. The team have never once given us cause for concern. The ultimate test is that our son has been happy
throughout. The staff at the nursery are clearly a strong team. Please do not change a winning formula! Additionally, the catering team do an excellent job of producing a varied and nutritious menu. The building could be improved with air conditioning and/or sunshades. The Bluebells classroom gets extremely hot during the summer months.

My daughter has recently started this nursery and the staff and her key carer have been great at helping to settle her in. The settling sessions offered by the nursery are a fantastic starting point to help both our daughter and us as first-time parents. The staff are always available to answer any
question we may have and we love her daily diary that tells us about her day at nursery. The menus are varied with an excellent range of meals that are freshly prepared daily. The activities are great and the outdoor space is amazing, especially as our little one loves being outdoors. She has been outside every day.

Our 2-year-old son started with Bright Horizons not long ago, and as his first nursery setting, we were nervous as to how he would cope. We needn't have been. The staff were so welcoming, talking us through the settling process and ensuring the best options to make it a smooth transition. Always there
to greet us on arrival, they created quick bonds with our son making drop-offs a breeze and provide daily feedback at pick up.
We haven't looked back. Our son is thriving and loving every minute there.
Couldn't recommend it more!

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.260)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.260) out of 10 for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.26 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 number of registered child places is 14.8. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.8 = 0.135
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
