The Review Score of 9.3 (maximum of 10) for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.931 for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.931

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.405 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 14.8 positive Reviews (74 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 6 Reviews ÷ 14.8 Target = 0.405

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My son has attended Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt since he was 8 months old, he has transitioned through every room with excellent support from all members of staff. He is currently in his last year with Bright Horizons. The attention to detail form his Key workers is brilliant! They really know him as a child and how to engage with him and support his learning.
I was an anxious first time mother, and the staff in the baby room helped to settle both my son and myself.
Everyone makes you feel welcome and you can tell they all work great together as one big happy team!
Thank you to everyone who has made our families time at Bright Horizons so wonderful.

Our whole family is delighted that our little girl can go to this wonderful place of care and learning.
She is there full time, five days a week - and I'm pretty sure she enjoys it a lot. She seems so happy and excited every morning when we drop her off - and chatty and happy when we pick her up in the afternoon. The place is very welcoming and friendly - and you cannot fault their safety and security.

The personal attention all babies get is really nice and touching, and she bonded well with her key person and buddies. We both work full time with no family around to chip into childcare, so for us it vital that we know she's happy and enjoying her days while we are apart. They do so many exciting things - I don't think I could provide that much stimulation if we were at home together. The little ones seem to learn something new each day.

Overall, we are very happy with the nursery and love the staff.

My twins have been at this nursery for just over 2 years on a full-time basis. I can't rate the nursery highly enough.
Plenty of outdoor space is a real bonus and the kids get a lot of time outside.
Some change over of staff/key workers is inevitable and sad when it happened but my children have adapted well to any changes and soon settled with new staff. Good communication with parents.
A fantastic facility at RAF Northolt - brilliant for service families but also catering for civilians without losing the understanding of the difficult needs of service children and parents.

Our son joined Bright Horizons at 11 months old and we refer to them as his "work family". He loved it from the very beginning. The care given is outstanding not only from his key workers but all of them. In the baby room, they really encouraged him to what level he was comfortable and did lots of development activities which we also took on at home as he enjoyed them so much. He's now moved up to the 2-3 year room and continues to do well. One of the things we love is the nutrition of the meals which are made on site and the no pressure environment. Would highly recommend all aspects.

Simply fantastic. I was apprehensive as this was the first nursery I have used as we had a childminder at my previous location. They settled in amazingly with encouragement and confidence from the staff. If my son was sad, they let him go see his sister in the other class for a cuddle. They always went above and beyond to make them feel special and comfortable.
Extremely professional, they record info during the day. They print photos for you to take home and tell you all about their day and keep you up to date with development.
They really did love my children; they were kind, compassionate and really interested in them. It’s like a big family in there and you can really feel the positive vibes and team ethos. They really do love their job.
The facilities are second to none; you won’t find a nursery with a better outdoor space in London or more secure location.
We sadly had to leave after 6 months due to a job move but in those 6 months the impact made will stay with us all forever.

I could not be happier with Bright Horizons at RAF Northolt. The care and attention my little boy receives are wonderful and as a result, he is very happy. I had to return to work earlier than I had anticipated, so was nervous leaving my baby. However, the staff were great with my baby and with me. I love the weekly newsletters letting me know what will be happening the following week. The different foods and varying menus are fantastic and have expanded his already varied diet. The staff really do love my child. The garden/outdoor space is huge, far bigger than every other nursery I looked at. The number of different activities they do every day is impressive and as a result, I do not feel that I have to do messy play or sand pit play at home. Cannot fault this nursery.
